We used to have friends who lived in that village, Gem (and yes, I can pronounce it although it's usually known as Llanfair PG!). OH's satnav has trouble pronouncing even straightforward place names (even our village name is wrong) and we keep saying one day we'll program Llanfair PG in full into the satnav and see what happens.

                    Daisy that would be funny!

It's very amusing to hear some of the satnav attempts at place names.

The York street Goodramgate ( pronounced Good -Rum- Gate) is Good- Ram-Gt according to the satnav .

I wonder how that little baby fared. I hope he or she was ok.

In the days of one channel, black and white tv, that was required viewing!

I remember the studio audiences used to join in with shouting "open the box" or "take the money"!!

                              BBC Television for schools began.

I remember schools TV from primary school. I still remember the shock of seeing footage of a human heart beating. I think I was a bit traumatised that something so ugly could be inside me!

Gem, you were lucky to have TV in your school. It must have been quite exciting - apart from the beating heart! I bet it looked quite spooky.
