      Another busy day.
Been to parents and done the housework.
Came home, cut the grass while hubby trimmed the hedge.had something to eat ,then showered. Got a few of my own jobs done.
Hubby gone to his brothers to sort something out for him.

And we are supposed to be retired.

Oma, we had to go to Leeds each day, as York doesn't do radiotherapy. The treatment took a few minutes each day, but the journey there and back, often around rush hour, took ages. It's good that B is going to the best hospital. Upwards and onwards!
Retired seems to mean very busy these days Nan2!
It has rained on the washing while I was at my mums

Well I have had a stressful day, well morning, the kitchen is ripped out, that wasn't too bad but useless trying to have a conversation with kitchen person as no English except "lady" and "toilet". Only took two hours and everything has gone except the sink and part of the cooker hood.

Started working and everything I wanted to log into required a log in user name and password neither of which were recognised on any of the sites or programmes. Couldn't phone our IT department as so much noise. Rebooted about eight times and finally managed to get the damned log in to disappear. Then picked up an email changing the date of a school visit. This visit was originally Wednesday next week at Kings Cross but was changed to Friday which was more convenient as we have another short tour later on the Friday now they have changed it back again. Bit inconvenient as that means I have to be on site three days next week and although I am happy to be busy my new kitchen should be ready by Tuesday and I don't want husband putting things away in it or I will NEVER find anything!

The other thing is that I ordered mini PPE for the little people I am seeing on Tuesday. This is for their trips out so teachers and helps can see them. I was told they would be on site by Friday in time for my event on Tuesday and now they won't be available until Wednesday next week. It isn't the worst thing in the world as we can pop back and do a presentation of PPE or just drop it off. The school is a new primary academy in the heart of the construction at Kings Cross in London. IT only has nursery and reception X 2 classes so a lovely age.

Nothing goes according to plan but if it did I would probably be bored.......

It doesn't sound the most restful day Zizi!

When I went to the library to collect mums audio tapes, I didn't have her library card (as it is in my purse) I know the librarian quite well, so while she was checking the tapes out for me, I was telling her all about the purse/motorway services disaster. She and the other librarian sitting next to her agreed I had definitely won the best excuse for not having your library card award

Qwerty I'm sorry that I missed your DD's birthday. I hope that she enjoyed her day. Hey, no GC ....get your feet up girl Gem I missed your write up on you leaving your purse. Thank goodness you're getting it back, hopefully with all it's contents as you say. I was thinking Oma, that if all the love & healing vibes that go out to your OH is anything to go by, then he should feel well & truly cared about.

After the GS sleepover I've rested most of the day except from a half hr stint in the garden. I had to concede defeat as I'd had enough weeding an area of ground about 3' square. I wish that I had just a fraction of your energy ladies.

Take it easy Nana, you need to recharge your batteries after a GS sleepover. The weeding will have to wait

Thanks, I just get so frustrated. I just can't stand to see life pass me by & not be part of it. When OH came from work he finished the job & made tea. Can't ask for any better that that eh?

Zizi - I do hope the kitchen installation goes more smoothly than work is at the moment. xx

Nana - Nanto and Oma are right. It's much better to pace yourself. My DIL2's father who had a heart attack about a month ago and has had 2 stents fitted is supposed to be taking it easy, but in the middle of last week he decided to mow the lawn and do a load of gardening. Then on Friday night told DIL that he 'didn't feel right'. She's spent all week end worrying about him until he saw the doctor today who said he'd overdone things and he really did have to take it easy. So I think it's important to follow doctor's orders (or listen to what your body is telling you), not just for your own sake but also for your loved ones'. I know it's hard and frustrating though. Big hug. xxx

Morning all a very early start for me this morning, I was up at 6.30 don't know why!! Hoping hubby will do doggy duties today as I want to steam clean my suite and rugs.No emergency call from DD regarding a teachers strike (sigh of relief). Weather looks hopeful.Good luck with the viewings Jane, thats the part about house moving I hated, making sure the place was in tip top condition for each viewing.

                                Good morning everyone.
Jane, good luck for the viewings. Having your house for sale brings out the cleaner in us all

I'm going to DD2s today for lunch. The rate that baby is growing I will hardly recognise him! Having lunch with her, looking after baby a bit, then after school we are going to see GDs drama group show. If baby plays up, DD or I can take him out and GD will still have someone to watch her! Looking forward to seeing GD and GS2. I will see GS1 on Friday
