Q at Kew they have sky walk for kiddies and adults and an education centre. There is quite a bit to do there for little people. It is easy to get to from the rail station too. A fifteen minute or so walk or a short bus ride will take you to Richmond where lunch would be cheaper than Kew or most of the food outlets around Kew Station. If going to Tausauds see if you can book a fast track ticket to sa e queuing as, although I havent been there for years, I have seen absolutely enormous queues outside during holiday times. Feel free to ring me if you go to Kew, I am within easy driving distance and it isn’t like I am going to be rushed off my feet
For us I do not know what we will be doing now considering I am going to be unemployed at least for a while. Husband says we should just do what we would normally and that we will still have enough money for holidays. I know we will still be better off than a lot of my colleagues but I am still a bit windy about spending too much although I feel I need a holiday and will need one even more by the time the flat refurb is finished! If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

We've booked!
After toying with Malta, The Canaries, and Croatia, we have finally gone for the hotel we have been to twice before and love in Majorca
I have felt a bit down lately with one thing and another, and to actually have something firmly booked is a spirit lifter!
We shall be away from June 24th to July 3rd. Avoiding family birthdays and OH's golf competitions - and her golf break in early June!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem - that's great news, and just what you need to cheer yourself up. You're pretty certain of a good holiday when you've been there before and loved it. We've only been to Majorca once - when our DSs were little, but we've been to Menorca more recently and enjoyed that. You should be sure of good weather at the end of June!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Thanks ladies!
Even better, I have discovered that DD2s short break with 2 friends in Majorca, part of her 40th celebrations, is while we are there! DD and I are excited and we will all meet up for lunch or something“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Just booked a few days in Amsterdam for OH's birthday. Well, his birthday is in March and the trip is in May! Thought wee might need a break after kitchen fitting! We're going on the direct From London to Amsterdam new Eurostar service. He's a train buff, so it should be ideal and we can relive memories of A'dam from when we lived there!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Unfortunately we had to cancel the cruise we had booked, don’t think we’ll make any plans at the moment, but might manage a few days away later in the year. It’s so nice to have something to look forward to and good to hear all your plans."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss
