Thinking about extra Tea Room treats for lockdown. Years ago when I worked in Chester there was an amazing old-fashioned food hall and restaurant called Quaintways. It later became a music venue and night club (called Rosies, I think) and a mecca for northern soul. I bet Glamma will know of it.

My favourite cake was a range of fairly small, moist marzipan cakes in the shape of various types of fruit. They were very rich, squishy in the middle but utterly delicious - I wonder if Mariella could conjure up something similar! They probably had about 2 million calories per cake, but as all Tea Room goodies are calorie-free we don't have to worry about that!

I love bread pudding. We all ate a lot of it at the cafe in Crouch End where we had lunch most days in my college days.
