Poor OH is feeling very sorry for himself. He's dozed on and off all day, and went back to bed when I got back from walking Eva. I've managed to get a few odd jobs done and made soup for dinner as OH wasn't very hungry.

I must try and do some cooking for the freezer tomorrow, and make some mincepies. It doesn't feel like Christmas without them, and I can't even start on the decorations as I can't get them out of the loft.

Oh poor OH Daisy, these poorly husbands this week!

It's over a week until Christmas, don't worry about the decorations, I'm sure they will get done xxx
I haven't finished putting ours up, and no mince pies made yet and nothing wrapped!

I had a nice lunch and catch up with my friend. We only meet up twice a year, so plenty to chat about.

A customer kindly brought a tub of Cadbury's Heroes in to the library this morning, so we had a couple with our coffee.

When I got got home this afternoon my car was here ( a friend drove OH to pick it up) and the outside Christmas lights were up 😊

Good morning. After we got home from town yesterday, it turned into another busy day with visitors.
Two of hubby's brothers visited in the afternoon.
At 6 o'clock last night the doorbell went and it was hubby's sister and her husband. They stayed until 7.45.

Daisy, hope J feels better soon.
I only bought gammon and braising steak from the butchers.
Bought a few bits in Iceland.
Then I got some scented candles from Poundstretcher.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

            Good morning everyone.

A middle of the night post from you Oma!

Aqua for me this morning, then instead of the cafe there we are going to nearby Hotel Chocolate for coffee or hot chocolate. It opened earlier this year and we said we would go before Christmas on a day all four of us were there. Today is the day!
Massage for me this afternoon then some present wrapping.
We are eating out with our friends tonight. A Christmas meal but not a traditional one and it' s our local Chinese restaurant.

I hope the poorly ones are improving.

                Morning ladies

                Nanto
You can never predict who is going to turn up can you 😁
Hopefully you have a peaceful day today.

                Gem
Enjoy your meal out and lunch ,
I would opt for a hot chocolate ,
Remember that hot chocolate we had in their shop in Leeds , it was lovely

B is feeling a bit better today , he had a good sleep , well for him it was a good sleep as he doesn't usually sleep more than a few hours.

I had a unsettled night , restless legs and aching knees,
I will have a nana nap after lunch,

I soaked some fruit last night , my hairdresser wants another Barra brith so I will get that done today and take it in the morning when I get my hair cut.

                  Good Wednesday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, what a busy day you had yesterday, but nice to see family and it's good that you all live close enough to drop in like that. I like today's cheery graphic.

Gem, how was your hot chocolate/coffee? I would have found it hard to choose. And a massage. I know it's not a gentle, relaxing event, but I'm sure you feel much better for it. Then a meal out tonight as well. sounds like the perfect way to round off your day. You will do well if you fit in some present wrapping with such a busy day.

Oma, I'm glad to hear B is feeling a bit better. Did you get your nana nap? I hope both you and B sleep well tonight.

My OH isn't quite as bad as yesterday, but he's far from well. He wanted to do several errands this morning, so I said I'd drive him round. I worked out that the most time efficient way was to go to the next village and do everything there. It's only 3 or 4 miles and you can park on the road so he wouldn't have to walk any distance. The best laid plans though ... that village post office doesn't open on a Wednesday! So we went on to the next village where we always try to fill our cars up, and J did the filling up while I went to the post office. We were lucky - they closed the forecourt immediately behind us - I think the tanker was due.

I'm still trying to get some clear time to do some baking and cooking though. Taking Eva out while it's still light makes it a very short day.

Daisy, I had a delicious hot chocolate with coconut milk , one friend had hazelnut hot chocolate and the others had a tea and a coffee.
No more aqua for me until Christmas Eve. No class on Monday due to pool maintenance, and I cancelled Friday's as I haven't really got time to go.

The massage was quite painful in parts, but that's because I needed it!

I'm glad there is some improvement for B and Mr Daisy.

Daisy, so sorry to hear J is feeling poorly, I hope he is able to keep indoors and warm.

Oma, I hope you both get a good night. I am having to take Sol. Aspirin when I go to bed atm as I keep getting cramp in my thigh and painful shoulders.

Gemini, I am having a painful LH shoulder, mainly in bed. I suppose some massage might help me. Both shoulders could do with it. I will have a word with my Physio GS when he comes at Christmas.

Nanto, I imagine your doorbell gets used a lot, sounds as if visitors are always made welcome.

At least you got your jobs done ,
Good timing filling the car up wasn't it.

I like the sound of the hazelnut chocolate .
I hope the massage helps even though it was a little painful.

It's not easy getting comfortable in bed when your shoulder hurts,
I find I have to get my arm and shoulder in just the right position and hope for the best.Asking GS for advice and a massage is a good idea.

I managed a half hour nap after lunch , I waited till the Barra brith was made and cooling on the rack.

Hadn't been awake long when we had a lovely surprise, our nephew on Bs side came ,
Haven't seen him for a while so was lovely ,
He stayed about 2 hours ,

                          Good morning everyone.

                          Busy day Nan2

How is your OH Daisy? Did you get any mince pies made? That's my task tomorrow morning.

Plant, good idea to ask your GS about the shoulder.

I bet your nephew's visit cheered you both up Oma

                          Little E day today .
I'm going to decorate the little dining room tree and let him help me. We may pop out to the shops for a couple of things. Little E is a 3 year old who really loves shopping!
We had a lovely evening. It rained so much when we were in the restaurant however that the path outside was all flooded when we came out!

GD1 and family are coming and so is the hairdresser.

Oma, how lovely to get a surprise visit from nephew.

Good morning, the UK pays a lot less import duty than we do, I think DS2 said it was 35% here! He needed something for his van, friends of his lived in Washington, she works at the Australian embassy, they have decided after moving round for years, plus the fact that their parents are getting older, to move back to Europe, I think he said they fancied Brussel, anyway, losing my story, he had the spare parts delivered to their house and they were shipped here as part of their property!

I am going out to lunch soon with the people from the office where I help, then I see the lady in charge is retiring and their is a reception on Jan 13th, I will enclose a photo, she has been for 26 years, 13 years ago she was thrown off a horse and broke her neck! She has one massive scar on the back of her neck, then when she recovered she had cancer of the breast so hasn't had it easy going! I like her and get on well with her.
