    I said the same , it's the upheaval isn't it ,

    Gem
How was S after her chiropractor appointment, did she feel any better?
I hope your blood test was straightforward,

    Daisy
Did DS have a nice birthday?
Did you get much done in the garden today,
It's been very bright but cold in the breeze here..

    Plant
How frustrating realising you need compost after you got home from buying plants,
I hope H enjoys the Rainbows.

MIL decided she wasn't upto shopping, so we just went for it ourselves,
We know everything she gets anyway
To be honest it's quicker and less stressful without her,

Mind she was her usual self,
I walked in and she said what did you get that colour for it's horrible,
    (It's Brown)
B said compliment her why don't you mother 🙄😁

After I came out of the hairdresser's we popped home. To pick her food up,
Got to hers and realised I didn't have my phone ,
When we got home I searched high and low and couldn't find it ,
Only thing I could think of was I left in the hairdresser's,
Went round and sure enough it was there,

Angela my hairdresser said I would have rang B but his number is in my book at home ,
If I hadn't gone back for it she was going to drop it off after work.

Nanto, I'm sure the hedgehogs are grateful for the cat food. You're one day closer to having your bathroom finished, although I can understand you looking forward to having your home to yourselves again as well.

Plant, how annoying that you had plants but no compost, but it's easily done. We've had the same weather - sun but a cold east wind gusting really hard. You must be enjoying having such a lovely relationship with H. Did she enjoy her first time at Rainbows? My GD1 started helping at Rainbows as part of her Duke of Edinburgh award about 2 years ago and loved it so much she still helps every week. She loves dreaming up ideas for activities and crafts and then working with the girls.

Gem, I bet Little E enjoyed his play time with the little girls next door. Were they able to play outside? He is obviously a thinker to have worked out all the possible reasons why he might not come to. you for his sleepover on Thursdays. I hope your blood test and S's chiropractic treatment went ok.

Oma, it's quite scary when your phone disappears. I'm glad yours was safely at the hairdressers. It must have taken a lot of pressure off you and B when MIL said she didn't feel like shopping. I'm not wishing her to feel under the weather, but as you say, it's easier with just the two of you.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes to DS2. He had given himself a day off and spent the morning exterminating online aliens or something equally blood thirsty. We went over there after lunch so had time to relax and have a chat. GD2 had arrived home from school, so it was lovely to see her as well. DIL2 and GD1 got home just after 5, so DS opened his presents while we were there. Eva and Cooper had great fun tearing up the wrapping paper. They both love birthdays!

I didn't get much gardening done this morning. It was really windy and I didn't have much time.

My OH had a phone call from the Eye Department at the hospital today. The deep scan he had a couple of weeks ago shows he needs more injections. They wanted him to go in tomorrow for one, but he said he couldn't as he was taking me for my treatment. So he's got to go first thing on Saturday. So that's two trips to the hospital in two days. I'd also booked Eva in to the new vets for Tuesday, and OH has a blood test on Monday. Now I know why people retire - it's so they can fit in all the medical appointments that crop up.

        Good morning. Cloudy this morning.

Daisy sorry to hear OH needs more injections.
Going to be a busy time for you both with appointments.

Tiler coming this morning to finish off a couple of edges, and that's it then until Monday.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

          Good morning everyone.

Daisy, that is a pain with two appointments so close together, but hopefully the extra injection will improve your OH's eye.

At least you will get a weekend free of workmen once today's tiling is done Nan2.

When my mum stopped coming shopping with me and I did it and took it to her every week it certainly made life easier Oma, so I know what you mean.
OH is definitely a bit more mobile with the chiropractor treatments, and is off the oromorph now and is reducing the strength of the patches to come off those. She has another appointment next week. He says not to play golf again yet though.

Very misty morning here, hopefully a lovely day to come.
DD3 is being dropped over at some point to spend the day with us. I think she and little E will go with me on the school run for GS2.
We are all having fish and chips for tea

Good morning, it is still chilly here. I am very annoyed, not only me, the lift is out of order yet again!!! The people with the mobility scooters bang the lift doors, then they won't work again!!!!! Everyone has phoned, so they tell me, only it hasn't been repaired yet, could be next week with it being holiday weekend, the Kings birthday celebration on Monday.

Daisy, I hope all the appointments go well.

Gem, I hope that all the treatment helps S and that she can get back to golfing. You will enjoy having DD3 and E for the day.

