Good morning. A bit late checking in today.
I didn't get to sleep till about 4am,so i didn't ge up till 7.
Its been a busy morning. Changed the bedding and cleaned the bedrooms.
Sun is shining and bedding is blowing in the breeze.

Oma, any news about your MIL?

Daisy, our friend is doing OK. She has started a similar treatment to my OH. I feel for her though as she is in a fair amount of pain and not too mobile despite her morphine and is waiting for some more radiotherapy to help with that. It was good to see her.
DD3 has an infusion for the chemo every other Tuesday. It takes a few hours so SIL drops her off and one of us collect her. She leaves there with a bottle with 2 other chemo drugs which go in via her PICC line over two days. Nurses come to the house to remove that.

She was good today , chatty and eating well , thanks for asking Gem,
They are having a meeting about her tomorrow, and Monday they are doing an assessment on her again.

Had GS for a few hours he had dropped Lucie at the hairdresser's,and was going to pick her up after.
She is 21 on Monday,

Nanto, if you don't sleep well a lie in is compulsory. I know you're usually an early bird, but an occasional late start might be good for you.

Gem, There seem to be so man y different kinds of chemo these days, but it's helpful that your DD3 can have some of the treatment at home. It's tiring and stressful going to the hospital all the time, plus the increased risk of infections. You must all be relieved that your friend is doing well, but I hope they can control the pain better, and she can have the radiotherapy sooner rather than later.

Oma, your MIL seems to have taken a turn for the better, thank goodness. I hope the assessment takes everything into account - living on her own, needing oxygen, problems with the steps outside etc. Is Lucie having a celebration for her 21st?

It was hard to get motivated to do anything this morning, but I did go round the house wiping marks off walls and cleaning some of the skirting boards. The weather improved after lunch so I cut the lawn and did some gardening. It was a nice afternoon. OH and I cooked dinner together, and I've just got back from walking Eva. She's gradually getting over her shock from the thunderstorm and walked ok today. She's got hydro tomorrow morning, and then we'll take her to DS2's at tea time, ready for my hospital appointment on Friday.

Sainsbury's delivery between 9 and 10. Just had a message saying they have got everything i ordered


We were hoping to get the garden done this morning, but it's looking very overcast. Had a little shower earlier.

Nan2 supermarket delivery day for me too. Tesco this afternoon. I havent had the email yet about substitutions and missing items. Often there is nothing so fingers crossed. Good to hear you slept better.

MIL did sound on better form then Oma.

Daisy do you have any caravan trips on the horizon?

Little E day and overnight. As I have my monthly massage this morning and it's closer to nursery than here I have said I will pick him up just before lunch rather than after.
OH has a chiropractor treatment. I think she should stop going now as any help seems to have been at the beginning and in fact she has been in more pain since last weeks treatment. We are hoping the pregablin precribed for nerve pain will kick in soon.

A dull wet day here.

Alate start now and then is no bad thing ,lack of sleep wears you down and seems to knock your routine doesn't it.

I'm pleased to hear Eva wasn't as nervous yesterday , did she go for a paddle in the stream?

GS is taking Lucie away for the night and she is having a party with her friends on Sunday,
GS is in. Scotland all weekend playing golf but will be back Sunday night.

I am popping to Aldi soon , if it stops raining we are going to Dalton park retail , there is a shop there that sells really nice mirrors,
I want to replace the one in my dinning room,
It's small squares and a pain to clean , each one has to be done separately,
I actually bought it in the same shop about 15 years ago .

Hope everyone else is ok and they have better weather than us .

Shopping arrived at ten past 9. I don't think I'll be doing another Sainsbury's shop until 3 weeks. Hubby says make it 3 months.

Good Thursday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, I could just do with a nice cuppa in the garden this afternoon, and it always tastes better from pretty china cups!. It's a bit of a lottery ordering groceries online, and at the moment Sainsburys seems to be out of stock of several items I buy regularly - like our favourite yoghurts.

Gem, yes, we're planning for a week away in the caravan in June. In fact we must get down to booking it this week-end. It will be fairly local - possibly Brighton. How was your massage? I bet Little E thought it was great having Grandma to pick him up from nursery and have lunch together. I hope the weather's picked up a bit for you. My DIL2 found after a while chiropractic treatment didn't help her neck any more. It's not cheap either. Finger crossed the Pregablin helps with the nerve pain.

Oma, I didn't take Eva to the stream yesterday as she was having hydro treatment today. She loves the treadmill there and can't wait to get in. The water comes up to her tummy, and of course it's warm. Did it stop raining so you could go to the retail park?

I hope the weather improves for everybody. It's glorious here, warm and sunny with just the slightest hint of a southerly breeze. The forecast is for it to get hotter over the week-end, so I suppose we'll all be moaning about the heat by then.

We're taking Eva over to DS2's soon and I'll go and pick her up on Saturday after OH's eye appointment. It seems sensible for her to stay an extra night when we've got to be at the hospital early tomorrow and Saturday. OH is going to his wood turning club tonight, and I'm going to do nothing!

I have managed to pick up a cold and am not feeling great. Had a sleep this afternoon and I am kidding myself I feel a bit better.

MIL wasn't to well today , she was very tired SIL2 went to visit but didn't stay long , said MIL just wanted to sleep.

We didn't go to Dalton park , I checked online what time the shop I wanted to go to opened and it said it was closed permanently,
Apparently they have gone into liquidation.

I have ordered one online it will be delivered in a few days,

We then went to Dunelm and they have a huge sale on ,
I bought some pans and baking trays , some pillowcases and a bottom sheet.

I want new curtains but I don't know what colour we are doing the sitting room yet so couldn't take a chance .
