Where MIL lives is a big tree, twice a day it is full of Parakeets ,
The noise is deafening but beautiful birds.
Pleased to hear your knee is improving,
I would love to go to the Harry potter. Studio.

    Daisy
The bedding can wait till tomorrow,
You can get it on the line early ,
Did you get the ironing done?

MIL now has another water infection,
She's been on antibiotics since Sunday and this is the first we have heard of it.

The Dr came when we were there,
I mentioned that her ankles were very swollen and she said they were aware of it ,
I also said no one had informed us of the infection, she said we should have been told ,
Well we know that and she in new that but obviously the nurses didn't think so.

I took clean night clothes in and a cake but she isn't eating much ,
She is still very confused, but they seem adamant they are sending her home at some point .

We went to see my neighbour , she's ok tearful but ok ,
She is staying with one of her sons tonight,
She stayed with her grandson last night , and her DD is driving down from Glasgow tomorrow to be with her.

The funeral is on the 30th July at our local church.

Wow I bet he's noisy Lizzie!
DD3 and I went to the Harry Potter studios a few years ago and loved it.

Storms forecast here as well Nan2 but no sign so far.

Did you do any ironing Daisy?

Oma, older people do seem more confused in hospital, the longer they stay in. Your MIL definitely isn't up to going home and living alone though.

I have had a headache all day. Probably my own fault as I should have taken some painkillers this morning it started. I have now!

DD3 is pleased that have decided to let her have a short chemo break. She will have the next one in a month's time. 11 fortnightly treatments are taking their toll and they agreed a short break would be beneficial.

Gem, a bit of respite for DD, having a break from the chemo.

We haven't had a storm, but it started raining just before 7. I think its eased off a bit now.

Nanto, the forecast for storms seems to be quite scattered. I don't think anyone really knew where they might land.

Lizzie, what good news that your knee is so much better. You must be very pleased, and hopefully the stiffness will ease off as well. How nice of you to do GD1 her favourite meal. The parakeets can become quite a problem here, especially in some parts of London. They drive out some of the native species and as you say, are very noisy. That's the problem when some people feed them - they become too used to humans and become a nuisance. How lovely that DS1 and family all enjoyed the Harry Potter tour.

Oma, when the rain got heavier we decided to leave the washing until tomorrow, but - roll of drums please! - I got most of the ironing done, including all the fiddly items. No wonder MIL's confusion seems to be getting worse what with another UTI and, as Gem says, being in hospital for so long.

Gem, I'm sure DD3 will feel better having a break from chemo. It's good that they can do this and give her a bit of respite. Fortnightly treatments must be hard, but I think the general trend is to hit hard to start with. I hope. your headache has gone now. Was it the heavy weather that caused it?

Apart from ironing I don't seem to have done much today, but I did make both lunch and dinner as OH was busy with paperwork.

Good morning. Its a sunny start but i think rain is forecast.

No plans for me, I'll take the day as it comes.

On the patio we have a victorian style lamppost. It was never lit because it was too bright, even with the smallest bulbs we could get.
So, hubby is converting it to use some solar garden lights.
The lamppost looked nice when lit, but we spend a lot of time in the conservatory during the summer and you couldn't see the TV properly, because the lights were too bright.

              Morning Nanto, ladies.

              Nanto
I bet that light looks lovely with the solar lights,
              Less harsh .

It's cooler here but bright , I have given the downstairs a bit of a blitz ,
I have a tiny bit of ironing to do I will do that later ,
B has a kidney scan at 3.45 but apart from that the day is ours for a change .

                Good morning everyone.

                I love solar lights Nan2.

Oma I hope all goes smoothly for B's scan.

Aqua this morning, we are going to see my auntie G this afternoon.

                Time to dash!

Oma, hope all goes well for B's scan.

Not something i planned to do but, fridge freezer in the kitchen has been cleaned inside and out.
And, the same for the big freezer in the outhouse.
Took nearly three hours but they are done now.I did have a coffee break halfway through.
Hubby getting there with the lamp.

Hello everybody. I'm a bit late showing up today.

Nanto, the lamp post on your patio will look great with solar lights. What a lovely item to have in your garden. I'm sure your fridge freezer and your bit freezer were very clean and tidy before you started, but we always feel better when we've cleaned something like that. You certainly deserved that coffee break. Your lamp will soon be ready for the great switch on.

I need to do our chest freezer before Saturday. I've used up all the dog food so it's a good time to defrost and tidy it before next month's dog food arrives Saturday morning.

Oma, I hope B's scan went well, although I don't suppose he knows the results yet.

Gem, I was thinking about your Aunty G in the heatwave. Was she ok, or is there air con where she lives?

Eva has been for hydrotherapy this afternoon. It was very warm, although they had the doors open, and she was tired by the time it was finished. We put her back in the car wet to help her cool down. Washing has dried very quickly today, and luckily most of it doesn't need ironing.

Daisy, there is aircon and auntie said she was lovely and cool during the heatwave. She didn't venture outside at all when it was hot.

                      GD's prom tonight
