Good morning, WG, wat a dreadful thing to happen, your poor friend!

It is dull and very damp here at the moment.

I got the results of the lung Xray, my lungs etc are fine, they did state that my shoulders are worn from the arthritis , that I have known for years! Only the doctors assistant phoned to say they found a disorder in my bloods, she told me not to panic, if it was serious the doctor would have phoned me as soon as they got the results, I have no idea what it is but the doctor is phoning late afternoon.

    Gem, the new shingles vaccine...

The new shingles vaccine was introduced to the UK's routine vaccination program on September 1, 2023. It replaced the previous Zostavax vaccine for newly eligible individuals, offering two doses to those aged 65 and 70, and to severely immunocompromised individuals aged 50 and over.

I do think it is 2 here, but, not available on the insurance as yet, I could have it as the specialist I saw in May stated that it was necessary.

      Morning ladies

      Gem
How lovely little E is up to visiting you ,
Children bounce back don't they not like us oldies 😁
Is he staying to see GS2?

      Nanto
It's so tempting to keep filling the freezer isn't it,
but there comes a point you just don't have room.😁

Bs shingle jab was in two parts and that's about 6 years ago now,
He had his first one then 6 weeks later the second one.

      WG
      Your poor friend,
So pleased you could comfort her at such a traumatic time , poor lady.
I bet the dog was enjoying the company and play time πŸ˜ƒ

      Daisy
Did you have a relaxing evening?
I hope you had a good sleep ,
Don't do too much today you really need to pace yourself till your feeling up to it,

I was up vert early this morning,
I woke with cramp in the side of my calf and it wouldn't go away,
So I have blitzed downstairs, washed all the doors and paintworks and the kitchen cupboard doors,
B kindly did the wall cupboard doors save me climbing on the ladders,

I have dusted and polished as well
We don't have the dog today I have him tomorrow instead as DD is away with her friends for the weekend and SIL is working.

Of to the shopping mall now , I need to go to Sainsbury's and B&M plus a few other places.

          Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, freezer space is never enough, is it! But a lovely feeling to know you've got lots of meals ready to go any time. That cake looks lush!

Gem, it's incredible that there can be more than ten degrees difference from one day to the next. I've just had to draw a curtain in my study as the sun's so bright, but it's not quite as warm as yesterday.

How lovely that little E is having an outing today. He'll be so excited to see you and OH, and it will be good for DD3 to get out as well. It makes things feel a bit more normal.

Ooops, I pressed Send before I'd finished.

Lizzie, it's good news that your lungs are fine, but I'm sure you can't wait for the doctor to phone and explain your blood test results. The fact that the assistant says not to worry is reassuring. I'm sure they wouldn't say that if it was a serious problem. I'll still keep my fingers crossed that it really is a very minor thing.

Oma, you're right, I do need to pace myself, but I find it hard. What a lot of work you did this morning. I'm tired just reading about it. I hope you're relaxing this afternoon.

Poor Plant, she's having a lot of trouble with her iPad. It must be very frustrating for her.

I seem to have got to lunch time without doing very much. Sainsbury's came and I've tidied the fridge and put everything away. I might clean the living room this afternoon. It certainly needs it! I'm still working my way round the house cleaning windows. The first ones done will need doing again at this rate. .

I am here today.couldn’t get on earlier. GS3 will be calling in tomorrow, I will not mention the problems I have had to him, he would probably change things again. Sunny here, hope it lasts although I am not planning to go out, had a busy week so did a few chores and will sort of rest this afternoon.

WG, you were just there when your friend needed help and someone to talk to. What a dreadful thing to happen to her OH.

Daisy, I haven’t got around to have lunch yet, I have had a delivery and needed to sort the fridge out. I find when it gets to lunch time, anything left to do can wait.

Gemini, I expect your family are pleased that the eye op is over.

Oma, your mil doesn’t seem to go off her food. I wonder if she will be okay to go home eventually.

Plant, is there a chance that your iPad's memory is full? Just a thought, and I'm sure your GS3 wouldn't change any of your settings. Did you relax this afternoon?

Lizzie, I hope your phone call with the doctor this afternoon has put your mind at rest about your blood test results. xxx

I haven't got much done today. Not off my vague To Do list, anyway. OH was having problems using a particular website and I spent ages trying to sort it out. It took a long conversation with someone from the website to sort it out, but we got there in the end. By then it was dark, so Eva just had a walk round the block.

We're going to one of our nieces' for lunch tomorrow. Her sister and family will be there as well, so it will make a nice pre-Christmas get together. We're looking forward to seeing them all.

