I phoned my DD last night she said the same as us , never been out of the shower but feel just as sticky after.

B has just put the final coat on before it gets too hot ,
SIL coming on Sunday to paper.

I have to pop to Iceland this morning then it's hospital visit to MIL again ,

I didn't sleep well I came down at 4 a combination of the heat and my back is hurting ,
I just couldn't get comfortable.
It's going to feel like a long day especially in this heat ,

Good morning, already very warm!! I have been to the hospital for the lung specialist, she said to keep taking the medicine etc, I have an appointment to have a lung function test then again with her, next year on the same date as today, when I saw the appointment I thought I had missed something, I didn't see the 2027!

Gem, you would enjoy being with your friends.

Oma, I hope that they get your MIL home and settled.

Nanto, enjoy your meal, we are supposed to be going for a meal with the group that I do coffee for on a Monday, it has been cancelled a few times as not everyone is available on the dates they chose.

DS2 had his operation on his collar bone yesterday, he can't use his arm now for 6 weeks. I hope it helps as shoulder pain is annoying!!!


Daisy, are you still away, it won't be easy in the heat with no fridge!!!!

I said to B we need to get away , he wants to start the stairs hall and landing ,
Normally I would be all for it but I'm sick of the upheaval at the moment , I needs break from it to get my enthusiasm back 😁

It's easy to miss the date then you panic thinking you have missed an appointment 😁

Fingers crossed the operation works for DS ,
I have had frozen shoulder for almost 18 months then I had Bursitis in the same shoulder and now arthritis .
It's surprising how much you use your shoulder and don't realise till you can't

We went to Aldi instead of Iceland , it was lovely and cool in there , I can't be bothered to go out again till it's time to visit mother.

Oma, I have had "worn" shoulders for years, I remember my physio telling me!!! I do as much as I can, keep the movement in them with the gym, which helps immensely!

I am with you Oma, I think you need a break from upheaval you have had to put up with and Mil visits. I suppose B will feel like it when he knows the jobs are done.

I have my usual appt at the surgery but my DS is taking me this time. I think his car might be a bit low for me, his wife has a sports car so no hope there. My DD of course always comes in with me and discusses how the wound is, I don’t think my son will want to.

Lizzie we once made the mistake of thinking OH had been given another appointment a week or two after her last. As she was on annual appointments then this struck alarm bells with us. Something must have been awfully wrong to want to see her again so soon. It was a phone appointment and we waited and waited. Eventually we realised it was the following year!!

Oma, I know what you mean about the same conversations. It was like that with my mum.
Decorating will wait, you need a break!

Plant I hope all goes smoothly at the surgery.

We had to have the library meeting outside this morning as the conservatory where we were due to meet was unbearably hot. We were in the shaded outdoor area with a bit of a breeze and it was actually quite pleasant.
VERY hot in my car collecting little E. We have spent some time in the garden in the shade and in the cool living room with fan on. He's just had a lovely cool bath before we go outside to have our tea in the shade.