Nanto, you will be pleased when the bathroom is finished and back to peace and quiet!

I have been very busy all week doing the balcony. I got the paint pots re-painted yesterday so all finished now.

I got new electric and gas meters fitted yesterday, the young man that replaced them told me that they are doing all the houses in both our village and the next one so they will have plenty of work!

              Morning ladies

              Nanto
The end is in sight ,
Are you pleased with the look of the tiles? I bet it looks dead posh 😁

              Gem
So pleased to hear S is feeling better,
She must be itching to get back on the green,
GS 2 will be so pleased if aunty and little E go to pick him up I bet,
How are you feeling now is Aqua and the massaging helping you ?

Just been to Aldi then B&Q
The round to the Drs as there has been a problem getting my meds for my tremors,
None in stock anywhere, but seems sorted for this month at least , I found a little independent chemist with them in ,
Just waiting for Drs to ring to go pick prescription up.

It's a lovely morning but still a bit nippy ,

We have someone coming this afternoon as we are amending our will .

We have booked 3 nights away in Scarborough from next Tuesday,
it's a cabin on the cliffs overlooking the sea,
Our friends Dorothy & James went last year and had a lovely time ,
So we thought we would try it .

              Lizzie
              Our posts crossed,
              Balcony looks lovely,
That lift is causing some problems
Maybe they should be having a word with the mobility scooter users to be more mindful and careful going into the lift.

Oma, have a lovely time in Scarborough, the accommodation sounds lovely. Hope you get some reliable weather.

Gemini, enjoy your day with DD, I hope she feels well enough to enjoy it.

Lizzie, your balcony looks quite large, it is looking good. Hope the lift is repaired soon.

Nanto, Nearing the end of the disruption, then sit back and enjoy it. Time for gardening now.

Daisy, appointments, appointments etc etc. for you and your OH. At least they are looking after you both.

                  Plant, the balcony is large!

I have seen a man busy with lift so I hope he can repair it. In other buildings the scooters are not allowed at all. The housing won't even know who has the scooters. I saw at the dispensary the other day that the mobility scooters are not allowed in. Where I do the coffee they are not allowed in, all to do with the fire safety, it is time they got here to have a look round!

                    Good Friday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, your new bathroom is taking shape. I bet you can't wait for it to be finished.

Gem, it's good progress that your OH is off the Oromorph and reducing the patches. The chiro treatment is doing its job. It must be frustrating for her not playing golf, but it will be worth it. I hope the sun is shining for your day with DD3 and Little E. Enjoy your fish and chips. A fish supper is always tasty and lets everyone off the hook for cooking. Do you get them delivered or go and collect?

Lizzie, that lift must be driving everyone mad. I can understand that people needing a mobility scooter want to use it, but they are equally inconvenienced when it breaks. More so, probably as they are probably less able to climb the stairs. I've no idea what the solution is but there must be one. Is it the doors themselves that get damaged or the lift mechanism? Your balcony looks lovely and your plants very green and healthy. Those tall pots look really nice.

Oma, it's so frustrating when the chemists haven't got the meds on your prescription. It's frustrating but the chemists must have to hold a huge range of meds these days. Well done on keeping an eye on your will. It's all too easy to make a will and think "that's it, done". My cousin had made a will about 20 years before he passed away, leaving everything to his sister who had passed away not long after he made it!

I'm pleased to hear you're going away for a few days. You need a break and that sounds an idyllic place. Lots of fresh air and sea breezes and nothing to do except relax as much as you want to. Did you feel less exhausted yesterday doing MIL's shopping for her? I hope she was pleased with what you got.

Plant, Is it still windy your way? We've got glorious sunshine but a chill breeze. Have you got compost for your new plants yet? How did H get on at Rainbows? (Sorry if. you've said and I missed it.)

Hospital today was manic. They are so short staffed and there seemed to be no staff nurses on the ward, except one they had "borrowed" from another ward. I went to collect the meds from the Pharmacy and they didn't have them. A re-run of last month, and we had to wait nearly an hour, but again, everyone is so kind and very apologetic. I hope tomorrow's visit to the Eye Department is calmer because OH is always nervous.

We're having a lazy afternoon, and Sainsburys is due this evening.

Daisy, the lift is repaired, I was talking to the men and it should have been done yesterday evening!!

The plants do look well on the balcony,, until the heat arrives! What a shame about the hospital, takes much longer than you expect.

