    Morning ladies
We are off to MILs this morning, first time in 3 weeks ,
B phoned Martin last night, he wasn't happy with her said he had gone with Finn on Friday and all she did was shout at Finn and telling him to sit down and be quiet, he 2 for god's sake ,
Martin said he bit his tongue but if she keeps it up he will just stop taking him.
Just as well Clare wasn't there she takes no crap and would have blown .

Fingers crossed it's a good visit , we can't be doing with her nonsense at the moment.
Have a good day ladies ,
It's dry here but cold how is it at your end ?

      Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, Hello to your sweet little friend. He's put a smile on my face. That colcannon mash is doing well, and it will go well with the pie filling. You've reminded me I need to defrost something for us today. Am I right in thinking your solar lights don't need to be wired in - they just work of the solar energy? Just thinking - we need to do something to light up our front door . We've got an ordinary light we can switch on from inside the house but when we come in and it's dark we're fumbling around to unlock the door.

Gem, I think we've all had enough of winter this year. It seems never-ending. E will be at a lovely age to go out and enjoy the park etc when the weather's a bit better.

Oma, I do hope MIL is in a good mood for you today. You're right, neither you nor B need to cope with her outbursts at the moment. Martin did will to keep quiet when she was going on at Finn. I suppose she's not used to children's noise and levels of activity, but shouting at the poor little lad isn't acceptable. It's not quite so cold this monring, but still dull and dreary. Where's the sun, please?

No plans for us today. The man should be coming to service the boiler sometime today - he had to cancel last week. But that's all. I think yesterday tired Eva out. She got up for her breakfast, a quick trip into the garden and now she's gone back to sleep!

MIL was ok just general chit chat and her usual moans ,
I casually asked if she had seen Finn lately , she just said yes last Friday , never mentioned him being noisy .
I think she knows I will tell her he's only a baby so she won't say anything.
From there we called in the farm shop for meat and we treated ourselves to a cake ,
I got a iced bun and B got a Black forest gateau cake ,
My favourite but I had been craving a iced bun , they are huge so will last two days .

        It's cold but dry still.

        Daisy
Ava must be tired all the excitement from yesterday 😁

Another dull and dismal day, nothing planned, just catching up with washing. Nice afternoon at games, didn’t win any. . We had birthday cake from a player. The managers are amazing in keeping the hall active.

Oma, what a shame your Mil doesn’t seem to enjoy the company of her grandson, I can’t get enough of my GC and GGC. Pleased to hear you are enjoying food again.

Daisy, how lovely for the dogs to be back enjoying their fun and games. Sounds like Eva will not need a walk today.

Gemini, it sounds like a very enjoying meet up with your friends

Hallo everyone, it is bright here now, but, a bitter cold wind, brass monkey weather as my mum used to put it!!!

Nanto, I had to google colcannon mash!!! It does sound tasty though.

Daisy, it isn't very often DS1 complains about the weather, he phoned yesterday and said he was fed up of the dull days! I think we all are! As I say, it is brighter at the moment and more sun forecast over the weekend.

If this works it is a photo of the cycle parking at one of the stations.

How nice to get cake , worth going for πŸ˜ƒ
              Was the hall cold?

We said the same about the children,

She is always the same doesn't mind them when they are babies but as soon as they are up and about on their feet she has no time for them.
She has been the same with all our children and grand children and great grandchildren.
Once they are adults she's fine again .
It's happened for years so no surprise to us.

                  Wow!, Lizzie, some cycle park!

Oma, It is a very large hall with a high ceiling, usually a bit cold for us oldies but yesterday the Manager must have turned the heat up as it was warmer. Perhaps someone had said something. They show a film once a month perhaps people were cold watching it. We have amazing managers, they are husband and wife. There are several rooms, little girls were in another room dancing. Everywhere is very clean, very new clean toilets. It is a bit far for you to rent it.

Wow Lizzie, you can tell it's a cycling city!

I'm glad the hall heating was turned up Plant, no fun being cold at any age

Oma I can imagine how M felt. My mum loved babies and children, but once when I was visiting with her was very unpleasant to my 18 month old GD ( who was a little angel) Mum spoilt it for herself and me, as up to then I had been taking GD to see mum every 3rd week but I stopped taking her .

GS3 and I went to the library this morning. Another lovely day with him as usual. He's gone home, newly bathed. He will be back on Saturday so we won't have time to miss him this week

Lizzie, that bike parking is incredible. Your cycle paths must be as congested as our roads. I'm with your DS1 over this dull weather.

Plant, the hall sounds really lovely, and the managers obviously take a great pride in it. Birthdays without cake aren't proper birthdays in my book. A nice treat. Eva definitely did need her walk this afternoon. She started asking about 3 o'clock, but I wanted to get a few jobs done so it was about 4 when we went out. Eva thoroughly enjoyed herself, as usual, but I was freezing cold. I'm only just thawing out now!

The village hall we use for dog training can be very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. But we're hoping the new roof is better insulated so will help whatever the weather. They've put new guttering and drain pipes on as well, so maybe it won't get quite so muddy in the wet weather. I don't think it's well used at the moment - it's very isolated with hardly any parking space - but maybe the council are hoping they'll attract more bookings.

Gem, what a pity your mum was so unkind to your lovely GD. I wouldn't have taken her there again, but so sad really - your Mum missed out on your GD's early years. As always, it sounds as though you and GD3 have had a great time together. I'm sure his Mum and Dad were delighted he was bathed etc - they could relax and spend time with him. Is he staying overnight at the week-end?

                        Good morning .

I posted on here last night, but it looks like i deleted it instead of posting it. I must have been tired. I put an up to date photo of our Tommie on.

Hubby was supposed to meet his pal this morning, Yesterday pal cancelled, saying he didn't feel too good. Hubby was a bit disappointed.

We had visitors yesterday afternoon, and they stayed till early evening. It was hubby's sister and husband.

No plans for today. Will just take the day as it comes.

Dinner is a corned beef pie, similar to a cottage/shepherd's pie.

Decorating when little ones are around isn't easy , you have to keep stopping to see to them so everything takes longer to do.

Gemini, Have a nice time with GS3, he will keep you busy.

                                Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, what an stunning smile Tommie's got. He looks full of mischief. I hope your OH's pal is ok. Is it the same friend who had to cancel a couple of weeks ago?

Gem, a fun week-end for DD and SIL3, decorating. But it will be quicker and easier without GS3 "helping". I remember us decorating the living room when our DSs were very young. It was an open plan room with the stairs going off it so not easy to keep the boys away from the work, so we gave them paintbrushes and set them to work! They had a ball, and some of the paint even went on the walls. There was more on them, though.

Oma, Eva has got pestering off to a fine art. She sits in front of you, doing big puppy eyes and if you try to step round her she just shuffles round until she's facing you again. You feel like the worst dog parent in the world after a few minutes. Very happy birthday to your DD. Are you all celebrating at the week-end? Shhh - don't tell everyone about your fine weather - we'll all want some.

Plant, have you had a chance to have a good look round your garden yet? I've been having a look round at all the jobs that need doing in ours, but I read that clearing up after the winter debris too early destroys most of the beneficial invertebrates, so I think I'll leave it for a while.

A few odd jobs to do this morning, then I'm taking Eva over to DS2's this afternoon. We're going to DIL1's for the week-end tomorrow and normally we take Eva with us. But Eva chases Scully the cat and the cat won't come in the house when Eva's there. It's too cold for her to stay out at the moment, and she's only just recovering from a nasty puncture wound, so Eva's got a week-end with Cooper instead!
