Had a visit from two of my GS’s this afternoon, Sam you met in Birmingham, now living in /cheltenham and Ben his younger brother who drove him here. Lovely to see them. H is with her daddy today but will be back shortly.

Oma, pleased to hear that Mil likes her carer, makes it a bit easier for the family.

Nanto, new baby, lovely cuddles.

Daisy, we had a slow start to the weather today too, sun eventually came out. Ironing, what is that? I can’t even put the ironing board up now.

Daisy, did you do any or was it too hot?

Well we went to the swimming lakes and I swam! The sun came out at lunchtime and stayed out. I went into the Monet lake, beautiful with water lilies and willow trees. OH took photos so I will post a couple on the wild swimming thread. It was VERY cold in the water, but a lovely thing to do. We took our camping chairs and sat in the sun enjoying the peace and the sunshine afterwards.

Aqua for me this morning, golf for OH. It seems ages since we did any proper housework so I should do some this afternoon!

Nanto, I was wondering if your gorgeous new GGD will have a second name as well as her very pretty first one?

Oma, I didn't watch the football last night, but happened to go into the living room during half time. What on earth had that to do with the footie! But, as OH said, at least we're not listening to the experts spouting the obvious! I've never been a Madonna fan, but most singers' styles seem to change with age. Hers hasn't so I don't think I'll be joining her fan club yet. Well done to B for not moaning about a trip to Ikea. It's reminded me that we ran out of paper serviettes at the week-end.

Gem, yes, I did do some ironing. Not all of it, but the hardest things. I don't know where all the washing comes from with just 2 of us! Congratulations on braving the lake and wild swimming. I look forward to seeing your photos. Do you have one of those cosy changing robes for afterwards? They look perfect for warming up after a chilly swim. You've been rather busy, and sometimes housework has to take a back seat.

It was a bit cooler for our early morning walk today. I put a thin fleece on and even zipped it up. Eva definitely preferred the cooler weather and was more active. When we got home she wanted to play tug as well.

OH has taken his car to be serviced and is then going on to DS2's to collect Eva's cool coat which we left there on Friday! I'm going to get some more washing in. Lucky me.

Daisy, grandaughter thought about Rose for a middle name.
I know its nothing to do with me, but i thought Runa mae/may went better.
She said i never thought of that but she liked it.
