      Good morning ladies.

I think I'm on the right day after thinking it was Sunday yesterday.

Fridge cleaned ready for Sainsbury's delivery between 9 and 10.
I've had a message saying they've got everything i asked for, so that's good.

Mince and onions in slow cooker for a couple of pies for the freezer.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

I'm glad you are on the right day now Nan2

I've not heard from DD3 yet so hopefully they had peaceful night with little E. I will head over there a bit later.
I will be back for my shingles jab at 4.

          Gem
I hope he has slept well, it will be mummy who is tired , I bet she has been on high alert all night 😁

          Nanto

I get days like that I sometimes only know what day. It is by the bin day on a Tuesday and going to MILs on a Thursday,
But with how many times we have been the last two weeks it's all muddled up😁

Been to Aldi , done my housework and washing ,
Just having 5 minutes on hear before I sort the draws out in the bedroom ,
Lots of underwear needs throwing and a few old cardigans can go ,
I also have some nighties I might throw , I only wear PJs.

            Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I kept thinking it was Sunday yesterday, and the day before seemed like Friday. I checked the day/date on my computer before I called today Thursday! It's a good omen for the day when Sainsburys have got everything you ordered. Mince and onion pies sound very tasty.

Gem, have a lovely time with little E. I'm sure he will be excited to see you and tell you all about his adventures at the hospital, bless him. I hope your shingles jab goes ok. I think it's a very useful protection to have - shingles is so painful.

Oma, you've got a lot done today already. It's good to have a clear out of clothes you don't wear anymore. It's a small miracle, but my OH is currently sorting out belts. Some are in tatters, and time they were pensioned off. How is MIL today? Are you visiting her?

I feel much better today. The hairdresser came at 9 am, and my hair really did need some TLC. I'm very pleased with it. I'm going to do some baking now, and this afternoon I'm meeting up with my lovely next door neighbour. We'll either have a walk into the village and stop for a cuppa, or she'll come round here. We haven't had a chance to catch up with each other for a couple of weeks.

Been in to see MIL although she is still poorly she was very chatty today ,
Had a good laugh at things ,
She felt hungry as they have her on steroids but as she had been poorly we didn't take anything in,,
So I went down to the cafe and got her a sandwich some crisps and a chocolate muffin,
She had a cup of tea and ate the cake..

The results of the flu and COVID are not back and they don't know where the infection is but her markers are high ,
So it is a case of ruling one thing at a time out.

Daisy you are sounding well at the moment. It's good to hear ..... but still don't over do it!

Oma, at least MIL enjoyed the cake and had a laugh.

I had a lovely day with little E, DD and SIL3. He is so happy, and although his eyes are still red and sore looking he's not complaining at all. He has calpol and ibuprofen syrups he can have but is coping well.

Dose 1 of the shingles jab is done. It had to be at the Drs surgery as the pharmacy don't do the. The nurse was ordering me to 'Put your shoulders down, relax your shoulders, THAT shoulder!' ' These are my shoulders down I told her, I have tense shoulders!' I usually have my other jabs at the pharmacy where they are much nicer!

Oma, it's good to hear MIL was chatty and cheerful today. Is she on antibiotics/anti virals or have they got to wait to see what the test results are?

Gem, how rude of the nurse at your surgery. Apart from anything else, the more someone behaves like that the less you can relax. She must have been having a bad day, but that's no excuse to speak to you like that. When do you have to have the next jab? I'm so glad you had a lovely time with little E and his parents. You must all be feeling relieved.

I seem to have had a busy day. I had a shower and washed my hair before the hairdresser came at 9 o'clock. I only had about 2 inches cut off but it makes a big difference. After a coffee I did a few odd jobs and made a sandwich for lunch as OH was busy trying to do something on his computer. Our neighbour came round after lunch, bearing lovely big lemony muffins from our fantastic bakers in the village. We had a good old chat and before we realised it was gone 4 and both our dogs needed walkies. She helps with a local Mencap group on Thursday evenings, so we didn't walk them together. I took Eva a bit later on. OH has just gone to make dinner, but after that huge cake I'm not hungry!

I was more tired than I realised, and I'm going to have a quiet relaxing evening, I've just got the Sainsburys order to do.

Daisy, a busy day for you, so a relaxing evening is in order

The second part of the shingles jab is in six months time, so not until summer.

