Wow, two new babies, and dramatic birth for one

I don't want the knee replaced. Recovery is so long and hard, and there is too much going on all around me for me to need any care! If needs be I will ask for a steroid injection, but mostly it only niggles me, and I hope this flare up will settle down.

      Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I hope you feel better as the day wears on. I'm sure GD2 will love all the things organised for her stay in Yorkshire. It's good timing, arriving for the joint 18th birthday parties.

Nanto, yes it's noticeably darker in the mornings and evenings already. I hope your DS2 was able to join you in town for a cuppa. Is the rain forecast for you? It's good to know your GD is making good progress. It's very hard when you're a new Mum remembering that you've also had a major operation and need to look after yourself as well.

Gem, I hope the weather stays dry for Little E's birthday party. I'm sure your DD3 must be frustrated having to rest instead of getting ready for the party, but it's important for her to follow doctor's orders. I hope she will be able to join in a bit this afternoon though. I bet the teddies will enjoy their picnic party.

Don't do anything to make your poor knee more painful. I can fully understand you not wanting to have surgery on it with so much else happening in the family, but please take care of yourself.

Oma, how amazing that both babies were born on the same day, but in such different circumstances. Will they be able to play together when they're older, or do they live too far from each other?

The saga of our caravan fridge continues! We may end up getting a new one after all. We just want to get it sorted out but would be happy to have one that only works on mains or battery. We never use it on gas. OH is shampooing the sofa and fabric armchair in the living room. One of those jobs we've been putting off. I'm catching up on all sorts of washing in case the weather does break tomorrow. The washing line is full at the moment!

The babies are from different sides of the family so won't know each other sadly.

I have had all my bedding on the line and although it threatened to rain it hasn't and it's been quite blowy so they dried lovely .

Congratulations Oma, for the new babies.

DS2 couldn't meet up for a cuppa,he had other plans.

It was quite windy in town, i called it a rain wind,if you know what i mean.
Rain is forecast for our area, but not had any yet.

Gem, hope you all enjoy the teddy bears picnic.

Daisy, hope you get a caravan fridge sorted soon.

Nan2 it was really quite breezy here too.

We had such a lovely time. Little E had so much fun with his 3 little friends and all of us. They had a teddy bear treasure hunt around the garden, with bubble tubs for all for prizes, which went down well. A cute teddy cake made by DD3 to finish. DD's best friend A and her OH arrived from Bath. I didn't know they were coming so that was a lovely surprise. They are staying the night, which they will all enjoy.
We had an Indian takeaway delivered tonight

Gem, what a lovely party for Little E's birthday. What a wonderful surprise when DD's friend A and her OH arrived. An Indian takeaway is yum my, and no cooking for anybody.

Oma, what a pity the two babies won't know each other. It's been quite blowy here as well, but sunny with it. Everything dried very quickly.

Good morning, sun is shining. We didn't get any of the rain that was forecast.
It was quite cool yesterday evening.

                Gem, E's party sounds lovely.

Hubby going with his brother to a car boot sale, but this one doesn't start till 8.

A pile of ironing to keep me occupied.

                  Morning Nanto, Ladies.

                  Nanto
It rained during the night and is still quite damp but it's getting brighter,
I did my ironing yesterday so that's out of the way,

                  Gem
Pleased to hear little Es party went well ,
A nice suprise to see DDs friends,
                  Did you enjoy the Indians?

We off out for brunch with the family and D&J Then from there to MILs to take over her rice Krispies I forgot on Friday ,
                  She wasn't happy,
I said there was still enough till at least Wednesday but no she wants a new box now 🙄
And I forgot some biscuits that Finley likes, again they could have waited till we go Wednesday as Martin won't be taking him till Friday.

The magpies have been throwing moss and dirt out of the guttering again , I have just been out to clear as much as I can away.
                  They are a damn nuisance,

When Jo comes to do my doors in September his lad is going to clear the gutters and put mesh in to prevent all the leaves and moss , that will hopefully scupper the magpies games .

                    Good morning ladies.

Nan2, I'm glad you have the sun! It is depressingly gloomy here with drizzle forecast. This was yesterday's forecast though, so we are just glad it waited until after the birthday party.

Oma, we enjoyed the Indian but I woke just after midnight with terrible heartburn and had to get up for a while .
I hope you all enjoy brunch

We are having a lazy morning. Little E will be here mid afternoon to stay overnight.

                      Good Sunday afternoon everyone.

Nanto, I don't know why car boot sales generally start so early. Eight o'clock sounds much more civilised. Did you get the ironing finished?

Oma, enjoy your brunch out with the family. Fancy forgetting MIL's Rice Crispies and Finley's favourite biscuits. xx. We get a lot of moss thrown on to our patio, but it sweeps up easily enough when it's dry.

Gem, heartburn in the night is awful. Did you take anything for it? I bet Little E will still be excited about his birthday outing and party. I hope it didn't tire DD3 out too much.

It's quite cloudy and breezy here today. We even had a short shower, but I blinked and missed it! Still the washing is drying nicely. There's just a load of dog towels in the machine now.

Well MIL was her usual charming self ,
I took the rice Krispies in she said yuk I've gone off them now,
                        Unbelievable..
I then showed her the cream cakes I had bought for her and Pamela the carer ,
She pulled a face and made a throwing up motion .
I was really annoyed so I said fine I will leave Pamela's and take yours home ,

No no she says I want it ,
I said you just pulled a face and pretended to throw up , I'm not leaving it to be wasted ,
She said I didn't mean it , then why do it .?

We then went for more shopping for her and I asked if she wanted any sweets ,
                        No I have loads ,
Came back and she wanted to know what goodies I had brought back,
I said none you said you didn't want any,
Her reply was well you should know I didn't mean it 🙄

While we were there the carer went out for a little walk for some fresh air,
She got caught in the rain .
So when she came back she said I will nip up and get changed ,

She came back down and MIL said you look smart in that top you don't look as fat as you are 😱

Honest she just opens her gob and says whatever she likes .

It's one thing thinking it , it's another saying it and in front of people .

As you say Oma, MIL her usual sweetness.

DS1 called in today, and stayed for dinner.
He had spent 2½ hours at the hospital visiting an old army pal.

Daisy, i got the ironing done and did another load of washing.
Didn't get those ironed as nephew and his wife paid a visit.

The weather has been a day of sunshine and blustery wind, with a couple of showers late afternoon.
