Nice things ahead this week for me are :

Going into GS1's class at school to hear children read. This is something parents or grandparents are invited to to this Tuesday.

Going out with OH and my auntie for lunch on Wednesday. This will be the first time auntie has been out for many weeks.

Meeting up next weekend with our friends who have been away on holiday since before Christmas.

I wanted to say we are going to a nice hotel next Friday for Burns night and staying there overnight.

Residents First weekend is is an annual thing. It's when residents flock into the city as they get to do lots of things free, so it will be busy. Having a booking for lunch and your Yorvik tickets will be a godsend . Have fun!

York having been doing this for over 20 years Daisy. Good for residents, and brings people into the the the city at a quiet time of year. Even if you do free stuff you tend to spend money on meals or snacks while you are out.

I'm going on a surprise day out on Wednesday!
OH knows I think that I don't spend enough time doing anything for me, and that I hate these early months of the year. So, she has arranged something. I found out today that 2 of her golf friends (who I am also friendly with) are coming too. She assures me it is not golf related!!
Next Tuesday a group of us are going to see Grease at the theatre. Things are looking up!

I'm looking forward to having a sleepover here for GS1 Tues - Weds. GS2 will be spending the day with us Thurs. Love it.

Next Thursday we are going on trip round a local brewery!

Next Sunday we are going to London for the night. We will arrive at midday and our train home the following day isn't until after 6 pm, so almost 2 days for one night stay. Premier Inns are cheaper on Sunday nights, and Monday is usual a free day for us, so it works well.

This morning we booked an overnight stay in Ilkley for our anniversary next month. A gin lounge with rooms above The reviews are very good, and we like a night away not too far away sometimes. You feel just as refreshed without all the travel!
