Good morning everyone.
Thank you Nan2 I'm sure I will.
How are you this morning Oma?
I'm glad we got washing out on the line yesterday, pouring down today.
An easier day. Little E will be collected at some point this morning. I cancelled my aqua class. No school run as GS2 broke up for Easter yesterday. DD will drop him off this afternoon and he will stay for tea.
Have a good day ladies.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Morning ladies
Gem
I'm ok tired and. Still out of breath but I'm just getting on with it,
Nothing I can. Do about it myself so just plod onπ
Did you sleep ok after your stressful day,
B said isn't it typical everything happens at once,
He hopes you and S are ok,
How did she cope with her hip when you were away?
When is DDs next treatment?
Nanto
A nice quiet day for you I hope ,
I always find if B is out, I can get on with little jobs quicker, is that what you will do?
Daisy
I hope it's a quick visit to the hospital today,
Don't you get sick of that journey though,
It got to the stage with us that we were convinced the car knew it's way automatically π
I want to pop to Lidl this morning I don't need anything but I just want to browse ,
It's raining hard here,
GS coming today , he drove home from Uni last night ,
Phoned in a panic after DD told him about me,
He said he wanted to hear my voice to make sure I was ok,
I reassured him I was fine and not to panic,
He. Said don't be poorly as it scares me π
Aww he is a good boyπIm not fat just 6ft too small

Aww Oma, he is lovely and of course he worries about you.
We used the mobility scooter a bit when we were away and that helped OH's hip a bit . She has requested a GP phone appointment as these patches do nothing unless she tops up with ibuprofen and paracetamol, which isn't the idea!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Hello, everyone. I'm sorry I still haven't caught up with you all on Chat. I knew this week would be busy, but it's turned out more tiring than I expected.
The hospital trip wasn't great today. We had to leave extra early to get there because of a lane closure and diversions on the worst bottleneck of our journey. Naively we thought we'd be in and out quickly. How wrong we were! Nearly three hours for a 15 minute treatment, all the while being deafened by a very talkative youngish man who didn't have a volume control. The lovely tea lady wasn't in today, so no hot drinks or snacks, and I even had to ask for water.
I felt so disoriented when I left the day ward that I couldn't find the waiting room where OH was. Then I got the giggles when the member of staff I asked reminded me of someone and when she spoke I realised it was Julie Waters as Mrs Overall in Acorn Antiques. She was very kind and didn't seem to think I'd lost the plot!
My prescription and therefore my meds had disappeared down a black hole. The lady in the pharmacy was brilliant but the prescription had to be somewhere since I'd already been treated with two products. We got a coffee while we waited, and were planning which cafe to go to for lunch when the lady reappeared with the bag of goodies. She thought the originals had probably got sent to the wrong ward. Hey ho. We were going to call at home to collect OH's car as DS2 had kindly offered to valet my very dirty car, but we were so late, and it started to rain, so we had a quick cup of tea with DS2 when we picked Eva up and came straight home.
We finally got "lunch/afternoon tea" about 3 o'clock.

Oh Daisy
What carry on , it happens so often we found ,
At least you got a giggle at Mrs overall π€£ Two soups π€£π€£
You need to have a early night and a quiet weekend.
Gem
Would you consider getting a mobility scooter?
I'm sorry to hear the patches are not working for S maybe she needs stronger ones.
Storm is home,
Not as groggy as he was last time but DD said he is snoring very loudly,
They had to turn the TV. Up ,
Said x-rays on his other leg showed he has healed very nicely,
He now has two bionic knees D said .Im not fat just 6ft too small

Thank you everyone for recommending feet up and a restful weekend. We have to be up early again tomorrow because someone is coming to service the caravan and we've got to move out the stuff we store in there, like the awning and its table and chairs, water tanks and containers, the dehumidifier which we run all the time to keep it dry, and various other bits. I hope it's not raining.
Oma, I'm pleased to hear Storm is ok after his second op. The sleep will do him good, even if he keeps DD and SIL awake!
My early night isn't so early because we had a Sainsbury's delivery at 8.30, and I've just finished doing the dog food order for next month.

Good morning everyone
Good to see us back and updated
Good to hear Storm is OK Oma.
If I couldn't drive I would probably consider a mobility scooter. The amount of walking I do with driving too is OK. OH may need to consider a buggy to get her around the golf course at some point. We think we will hire one to share if we go to somewhere large like Yorkshire Wildlife park though!
Daisy fingers crossed its not raining for you and that you will both get a rest at some point.
A windy morning here, towels are blowing on the line
No plans today but we are invited for friends for dinner tonight, which we are looking forward toββA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Good morning, I see that the site is up and running again!
Daisy, I hope that you have managed to rest and have had a good nights sleep.
It is still very cold in the wind, lovely on the balcony though.ok
I have just done something I have been going to do for years!! I have good panniers on my shopping bike, a good size, I have made shopping bags so when they are full they just slide in the pannier. The only problem was the base was all over the place, I asked my joiner neighbour if he had any wood I could fit but he didn't have any, all that time I have been going to go to our local DIY shop, the owner is very good to me, too good his staff say!!! Within a few minutes he got the wood sawn for me to fit, even rounded the edges for me
. I have just fitted them in, if they work I will cover them with fablon?
Gem, do they have pain clinics in the UK for S?
Oma, pleased that Storm is OK after the operation and that he soon recovers.
Nanto, I have just taken a photo of my shower room, fitted 27 years ago this month, the floor is original from 1968, they wanted to tile over it when we have the renovation 20 years ago, I managed to save it.

Lizzie we do have pain clinics here yes. Who knows how long the waiting lists are though?! The thing is OH's pain is manageable with ibuprofen but she's not supposed to use that long term. They need to prescribe something similar but safer. She has a Drs appointment on Monday.
I'm glad you managed to save the tiles!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown
