    Morning ladies,

Gem enjoy Betty’s lovely to have vouchers for places like that isn’t it.
We we’re running short on sweets too,
What was left B will eat as I don’t eat sweets.

    Nanto
We had fish and chips the night we had the boiler put in , I was so hungry by the time he left I almost licked the paper 😁
Isnt it heartbreaking seeing the all the floods and the loss of life in Spain , those poor people .

I intended going to Aldi shopping this morning but by the time I had pottered around got upstairs I couldn’t even stand in the shower,
I ended up sitting on the loo and having a wash down.

On the plus side I took two co codomol before bed and once I found a position to lie in I slept 5 hours.
Just as well we can laugh about stuff as it was a hysterical getting me into bed and finding that position, then my PJ bottoms got all twisted and I couldn’t move ,
So B had to yank them around ,
I was like a sack of potatoes ,
We giggled like school children even though I was in agony ,
Talk about black humour , the things B was saying made me laugh more and hurt more 🤣🤣🤣

      Forgot to say ,
When the trick or treaters came last night there was one group of 4 who were all about 12/13 ish.
When we opened the door we had a little chat and B said I’m not getting any treats I’m not allowed to touch the bowl.

One lad opened his bag and said do you want some of mine 😁
      How nice was that 😁

Oma, Honestly you two are a laugh a minute.

Daisy, It doesn’t take much to confuse me

Gemini, I envy your visit to Bettys, we don’t have anything similar near to us. I expect it will take time for your GS1 to get used to his increased hearing.

H and her parents went trick or treating last evening, she has a lovely witches costume. One lady had small boxes with goodies inside depending on the age of the child.

We are off to Waitrose for lunch then to the swimming pool next door for H to have time in the toddlers pool. GD2 is very poorly, she has infected tonsils, her partner is taking her to see a doctor.

Plant I bet H was a gorgeous little witch. I feel for your poor GD, I suffered for years with awful recurrent bouts of tonsilitis.

Oma, at least you can laugh together, it's the only way sometimes!

We didn't go to Betty's in the end. We decided a sunny half term Friday wasn't the best time to go into York! We went to Mamma Doreen's Emporium, where I had another voucher for, and had tea and cake. It's out of town and easy free parking.
Glorious sunset when we were on our way home.

I'm a bit late saying 'hello' today. I think I mentioned we had visitors for coffee and lunch coming this morning and after our busy, chaotic day yesterday we had to set to an tidy up a bit, plus the grocery order arrived at 9 o'clock and it was bin day as well. Still, we've had a nice day. I did a ploughman's lunch which was easy and we sat and chatted for a while afterwards.

Gem, it sounds as though you made the right choice for your afternoon tea. There have been some amazing sunsets just lately - lovely.

Plant, your poor GD2. She must be feeling very poorly and fed up. Did H enjoy her afternoon in the paddling pool? I bet she sleeps well tonight after that and the excitement of yesterday.

Oma, I can imagine how hilarious you both were wrestling your PJs into position last night, although I really do feel for you being in so much pain.

Gem, tea and cake sounds good, wherever you have it.

Daisy, you and OH deserve a couple of restful days.

                  Evening ladies ,
We went out with GS & Lucie for a Indians tonight,
First time I’ve been out for a while,
We got parked right at the door so not far to walk.

Lovely meal but the seats were so soft I was in agony trying to get up .
Ive taken painkillers and I have a hot water bottle
                  Hopefully they work.

                  Gem
Ive never heard of mamma Doreen’s , is it just a little independent cafe? Sounds lovely.

Plant poor GD she must be feeling so poorly,
I hope H had a good time in the pool,
I bet she made a lovely little witch 😁🎃🧙🏻

I hope your having a quiet evening after a hectic day 😁

My SIl ( late brothers wife ) rang this afternoon,
She can talk for England and doesn’t come up for air.
Anyway it was to tell me that one of my cousins had passed away,
she wanted to know if we were going to the funeral.

I told her no as I haven’t seen him since 1992 when my mother died ,
I don’t know the man and although it’s sad he died I can’t see the point of me turning up to his funeral after all these years .
I rang my sister and she said the same thing so I don’t feel so bad .

Oma, don't feel bad about not going to your cousin's funeral. It sounds as though you weren't close and it's such a long time since you've seen him.

What a shame your lovely Indian meal was spoilt by the soft chairs. I hope you get into bed ok, and sleep well tonight. xx

We did have a quiet evening, but I ended up taking Eva out very late - after 10 o'clock - when the fireworks had finished. It's a good job I'm not afraid of the dark!