Good evening ladies! Well this afternoon didn't go to plan! I had qijong this morning and I'd planned to get some housework, which has been ignored for several days, done this afternoon. Had a shower, fiddle faddled around and had just finished lunch when the doorbell rang. It was a friend who was walking her DD's dog and popped in. About a fortnight ago this friend's OH was tragically killed in a hit and run accident in the next village. He'd been on his bike and was hit by a driver who had been drinking, wasn't insured and was on the wrong side of the road. The horrible thing was that I'd just sent her a text and she rang me back and I was about to say that I hadn't expected her to answer so quickly and she was in tears as the police had just been. She was concerned about who would do the next coffee morning . I managed to get her calmed a bit and spoke to her daughter and reassured her I'd ring round the necessary people. I was the first person she'd spoken to after the news. Anyway, I persuaded her to come in for a cuppa and have a chat. Two hours later, she was still here. I think she just needed to talk with someone and I hope I helped. She was laughing as she left, so I think I must have. The dog found the drawer where the treats are kept and she was allowed one, then promptly fell asleep on my feet! They live a couple of houses down from Plant's GS and his family. Such a tragedy, he was such a lovely, kind gentleman.
I think this driver will have the book thrown at him for his actions. The only decent thing going for him is that he did stay at the scene and didn't run away.

I did manage to get the hoover out and the duster, so the house is a bit tidier looking then before. Why is it when your house is untidy someone turns up ? I remember my mum saying that everytime they left the dishes or didn't clear up, her MiL would arrive. One time DB was stripping his motor bike in the kitchen ( because it was too cold outdoors) and MiL and her OH arrived. The kitchen door stayed firmly closed during that visit!

I've been doing abit of dogsitting lately. DD and SiL are trying to get the dog used to being on his own for longer periods of time, but If it's too long, I've been going across and keeping him company. I don't mind really as long as I've got nothing else on. After the initial excitement, he usually settles down and goes to sleep but yesterday he decided to have a tug-of-war with his rope toy! I think I was definitely the loser! In fact we were having so much fun he didn't hear SiL come in!

I hope that they find the problem with MiL Oma and that it can be treated. Hope that E's operation has corrected the problem with his eyes, Gem. Hope that all goes well with your treatment Gem, just take each day as it comes and do what you feel like! Hope too that everyone else is doing OK.

Have a good evening ladies and take care! x

                        Oh WG, how very sad.
I'm sure you were a help and comfort to that poor lady .

It will be a few days before they will know if E's eyes have been helped, but I did think they looked better already.

Gem, when i had the shingles jab it was just one dose, but thats a few years back.
Glad little E is doing ok.

WG, that is so sad about your friends husband.
I bet she was thankful for being able to talk with you.

Oma, glad MIL was cheery today.

Daisy, hope you are having a relaxing evening.

I got the filling for mince and onion pies cooked, but they will be made tomorrow.
it was pies or ironing, the ironing won.

WeeGranny, how truly awful for your friend to lose her husband like that. I wonder if you speaking to her just as she got that dreadful news has created a special bond for her. You did well to stay calm for her and give her the immediate help she needed and today she must have felt safe talking to you. I'm sure you helped her a great deal.

There must be some evil law that sends unexpected visitors to the house when you know it's not at its best. But I always hope they've come to see us, not check up on my housekeeping skills - or lack of them.

I think some dogs find it very hard to be on their own. I was talking to someone I know a couple of days ago. Four years ago she adopted a long-haired Viszla who was neglected and ill-treated. The dog now looks very healthy and much calmer, but her owner says she still suffers from separation anxiety. Your DD's dog is lucky to have such a kind Granny visiting him. He obviously loved the tug game you played.

Gem, it's reassuring that little E's eyes already look better. I only had one shingles jab as well. I wonder why they changed it.

Good morning. Feels colder than yesterday. It was quite mild all day yesterday.

First job this morning is to get the pies done for the freezer.
I must not do anymore batch cooking because i won't have the room in either freezer.

                              Have a good day ladies.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2 it was so mild here yesterday. Between 0 and 2 on my car the day before , 13 yesterday!

I'm not sure when the shingles jab was changed, but it's a two part thing now.

DD3 and little E are coming this morning I think. As he was doing so well yesterday DD thought it might be nice to get him out, and OH couldn't see him yesterday due to golf.
                                GS2 from school this afternoon.
