I know Oma, but you will have Chrismas and our Nothern meet first, and maybe you can at least book a holiday. I always feel better if something is booked

Stop, stop! I haven't even begun.....well I did have four days in France last month. Looking forward to a week in the Lakes with my two brothers and sisters-in-law in September, a SiL won this prize in a church raffle last year while we were on an HF holiday. Then in October we are going to Tenerife with six friends. The men will play golf and we ladies will play cards and read and chat and eat and drink and anything else that takes our fancy. All should be marvellous. πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Lots of interesting place to see, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallin and two days in St Petersburg. Will be busy this week washing, ironing and packing.
Lucky you Enfys. Not envious at all! I love cruises. Which ship are you going on?

You'll have a great time Grauntie

Clover, we're going on P&O Adonia, their smallest ship which unfortunately is being moved to the Carnival line next year.

We are booked on the Adonia to go up the Amazon next February so will be interested to know what it is like. I know it is a smaller all adult ship. Loved the Baltic, we went on the Oriana and had a great time.

All this talk of holidays in far-flung places is feeding my wanderlust. The most I can hope for at the moment is a trip into Southampton tomorrow to wave Enfys on her way.

I've just checked where Adonia is at the moment - St Peter Port (Guernsey). She looks a beautiful ship.

We are nearly ready. Most of the packing is done, just DH's suit and jacket to go in the suit carrier. Hair done, nails painted, everything ticked off my lists......

We have been on the Adonia before, she is a lovely ship and it's such a shame she is moving to another company next year. Your trip up the Amazon could well,be one of her last cruises with P & O, Millie.

Will wave to you Daisy....well in the general direction πŸ‘‹πŸš’

Husband has just seen a holiday he knows I would love for next year, India's golden triangle. Fingers crossed there are still places. Whilst looking through the brochure he has seen 4 days in KrakΓ³w. This is advertised as a Christmas market fest but there is an option to visit Auschwitz. Not everyone's cup of tea, but we are keen to go.
One Christmas market will suffice. πŸŽ…πŸ»

We have the offer of staying at a friends apartment in Spain. Very kind of them. Two drawbacks however. With my Birmingham trip, a golf overnighter for OH, and my mums birthday all in September, and both GCs birthdays in October, we would struggle to find a time to go before its not warm enough for me not to want to bother! 2nd drawback, the beds in the apartment are so uncomfortable, likewise the sunloungers, which you have to carry down from the first floor apartment to the pool. I was in agony last time we went, 3 years ago, I don't think my poor back can take it again!
The friends who came yesterday live in separate apartment in Stratford on Avon, and offered us one of the apartments if we want to go. Well, I have always wanted to go there, so this trip may happen
