      Good morning everyone.

Will this rain ever end Nan2??!!

Poor MIL Oma, that would get anyone down.

It does sound as though your OH needs new hearing aids Daisy!

A social day for me. Aqua then coffee, then OH and I are meeting two local friends this afternoon. We havent met up for years and finally fixed this afternoon to meet. Then we found out that the Omas will be in York for a short stay, so we are meeting them for tea

        Advent calendar is now open.
Don't worry if you are not an early poster, there are plenty of dates to choose from and as the month goes on we tend to leave it until later in the day to give everyone a chance

Had an early dental appt. Came home and promptly fell asleep. GGS1 is next door, haven’t even been in to see him yet.

Oma your poor MIL, the ward she is in sounds very depressing, she would be much better in a nursing home. If she goes back home she will probably end up in there again. How lovely you are meeting up with Gemini and S. Give them a hug from me.

Daisy, I have NH aids and get on fine with them although I have just been back to have them retubed.

              Hello everybody.

Nanto, that graphic could have been the view from our windows today - pouring down. I hope your DIL has a lovely birthday, despite the weather.

Oma and Gem, I hope you have a lovely time this evening.

Gem, what a busy but lovely day for you. Enjoy yourself.

Oma, any more news about MIL today? I hope you have a great couple of days in York, and hopefully the storm will have died down a bit.

Plant, you probably needed the rest after an early visit to the dentists. I hope it was just a painless check-up. I hope you were able to see GGS. OH got new tubes in his hearing aids and they seem to be ok now. I had asked him about them, but he was convinced it was the connection to his phone that was the problem! Anyway, I'm very glad they're now working and I can stop shouting at him.

Clover, looking at the weather map today made me wonder how bad it's been for you. I hope you're ok and have escaped the worst of the storm.

I had an earlyish appointment for a blood test this morning. I got up early and took Eva for a walk first. She never says "no", but she wouldn't go out in the garden in the rain. It took us ages to get to the hospital - traffic lights everywhere, even one of those huge car transporters unloading at a local garage and causing traffic chaos. Anyway, we made it just in time. Then we parked in town and went to Specsavers, who kindly fixed OH's hearing aids. We suddenly remembered we'd forgotten to display our parking clock so went back to the car hoping we hadn't got a ticket! We were going to go shopping, but by then the wind was howling up the high street bringing great gusts of rain, so we went home. We were both exhausted, so we've had a very lazy day.

I need to get my last present, which is some Black Magic chocolates for hubby.

                        Good morning ladies.

Nan2, it's nice feeling when you have all the presents bought! I am almost there but not quite.

Daisy, you deserved a lazy day after that busy start.

It was lovely, as ever catching up with the Oma's! Nasty wet weather when we met up, but today is forecast dry. I'm pleased for them, and my OH who will be on the golf course

Library morning for me. I was to have lunch with my two school friends, the two Cs. Unfortunately C1 came down with a bug yesterday so doesn't want to pass anything on, plus may not feel up to it. We have rescheduled our meet up.
So I now have a free afternoon. There is ironing to put away, and I will write my Christmas cards.

                            Good afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, those chocolates look very tempting, but I'm sure your hubby's favourites must be Black Magic.

Gem and Oma, good to hear you had a good get together yesterday.

Oma, enjoy your day today. I hope it has stayed dry.

Gem, what a pity C1 isn't well, but better to postpone than risk passing something on to you and the other C. It gives you a chance to write your Christmas cards, too.

I got a few odd jobs done this morning and made soup for lunch - parsnip and apple. It sounds an unlikely combination but very easy and quite tasty. I'm just waiting for the Consultant to phone. The call was scheduled for 1.30, but it could be 5 or 6 o'clock if they're running late. Eva and I could be having a midnight walk at this rate!

                            I'll pop back later.

Daisy, thanks for thinking about me in the awful weather here . I don’t think it was much worse than for a lot of other areas but dark all day. I did venture out to Pilates as I didn’t want to miss a class. I was really lucky it wasn’t actually raining when I walked to the hall, just blowing a gale. Needless to say it was throwing it down on the way back but I didn’t mind as I could change and have a coffee when I got home.

                                Afternoon everyone
We have had a lovely day,
We went to the Christmas market, bought a few things , listened to a very talented young man singing Christmas songs ,
Then went to Betty's tea room .
We got a Uber there and back B couldn't have walked any further.

Just had a soak in a lovely hot bath,
We are just staying in the hotel for our evening meal , I think we have used up all our energy now 😁
