We had a lovely day and all 3 grandchildren seem to have grown in the 2 weeks we were away!

I am spending tonight catching up on TV, and practicing holding my breath with the stopwatch on my phone!

Good morning Nanto, and ladies. Just enjoying my first cuppa - but I've already been a busy bee - a load of washing done, all Eva's bowls etc thoroughly scrubbed and meals for today and tomorrow prepared for her, I've put back all the kitchen stuff we took in the caravan and made a list of what we need so we don't have to keep swapping things from one place to another. Time to start planning our next trip. We're aiming for at least one a month, but if we don't plan and book we know we'll never get round to it.

Nanto - I was pleased to hear from DS1 yesterday, especially since he'd had a 50 hr journey to get there and has a busy week ahead of him, before flying back next week-end. I phone dDIL1 about 9 pm last night, just to touch base, make sure she is ok and have a catch up. She answered the call, but was already on the phone to DS1 and she could hear both calls together, but DS and I couldn't hear each other. I was just using normal mobile line and he was using WhatsApp. Technology sometimes amazes me!

It's a lovely sunny day today - and, of course, about 10 degrees warmer than when we were away! Back to routine - picking up GD2 from playgroup etc. It seems ages since I've seen the girls, even though it was only last Tuesday.

Oma - Josh must be pretty fit to play two games in one day! I'm glad you had a lovely meal out - your sister would have been with you in spirit, enjoying the occasion and giggling with you. xx

Clover - I've still got toys from when our sons were young. I'm not sure why, except that when we say we'll get rid of them they both howl in protest! But somehow they prefer to keep them in our loft rather than theirs.

            Enjoy the sunshine, everyone!

Good morning everyone, we don't have any sunshine here at all today, just cloud and its not very warm either .

Did you all have a nice weekend and a lovely mother's day ?
DD wasn't able to travel up to see us and oldest DS was working but other DS , DIL and GD did pop by but oldest GS wasn't able to come as he was unwell. DIL said he isn't eating at the moment so he must be feeling unwell .

I did have plans to restart the painting this morning but time has moved on at an alarming rate that I think it will be after lunch when I do eventually make a start .
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Pleased your caravan trip was a success Daisy, perhaps next time you will have better weather, do you have an awning?

Not sunny here, just overcast, bowling for me today, hope I play better than last week

Had a lovely lunch at DS's yesterday, both GS's are swotting for exams and the eldest feeling very stressed, he needs to get good grades to go to Birmingham University. The younger one is leaving school too, he hopes to be able to go to a college to study a mechanical course.

                  Good morning all.

All change here yet again! The scanner at the hospital is down in fact two are so I had a phone call telling me not to go for my 11am appointment for the 40 minute breath hold session followed by scan. Fortunately we hadn't set off for Leeds. It is rearranged for early Friday morning. Longer to practice holding my breath but also longer to worry about it! Can't be helped though. OH has a bone density scan this afternoon, but apart from that a free day now. I would normally have GS1, but of course thought I couldn't so DD has made other plans. I will finish my unpacking.

Daisy using your caravan once a month is an excellent idea

I hope you enjoy the bowls Plant.

Morning ladies , oops AFTERNOON in fact 😊
Gem it's a pain when these things happen but can't be helped can they
Plant I hope your on top form at bowls today 👍
Daisy once you get everything you need in the caravan it will be less stressful I bet .
Mimi some days time just runs away doesn't it ,
Been to bank then to Homebase wanted some hold backs for bedroom curtains , wasn't going to bother but I'm finding they too much over the window and blocking light out of the room the lining is so heavy and thick it's hard to keep them fully back they seem to crawl back along the pole , I bought a little house plant too it's like a four leaf Clover fern thing , I'm not one for house plants but I did have one of these years ago in my other house and liked it so thought why not have another one , now need a nice pot to put it in 😊
The clock on my thread hasn't changed not sure how to do it either 😊

Afternoon ladies, what a gloriously sunny day we have had here. I conquered the ironing pile, walked the dog and a few other little jobs. Currently sat here with cling film wrapped around my head, waiting for the colour stripper to do its work . I have bought a baby blonde to use but will wait and see exactly what my natural colour is these days, salt and pepper no doubt. If it turns out a lovely grey I will be a happy bunny. Oma apart from orchids I am hopeless with plants unless their okay with neglect. Gem a shame about your appointment but at least you hadnt begun the journey, annoying though. Daisy good idea to make plans and a once a month break will be very welcome in the summer months. Poor Shiloh is still doing hop, skip and jump but at last I have spotted the problem. It seems he has cut the surface of a pad on his rear leg, propably due to the stony paths he races over, fortunately not a gaping wound and no blood. So will see how it goes before visiting the vet, I have covered the affected paw fingers crossed this will give it time to heal without his constant licking. Pets worse than kids for causing worry.

Pets are indeed a worry Libra! I hope his paw heals soon.

OH has done some of our ironing today and I will do some tomorrow.

We weren't long at her bone scan. It was at the Nuffield. 3 miles down the road, easy free parking, and no real waiting!

Been a busy day so only just got round to posting.
Gem it was a good job you hadn't set out for the hospital.I've not heard of the "breath holding" technique.I suppose it's so you keep ultra still.I hope it all goes well on Friday
Libra, sorry Shiloh is hopping due to a sore paw. Hopefully he'll leave it alone to heal.
I have quite a few house plants, mostly"Spider plants".They're tough as old boots and can happily be ignored(I.e forgotten) for ages and still survive
