Really pleased the surgery went well. We all take breathing for granted don’t we but when there is a problem it’s a real hard struggle isn’t it.

Thank goodness, Sunshine. I'm so relieved and happy the transplant went well. I know he's got a long road to recovery, but I hope and pray this will go smoothly for him. Both my DSs have sent their very best wishes.

Thankyou everyone for all the kind messages. My son is continuing to do well. They removed his ventilator and woke him up. He is very tired and quite confused. This afternoon they removed his feeding tube. He is talking a little bit. They gave him an epidural so he is not in pain. He is not ready for visitors yet. Much to sleepy. My DIL has been amazing, she has been by his bedside all the time she can. I am looking after GS2 so my DIL can stay in a premier inn near the hospital. I am probably going home at the weekend when my DIL’s parents are coming to take over the child care. My little GS is missing his mummy and daddy. Most of the time he is fine but last night he had a wobble, so he had a sleepover in my bedroom. He said he will sleep in his own room tonight because I snore REALLY loudly! Cheeky monkey xx
