What a name to call it Plant lol, well I don't know about others but it's pretty nippy here, but dry at least. DD will be at the school now and is armed with the anti bullying policy for reference. Not holding my breath for a resolution but for M's sake sincerely hope so,more for her mental welfare. She has been swinging from grumpy to angry this week, understandable in the circumstances I suppose.
Well just to rub it in it is lovely and bright and sunny here............
re mobile phones - as I look after all the finances I signed all the contracts for our phones, utilities etc. and then discovered the same thing. Nobody will speak to husband in my absence. Also we found that when he was applying for CRB/DBS he had no proof with utility bills of residency so we changed them all to joint except his mobile phone which is in his name. It didn't occur to us at the time it would cause difficulty, it just seemed easier.
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
Raining heavily at the moment. Todat we have had sun, rain, sleet and snow.
Had a few visitors today, but managed to get some packing done.Hubby just asked if i had got my 19 skirts,25 tops, 10 pairs of trousers 15 pairs of shoes in.
Told him, he is exaggerating slightly.
Aggie, hope the operation goes well, and that it does help.
Plant, someone wasn't thinking when they named the new Care for the elderley place.
Nana, not seen any houses decorated round here YET.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Nanto - surely it was only 14 pairs of shoes you packed???? My OH has a similar turn of wit, but he takes far more than I do.
Plant - that made me laugh out load.
Zizi - we have the same problem, except it's OH who does these things, and then gets stuck because 'they' have to speak to me and I'm out somewhere.
LG - it's biting cold along the coast here as well. I took Eva out at lunch time and it wasn't too bad then. I do hope DD got a result from the school today. Bullying is evil - no wonder M is swinging from one emotion to another. xx
I've been a busy bee - done the washing, made a huge beef in beer casserole for Tuesday night, prepped apples for apple tart making tomorrow, cooked liver for treats for Eva, made bread, cleaned the bathroom, tidied up (a bit) and finally collapsed at tea time. I know Oma would have done all this before 9 am, and I'd love to know how she does it.

Is there anyone else still awake? I came to bed at 10ish as I try to stick to a routine. I'm getting cabin fever now so I decided to give myself a challenge. I came across a knitting pattern for a pocket Ted. I'm making one for each GS for their stocking. Ted's is 3" high & has a sleeping bag & fits into a small tin. Really easy to do. (Just thought.. .should this be in the Craft thread?).
Nan2 I've forgotten where it is you're going. Hoping you enjoy your break. Plant the name of the place is hilarious.

Nana, i got up at 1.30, had a cuppa as i couldn't sleep. It's Tenerife we are going to.
Daisy, you have been a busy bee.
Gem, hope you both enjoyed the quiz night.

Morning ladies a very chilly morning, I have eldest DD and family coming for lunch tomorrow so will be busy making a crumble and DDs favourite from childhood a custard tart. She is still without a kitchen, but it is a huge project. She text me the other day to say "Oh the mess" as they have now started installing the 3 en suites on the 1st floor, they all currently sleep on the top floor which when its all done will be the guest suite. Bless her I told her to keep in mind the finished article.I think they have been frequent fast food users in the duration, apart from a few meals here and a couple at her MILs. Off for Shilohs walk will need to wrap up warm. Oma how is the new housework regime going or has it fallen by the wayside. Gem hows the knee now, hugs to all the poorlies. Oma please pass on my condolences to Qwerty, I do miss those that used to regularly post .
Mmm, crumble Libra! I must make some. I have been so lazy this autumn, having hardly cooked with our apples at all!
Zizi, enjoy the sunshine!
Nan2, when do you go?
Nana, those teddies sound so cute. My GS would love those. He has a strong sense of cute. He often deems Pomm Bears too cute to eat
Brr, it's cold here but sunny.
We had a good time at the quiz. Our team won 5 in our team, we came home with £6 each, so £12 between OH and me. Did you know that a girafffe is the mammal with the highest blood pressure? No, neither did we!
My knee is painful! I have been reading since before 6am due to the pain. My aim today is to remain downstairs until I go to bed tonight!! You don't realise until there is a problem how often you go up and down stairs in a day.
I need to go to the library before one ( no steps) then take my mum her audio books After lunch. No plans apart from that.
Happy Saturday!

Because I'm a idiot Daisy and run around like I don't have another minute in the day 😲😊
Hahaha, Oma. You can always make me laugh. So much for slowing down, eh!
Nana - all the sleep 'gurus' say you should keep to a routine, don't they. I hope your knitting challenge keeps you entertained - keep us posted on how it's going.
LG - your DD must be tearing her hair out, although she knew it was a big project. I think major work on the house is much worse in the winter than the summer. I bet they can't wait to get to Gran's yummy crumble tomorrow. I don't suppose the cold bothers Shiloh at all. A friend of mine always used to call this dry bright frosty weather 'Labrador weather' - so I'll put Eva's labrador credentials to the test later. Judging by the very quick trip into the garden this morning I think her Labrador soul must be quite low key!
Gemm - Congratulations to you, OH and the rest of your team. No, I didn't know that about giraffe's either! Rest your poor knee as much as you can and keep warm.
I'm on Day 2 of my 3-day marathon. Just off to make a couple of apple tarts - one for Tuesday and one for the freezer. Then a serious start on sorting out our dining room. This room drives me mad. It was extended 17 years ago and we plonked down what I regarded was an old rug from the previous house while we decided how to decorate the room. It's still there, with OH insisting there's plenty of wear in it. It's a Chinese rug, very thick dense pile and will outlive the planet, I think but is totally the wrong colour for a rather dark, north facing room. One end of the room is full of other stuff OH won't part with, but there's nowhere else to put them. I'm going to try and rationalise it all (ie move some of the stuff) and make it look more welcoming. Wish me luck!!

A sad end to my most enjoyable walk, came home to be greeted by my husband that my 1 remaining guinea pig had died He always chirruped for his morning feed, hubs went in with his food and all was quiet, discovered curled up in the corner, last nights food and fresh hay untouched. He may only be a guinea pig to some, but after 7 years we were attached to the little guy.
Libra it is sad when a pet passes away. They all have their own personalty and they are greatly missed.
Gem congratulations . You can be my phone a friend if I ever take part in a quiz. . I did sort of enter one last Christmas when I was out having a meal with my friends. We didn't realise a quiz was taking place at the pub when we booked , but after a glass of wine or two we joined in. We did nothing but laugh all the way through it much to the disapproval on the other quizzers.
It is a very cold day here , coming back from my yoga class in cold wind was biting into my face making my eyes water. I looked as if I had been crying.
Still no news on my phone. I have been told that I will hear from the repair team on Monday. As my mum used to say..... "We'll see "