                      Good morning.

Oma, I didn't go to my cousins funeral last year. I hadn't seen her for over 20 years. We only kept in touch by a Christmas card.

We are going to the farm shop, then to the garden centre.
Hoping to get the turkey today.
                      Then it's onto asda.

l have my shopping delivered now, but I've got £93 in vouchers, that have to be used in store.
Don't need much as regards ordinary shopping, but I'm going to get my Christmas baking stuff.
Can't see us using all the vouchers today, but you never know.
The vouchers last for 2 years.

Daisy, there were a lot of fireworks going off last night in our area.

Gem, I've never heard of Mamma Doreens either.

Good morning everyone, I have had a sore butt a few days, thought I must have pulled a muscle with the training, then thought yesterday it is exactly the spot where the "pacemaker" for my bladder was fitted (and removed) a few years ago, I think it was the scar tissue that was irritated, we had fall prevention yesterday afternoon, I did go, manage to do most of the falls, I will see how it goes today.

I hear fireworks here, the thing is, not allowed until New Years Eve here! That will be 2 months of bangs.

Nanto, how do you get the vouchers? I hope that you manage to buy something today.

Oma, don't worry about going to your cousins funeral, I haven't seen mine in years. I do hear from one cousin now and again, it was her father that sexually abused me so I have never really had much contact with her.

Daisy, you did have a busy day.

I want to go to the charity shop this morning, the car boot is full! I may go and fill up with petrol first.

Oma, is your back any better?

I am listening to Tony Blackburn, he is playing Hit the road Jack, at my friends service there was opera, classic music then they played this!!! We all had something like, "oh"! It was her favourite music to dance to.

I forgot to mention that since I have been doing the medical training at the centre here I have hardly any pain in my knee's, it was my butt playing up the last few days

The owner was telling me that there will be a lot of building going on for the next few months, his father did tell me, they have bought the building and now having all the physio treatment rooms on the first floor and the medical training space will be much larger.

                          Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, good morning to your cute little girl and her butterfly as well! It's lovely having vouchers to spend - I always feel I can splash out a little on things I might not usually buy. Which reminds me, I've got a lot of Nectar points - I can spend those online, I think.

Lizzie, we all seem to be at the age where there is something, somewhere that hurts, but it sounds as though you are doing the right things to ease your aches and pains. "Hit the Road Jack" is a great song to dance to. The medical training space must be a well-used facility to be expanding so much.

Oma, how is your back this morning?

I'm not sure what to do today. I've got washing in and a couple more loads to do. I have to defrost and clean out the chest freezer. The dog food is being delivered later this morning and I've been running the freezer down so it shouldn't take long to empty, defrost and restock. After that OH has said he'll help me with some gardening if the rain holds off. We'll see.

                            Morning ladies.

                            Nanto,
The vouchers will come in handy for Christmas treats etc,
I hope you get your Turkey today.
B is going to the farm shop this week to order the beef for Christmas Day,
Im not fussed rather have the Turkey but all the family like both on Christmas Day.

                            Lizzie
Scar tissue can be very painful
I think seeing your cousin would bring back unpleasant memories, just as well you don’t see her often,

That Physio treatment place will be lovely and spacious I bet .

Didn’t get a good sleep last night but I did sleep on and off , kept waking with the pain then would you believe it I got foot cramp😱🙄

I have managed to potter this morning , got likes of the door knobs and light switches cleaned , being chrome they show every finger mark.
I dusted and cleaned the work tops but B had to strip the beds , thats one job I couldn’t do .

It’s very wet and dreary today,
GS coming at some point wants grandad to look at something for him .

I think DD and SIL are going to the house with Victoria and Mathew,
They came up yesterday and are staying with DD for the weekend.

One job I have is defrosting ,
We have a little fridge under the stairs for cans of pop for B and bottles of water for me etc ,
The back gets frosted and needs doing every few month ,
                              It seems to take forever.

                                Good morning everyone.

Oma, I hope your back pain eases soon, it's so miserable. I'm glad you manage to go out for the meal at least. Mama Doreen's, which you asked about has branches in York and Harrogate. The York branch opened last year sometime.

£93 is a good amount of vouchers Nan2!

Lizzie I hope the pulled muscle soon eases.

Daisy, if it rains and you cant do any gardening, you could read or paint

A no plans day today. We have a couple of things on tomorrow ,and I heard OH on the phone telling a friend we would be out this afternoon. It turns out she thought today was Sunday and was very surprised when I pointed out it was definitely Saturday