                        Good morning everyone.

Keep dry Nan2! Our Christmas markets used to begin this weekend but get earlier and earlier.

Daisy, I hope you have a lovely day.

Storm we be getting spoilt today Oma

Lizzie, I know it's easy to say, but try not to worry xx

Little E was happy and cheerful yesterday, and as usual didn't want to go home He didn't see GS2 because by the time we got in (around 4,20) DD would hit heavier traffic going home. They stayed here with OH for a while after I left for school pick up.

Another busy day in the Gemini household today.

I shall be at the library for the joint Christmas fair for library and community centre. As a Friends group we help out, plus have our annual chocolate tombola which is madly popular!
I will go in for 10 and stay until around 2. I have arranged a helper rota so there are plenty of people to cover the opening times of 10.30 until 3.30.

I had originally planned to stay the whole day but when OH's CT scan date came in it is today at 4.15. Not our local hospital but a 45 minute drive away (but much better free parking and a smaller building so we don't mind) I want to go with her. I drove her back last time as it was very painful and her arm and shoulders went into total cramp during the procedure. We are hoping this won't happen today. It wasn't meant to and was something to do with the dye being wrongly inserted. her arm was black for days. Anyway, we shall see.

A much nicer appointment after that. We are going to another Murder Mystery dinner, the same place we went to in summer, but Christmas themed. This time seven of us are going. It would be eight but one friend already had something booked for tonight.
The food and entertainment were good last time, so we are looking forward to it.

Good morning, Daisy, the doctor phoned and said it is certainly nothing to worry about, she had compared the results from the last few tests, hardly any difference. The said the lungs were clear etc but they had seen artrose in my shoulders, I told her I have known that for years, she asked if I had a lot of pain, I told her I did have until I started doing all the exercises at the gym, I hardly have any pain at all, I can't move them like a young person, but, I can do what I want to do. She asked how the breathing was, apparently a virus affecting many patients, the doctor that drained my knee told me that as well. If it doesn't feel any clearer next week I have to phone. I must say that they are all very good at the surgery, 5 young female doctors.

GD1 phoned me yesterday, with face time she showed me her new bed etc. Very nice, I told her when I can climb the stairs I will be able to see it.

                          I forgot to post this.

I have been to the huge garden centre, meanly to the fruit and veg part of it, their cheese is so much cheaper than in any supermarket, plus, much tastier. DS1 said they have enough cheese so I got them fresh farm butter instead! I was there quite early, by the time I left it was packed!!

You have a busy day Gem.

Nanto, enjoy your visit into the town.

Oma, you will enjoy spoiling Storm.

I am going to get a plant in a pot, I couldn't resist busying just the one! It will replace the smelly orchid!

Not much happening today so no news. I think I might be seeing our new baby tomorrow. Very dismal weather, so not wanting to go out. Harriet has just been in to show me a dress they have bought for her to wear on Christmas Day. They really can’t afford to do this but GD will not let her go without, in fact overdoes it.

Nanto, I love Christmas Markets, did you find anything Christmassy?

Gemini, I hope the Christmas Markets went well and made lots of money. I hope OH’s scan went well too. Murder Mystery dinner sounds good.

Oma, No mention of Mil, presume she is still in hospital. Would she really consider going into care

                            Lizzie, Good news from doctor.

No she won't even talk about it,
Stubborn till her last breath we say,
I think she will be in hospital for a while as it's more her heart than anything else now.

I bet H is very proud of her new dress ,
I'm sure your GD spoils her and does without herself so H can have stuff,
How nice if you get to see the baby tomorrow 😁

                              Gem
How did the Christmas stall do ?
                              Enjoy tonight xx

That's good news from the Dr,
GD must be very pleased with her new bed .

B put the Christmas lights outside in-between rain showers today ,
Storm stood with his paws on the window sill watching his every move 😁

                                Good evening ladies.

The rain is absolutely pouring down.
I've been up since ΒΌ to 5 this morning, and not once has the rain stopped.
                                Its been dark all day.

Christmas market was disappointing. It was 95% food stalls.
What we consider to be overpriced food.
Besides it wasn't the kind of food i would eat.
About four of the stalls sold food that hubby would eat.

We went to a new cafe that opened a couple of weeks ago.
After we had eaten, hubby said that was alright. If hubby says that,it means the food was good.
                                Both of us enjoyed it.

Lizzie, glad it was good news from the doctor.

Gem, hope OH's scan went ok.
                                Enjoy the Murder Mystery meal.

Plant, hoping you get to see the baby tomorrow.

When we got home from town,it was lovely to get in a dry and warm house.
