๐๐ Gem, I actually look forward to time on my own, just a week. I eat all the things he dislikes that I like, I can sew until the cows come home, I can be as tidy or untidy as I like. Just for a week though.

We were talking about this today. Husband, due to the nature of his work and their holiday process, has booked two weeks off in March but I have an event during that time and I want to be back at work for a few days before a national event which I have organised takes place. I just want to be back in time to solve any problems that arise during my holiday so we will only be away a week at the most.
We we will aim for something that flies from Heathrow as it is easier for us and it will be in Europe, somewhere nice and warm. We have a murder mystery weekend in vouchers to spend as well. Husband wants to go away in September as we did this year and of course our biggie in November. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Holiday booked !!!
We are going to London for a week Spring bank holiday week taking eldest granddaughter with us, staying at our fave hotel Premier Inn looking forward to it ๐ it will be a full on week she wants to go to on the underground which is inevitable to get anywhere, changing of the Guard , we are staying near Big Ben, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey so that should be easy, a trip up the Thames, London Eye good heavens have you seen the price ยฃ20 for a child for 30 mins think only one adult going on that with g/d , Dianas playground heard mixed reports of that will think about that it is near Kensington Palace so will be that way as I love Hyde park , a walk along the embankement another favourite of mine, I would have liked to have gone to Kew Gardens but think g/d would get bored , if we have time the British Museum , but it would take a full day to get round and there are so many other sites she could see hope the weather is good ๐ she has been with her daddy once and seen the Tower of London and Natural history Museum
If your reading this Sum1or Zi know I promised to meet up with Jane but there will no time but might ring from hotel lolLast edited by Qwerty; 13-01-2018, 08:12 PM.

Qwerty - what a fantastic week you will all have. Your GD1 is just the right age to enjoy all those exciting outings. We were lucky enough to live either just north or just south of London for several years and we used to love taking our own sons to all the 'sights' - and it was often the first time for us, too! We were lucky we could just take a day trip though.

Well ladies I could have had a week abroad when we add up what itโs costing but shrouds donโt have pockets so we are biting the bullet and going for it, memories to be made and yes Daisy at 7 sheโs the right age , sheโs really good company when we take her out, well behaved, and asking grandad questions which he always seems to be able to answer, not sure we will get away again this year apart from the odd weekend in a nice hotel but who knows.
