Oma - well done to your young man. He's doing really well.

Do you get to clean the trophy?

Well the sun finally came out and I spent the afternoon in the summerhouse doing a bit of art and pyrography. I've only recently started that - mainly because OH wants some decoration burning on to some of his wood turning projects, but I'm enjoying it. Today I made a heart-shaped label for a friend's birthday present.

Gem what a super day for you both. Sounds idyllic. I love those memory making days. It's been really hot & sunny for most part of the day here until later on when we've had a few showers.

Daisy had to look up pyrography. When you have time i'd love to see a pic of your work.

Oma, hope you both enjoy your break.
Started off wet this morning, but it did dry up. Got the washing dry.
Rosie been here all day, helped granddad with something in the shed, while I cut the grass.
Libra, a shame your meal wasn't the best, but I'm sure you enjoyed the company.

                      LOL, Qwerty! Love it!

I've just had a look at your photos, and can't believe how grown up the twinnies look. I know it's hard work looking after them, but they are gorgeous and both have cheeky little faces. Thanks for sharing them. xxx

Good Monday morning Nanto and everyone. Yes, 'fresh' is one word for it! I can't believe this is supposed to be summer!

Nana - I've only just started the pyrography - I'm still at the stage of trying out different nibs and techniques. Quite a lot of OH's woodturning buddies do pyrography but they mostly use templates for their designs. I'm trying to do it freehand - I wouldn't get any satisfaction from copying a pattern someone else had made. I'll post a pic of yesterday's gift tag when I've got a few minutes to get it off my phone.

LG -What a pity your meal was so awful. I've only been to that Inn once - many years ago when I was doing a course at the Uni - I had fish and it was still frozen. I sent it back twice and didn't eat in the end! It stuck in my mind because it was the worst meal I've ever had.

GD day for me today, so I'd better get myself sorted out and ready to play.

Good morning all. A wet start here.
I am going into town to meet a friend for coffee, then a quick shop at Sainsburys, which makes my parking there free.
Work this afternoon. I will catch up on posts here in between

                            Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies bravo to Josh Oma, a very talented young man. Overcast here but whats new, if the forecast is to be believed it will imrove by thursday. But no one hold their breath. Nothing planned here today, just the same old walk dog do some ironing. Work tomorrow then not back in until 23rd July. I am looking after my sisters dog on friday for a week whike they go on holiday her son usually house/dog sits but can't this year. Poor Millie is almost 17 has cataracts and cancer, vets are reluctant to treat further because of her age. She's a placid little jack russell, hope she survives a week with the whirlwind. I am setting up a quiet place for her away from the madness. Also got guests for dinner Saturday evening, glutton for punishment me.

Went plant shopping with DIL yesterday whilst the others were mountain biking. I wanted to buy them some plants for their garden now the building work was finished. Nice day, found some plants she liked, had lunch and then she waited for her son to return from mountain biking. When she went home apart from the plants she left with my old sewing machine, some bedding I loved but it needs ironing and I am not up to ironing very creased bedding, bought myself some new bedding from Dunelm. she also also borrowed my vax floor washer to try it. My son always says what comes out of other peoples houses comes into their house so she will have to sneak them in. It was lovely for me to see them all enjoying a family venture. They all had a brunch before leaving for biking cooked by SIL and GD.