I have just done a good deed!!! I went down when I knew the lift was working, in fact it was the second time thinking about it as I went to get the post for the elderly lady first. There was an open box in a corner, the corner we used to put newspapers etc in before the container arrived. It caught my eye, me being me had to have a look in the box, it had been slit open and for some strange reason the address had been removed, it was full of medicines etc for diabetics!! There was no name at all on the packing receipt, so, I phoned the firm that supplied them, I did have an order number and from that they got an address which happened to be in the next flat, they said I could return them but it was easier me delivering them. I have been and taken them, the young man found it very strange as well, I told him he had to get in touch with the firm and confirm that the order was complete, he said he would and thanked me for being so kind as to find out where they belonged.

Gem to come back to your scan, GGD 1 has had to go through a scan, she is almost 5 years old and has bad migraines, her mother was involved in an accident when she was a baby and she was frightened that it had damaged her brain, luckily it was all clear and they hope that she will soon outgrow the migraine, to be honest I didn't know a young child could suffer from them. She was no bother going through the scan, she found it interesting!

This will just be a brief catch up, GD1 and family are on their way.

                        Lizzie,patio looks lovely.

Bathroom work has stoped now until monday.
Hubby says there won't be any more dirt now, well i've heard that before.
Anyway bedrooms have been cleaned and wherever was dusty.

Weather is beautiful here 23 degrees.
Just had a cuppa and nibble while sat in the garden.

                          SO fed up.
                          I have lost my phone.
I fear it may have been on the top of my car when we set off on the school run. No sign of it now. I have cancelled my debit card, which was in it along with my Gym membership card and library card.
My debit card hadn't been used. I have no idea where it is, but it is a total pain.

I can be contacted here of course or by email and have Whats App on the laptop as well as phone. Ordinary text messages wont reach me however.
Our tickets for GDs dance show on Sunday are on there

Yes it's so much less stressful when MIL doesn't go,
One thing we hated was having to wait in the pharmacy,
After treatment you just want to go home don't you.
Fingers crossed J is in and out quickly tomorrow,
Poor man having to start all that again.

                            Lizzie
My DD used to get migraines when she was small she was about 5 when they started, but they manifested as stomach ache,
We had no idea that was a thing ,
She would get the flashing lights and say she could see rainbows then the stomach ache would start.

We laughed when the hospital Dr told us we thought he was kidding .

Just as well you found the medication,
Do you think the package had been stolen then dumped?.

Next door kicked off again tonight we had to ring the police,
My SIL came to do a small job and when he went to leave she jumped in front of his van and wouldn't let him pass,
Then she jumped Infront of a neighbour car and was almost hit,

She told the police she was on the phone to Jesus to get everyone eliminated,🙄
They stayed about a hour and she seemed to have calmed down for now,
                            See what the night brings.

Gem, you don't need this extra stress and worry. It's bad enough losing your phone or a card, let alone both of them. I hope someone local/honest has picked it up and handed it in. People on our local WhatsApp groups have posted about found cards and phones several times and the owner found that way. I'm sure your GD's dance teacher will be able to verify that you've got tickets. I do hope you can get your phone and your cards back quickly. Has anyone in the family got an old phone you could borrow and put a sim card in until yours is sorted out?

Oma, your neighbour seems to have been ok for a while. How awful that she's obviously not well again and causing such mayhem. I hope you have a peaceful night. Hopefully OH won't have to wait too long at the hospital tomorrow morning. I know he's dreading it though. Having to wait for meds seems to be a universal problem, but I just see it as part and parcel of the whole process - as long as everything is there. It annoys OH though. He gets fidgety.

Lizzie, I'm glad your lift is working again. How odd that the delivery address was missing from those meds. It was very kind of you to go to so much trouble to find the owner, who must have been getting worried about them. Your poor little GGD getting migraines so young. My 12 year old GD gets them, and they started with tummy aches and being sick, but her Mum and her Mum's parents all suffer from them. I get silent migraines, which never last long. They've found that GD's trigger is chocolate. This is devastating for her, as she loves it, but she has medication which helps, and she does avoid chocolate most of the time.

Nanto, enjoy your week-end free of workmen, dust and noise and relax. Not much more to do now. Did you show GD1 the progress so far?

Neither of us wanted much to eat tonight so I made omelettes and salad. We'd just finished when the Sainsbury's order arrived.
