Nanto, yes, thank you, today should be less busy.

Lizzie, I think "old style" services of all sorts are dying out. Our dentists is a local village one - just him, an associate dentist, hygienist and the usual nurse and reception/support staff. It's in a grand old house approached by a rather precarious gravel path on the Forest. But it's so friendly and welcoming, a lovely atmosphere. The dentist is quite young, so hopefully he's not planning to retire any time soon. It was a mistake to get rid of sheltered-type accommodation, and it must cause a lot of problems for families.

I hope your GD takes care in the sun now. It's not looking too promising weather-wise for the Ascension holiday, especially when it's so cold.

Gem, I do hope your Aunt will regain her confidence. I think you're right to take it gently and slowly with her. Have a lovely evening out with OH tonight. What kind of restaurant is it?

It's cold, windy and showery here. Not gardening weather, and I changed my mind about doing some washing.

I have a splitting headache from the blocked sinus, I have finished the antibiotics so phoned the surgery, they want to see me before they can prescribe anything else, with it being a holiday weekend the first opening is Friday afternoon!!!

Try some steam inhalation Lizzie. If you have anything like Olbas Oil to put in it the water that helps too.

Daisy it's a country pub restaurant. We haven't tried this one but it has been recommended to us.

Very sunny here with showers and big black clouds looming!

Well our morning didn't go to plan,
Carers phoned, they had to let themselves in as MIL was still in bed ,
They said she didn't look well.
So we went over and by then Bs sister was there,
MIL looked dreadful, so SIL rang the Drs again but they couldn't get there till late afternoon,
MIL was soaking she had wet right through her pads and nighty and the bed ,
Luckily there is waterproof covers on the mattress,

So I set too taking all her wet stuff off giving her a quick wash down and got clean stuff on her.
Managed to get her sitting in a chair and B stripped the bed and put clean bedding on.

We decided she needed a ambulance as her oxygen wouldn't stay up and her heart rate was high.
She was cold and said she was frightened,

Ambulance was there in 15 minutes , they were lovely and said she really needed to go into hospital just for a few days ,
She didn't fight them so we knew she wasn't well.

By the time they got her away and we sorted all the wet washing and stuff it was 12 .30,
B has an appointment with Dr at 2 so we had to get home .

To be honest we are relieved she has gone in , I wouldn't have liked to leave her like that .

Glad the ambulance wasn't too long in coming. She's in the best place in hospital.

We have had some heavy rain today,but also some sunny spells.

Oh poor MIL Oma, and poor you and B having to do all that I agree she is definitely in the right place for now.

It was lovely to see auntie G, who si very well. We fixed another date for after our holiday so we shall see if she she ss for a little trip out then.

Good news re DD3 and hospital appoinment which I will update very soon. OH needs the laptop now to pay a bill!

Lizzie, I'm sorry you've got to wait until Friday to see the doctor when you're in so much discomfort. I would have suggested what Gem said, and the only other thing I can think of is a humidifier in the hope moisture in the air will help. I hope you can get some sleep.

Oma, poor MIL. You did the right thing though getting her into hospital quickly, and it was lucky you and B were able to make her comfortable and sort out the laundry etc. I hope B's appointment with the doctor went ok. xxx

Gem, I hope the restaurant lived up to its recommendation and you and S both enjoyed it. Your Auntie is doing well, so fingers crossed she will fancy an easy trip out when you next visit. It's been a good day, especially with the news about DD3. xxx

It's been a wild, windy and wet day here with a bit of sunshine between the rain and hail, so we've had a relaxing day.

Nice and bright this morning. Just seen the weather forecast and he said one minute sunshine, next minute showers.

Bathroom flooring being done today, but we haven't got a time.

Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday but the phone never stopped then my neighbour came in for a parcel we had taken in for her ant it was 9.30 before she left , so it was a long day.

SIL rang MIL said she sounded ok and was waiting for her tea as she was hungry so the sickness must have passed ,
She is going in today and will let us know how she is.

You are having some trouble with those sinuses aren't you,
I was going to suggest a hot steamy bathroom let the shower run and breath in the steam .
Or a bowl of hot water and a towel over your head ,
Having said that I know when sinuses are like that bending forward hurts .
I hope your feeling better today.

We off to Aldi then we have lots of little jobs to do that have been put off while having to keep going to MILs ,

GS coming after lunch
Apart from that we don't intend going anywhere.

Daisy, you were due a relaxing day!

Oma, the meal was good, we would go back there. It's a village pub a few miles away. It was apparently closed for 3 years until the present owners took it over last October. Very successful now by the look of things.

Reflexology for me this morning, then the usual little E day and overnight. He will be back again on Saturday until Sunday, so will get a good fix of Grandma's house
OH is at the chiropractor at the moment, hopefully she can tail off the appointments now as things are much improved.
I must get the towels out to dry, before the rain sets in

I am feeling a bit better this morning thanks Gem, until I get on the move, then the headache and fever appear!

I ought to get some sewing done, will see if I feel like it!
