Good morning. It's a beautiful sunny morning.

Plant, hope the little one is OK after his fall.

Hubby is going to finish the shed this morning. Just the front left to do.

Changing the bedding and upstairs cleaning for me.

Dinner is hubby's weekly treat of egg, chips and peas/beans.

        Morning Nanto
Once the shed is done I bet hubby finds another job😁

It's overcast but muggy , forecast is for sunshine soon.

SIL is coming to put the new astro turf down at lunch time , so B been out rolling the old stuff up ready for the tip.

I have done my usual routine housework then I cleaned the front door and window sills and the plant pots,
They all got covered in fine sand when B pressure hosed the pathways,

I might clean the insides of all the windows if I feel up to it ,

Finley is back on form , he went for a bike ride with them yesterday,
They sent a photo and although he looked a little pale still he was all smiles.

We have to wait for DPD to pick the TV unit up we sending back ,
So far this morning we have had 3 different pick up times from them,
So just have to wait see whatever time they turn up.

            Hi everyone.
We are having a good time, apologies for not commenting on everything, but I am having a quick read every day
I will tell you all about our holiday eventually.
It's 4.30 am, been awake ages. I will be very glad when we adjust to local time

            Love to everyone xx

              Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, that little dormouse is very cute. Is your shed a different colour? You've reminded me I need to change the bed as well.

Oma, so pleased to hear little Finn is virtually back to normal. The bike ride in the fresh air has probably helped his appetite as well. Pressure washing is all very well, but it also creates other jobs like getting rid of the splashes on doors and windows etc.

Gem, it's lovely to her from you, but please don't worry about trying to keep up with everything. I hope you soon adapt to local time - waking up so early must be tiring. Can you get back to sleep again?

Plant, I hope the dentist was pain-free and cost-free.

I had a 7.50 appointment for a blood test this morning - local hospital so only a 20 minute journey. We got there about 5 minutes early so OH dropped me off outside and then went to park. I was in and out by the time he'd walked back to the building. When we left home at 7.30 there was hardly any traffic on the road, but by the time we were going home a few minutes after 8 the traffic going into the town had built up and ground to a halt. It wasn't helped by what we think was a food waste collection truck stopping at houses on the narrow busy road.

We started with our Council's new wheelie bin scheme last week. DS2 said theirs worked perfectly on the Monday. By Friday, our collection day, the general waste was collected but not the food bins! The Council have apologised for not collecting from part of our village, another village and part of a town. They said put your food bin out today and it will be collected sometime this week! The donkeys have already worked out how to empty these caddies, and I'm sure the ponies won't be far behind!

Daisy, the donkeys would soon find the food bins.

Dental visit was almost pain free and reasonably priced. I am still a NH patient with my dentist so check-up is very reasonable. The only problem for me now is that I have to climb steps to reach their door, must be at least 16 of them. I stopped for a coffee but no energy to go and look at the shops.

Oma, hope the fitting of the new turf goes to plan but I suppose it is like fitting carpet to your SIL. Pleased to hear Finn is feeling a bit brighter.

Nanto, you and your OH are always busy, I hope you sit and enjoy your garden.

Gemini, Relaxing time now for you and S. You will probably need a nap after that early start.

Plant, you're lucky to have an NH dentist. Dare I say they're rarer than hens' teeth! But I think even a straightforward check up seems to be tiring, so no wonder you didn't want to go shopping after your coffee.

Oma, are you pleased with your new turf? I hope you had a rest instead of cleaning the windows.

Gem, I hope you have adjusted to the local time and get a longer night's sleep tonight.

We've done very little today. OH had a nap before lunch, and I gave him a much-needed haircut when he woke up. I've pottered in the garden for an hour or so, and OH has been catching up on his paperwork.

Had a busy morning, but the afternoon was more relaxing.
Hubby finished painting the shed,i changed the bedding and cleaned upstairs.
The washed bedding dried quickly with the heat and breeze.

Oma, has the new astro turf been laid?

Turf all done , it looks lovely
The old turf was looking a bit shabby as it's been down many years,

I got all the windows inside cleaned up and down and all the mirrors cleaned,

                          Plant
Pleased it wasn't too expensive at the dentist ,
we still have a NH dentist but still have to pay for everything.

                          Daisy
I bet your pleased the food bin wasn't sitting too long,
Once they get into the schedule you shouldn't have that problem hopefully.
Does J look like a new man with his new haircut 😁

Oma, of course, B is really looking forward to going to IKEA tomorrow. We hope there won't be ongoing problems with bin and food collections, but I'm not converted, yet!

Nanto, were you able to sit outside this afternoon?

We've had a nice day, after a rather dull start, but neither of us felt like doing a lot. I think it was the early start that wore me out.

                            Night, night, everyone.

We have a free day tomorrow so I should get some posting done.

                              Night everyone.

                                Good morning.

Daisy, we did have a bit of time sat in the garden.

                                Enjoy your free day Gem.

Going into town with hubby, I need to pick up the skirts I've had shortened.
We'll meet up for coffee before we come home, after he's left his pal.

Meat and potato pie with veg for dinner.
