No storm or rain here and night not as warm and a bit cooler this morning. Just been called to go next door, H and her GM are growing crystals. H was very excited. The village hall was lovely and cool for our Games afternoon yesterday.

Well a wasted morning,
Boiler service man rang he was delayed on another job , so coming next Wednesday,
Can't be helped people need their boilers working.

It's sunny and warm here now, so I did a bit tidying in the garden , swept cobwebs off the gate etc,
We get lots of webs from the tree spiders.
B got the garden vac out and cleaned up the leaves in the alley way down the side of the house,
More rubbish to take to the tip sorted ,

I have gave up on one of my lilly pots , there is nothing coming through not even a leaf ,
The other pot are flourishing so I have no idea what has gone wrong .

I'm so pleased the Dr agrees it's arthritis and nothing sinister,
Not nice but a bit of weight off your mind ,
I hope they enjoy their few nights away , little E is happy to stay with you isn't he .

We are hoping they find a place in a care home , she wants to go in one now she is afraid to go home .

Muggy and warm here still. Just did some pot watering. GD2 came this morning with her little one, not so little now, he is all smiles. GD1 has gone swimming with H, they are on their way home now. Another very hot day for us, so I have stayed inside.It is cooler now.

Oma, it makes it easier if Mil is wanting to go to a nursing home, I hope it can be arranged soon for her.

Gemini, we could do with a thunderstorm it is very muggy here, I am fed up with being indoors with curtains closed to keep the heat out. The evenings are welcome, it is so much cooler and I can open my curtains.

I finally got my birthday meal out today. If you remember,the bathroom work was started on my birthday.
We went for a pub meal. Not wanting to sound snobbish,but we went to a bit more upmarket pub.
Had a lovely meal, followed by apple pie and custard.

i got the washing back out after the storm,dried lovely in the sun and breeze.

Hello everyone. I've caught up on reading your news but am being pestered to feed the furry one. It's been another very hot and heavy day here after a very noisy thunder storm during the night.

I forgot to post this earlier! It's been thundering b it so did all our usual things to keep Eva calm. We even had a shower of rain. But it's still hot, heavy and humid. I hope to catch up on sleep tonight. xx

The stormy morning turned into a nice day, and we ate our fish and chips outside at teatime.
DD and SIL3 are in a lovely airbnb by the sea and have been for a good walk and pub visit already

They had a video call with little E, where he showed them his new summer Toy Story pjs!

Golf for OH today. Little E and I are going to the preloved toy shop in the village this morning. I saw on the website there was a tunnel perfect for the train track little E has here. The lady has put it aside for us, so we will collect that today, and have a look round. Mostly I plan a garden based day with little E. He is having his Peppa Pig fix atm!

It's still overcast but stuffy, we need to go for Finley's birthday card today it's his party tomorrow ,

I was up very early so all my work is done and washing done ,

The kitchen fitter has put before and after pictures of our kitchen on their web site ,
I was shocked at the change , I will try to post a picture ,
Looking at it my old kitchen was so dark yet I never nnoticed.

I don't think i told you about our bottle of salad cream that erupted a few days ago.
When i got in touch with Heinz,she told me the bottle has fermented.

Nanto, Panda has definitely got employment cutting our lawn - just look at that purposeful expression on his face! I'm glad to hear you slept better and the weather is fresher. I'll post our "sleep saga" separately. Oh my goodness. The Mount Etna of Salad Creams.

Oma, I like to see before and after pictures. It's always interesting. Your old kitchen looked fine, and I can imagine J would have thought it was mad to change it. But what a transformation! Your new kitchen was worth all the time, effort and disruption - it's gorgeous.

Gem, did Little E have a good time at the toy shop? (Silly question!) Has S enjoyed the golf today? Hopefully it's not quite so hot. Does she use a buggy?

I've just finished cutting the lawn and trimming the edges. I had 3 or 4 goes at it - it's too much all in one go, even though it's cooler. We've got some huge weeds to get out - they're thriving. It's nice that there are places where the plants seem to be winning, though.
