Little one fed, washed, read to & cuddled now fast asleep. Followed his new sleep routine ...much easier & not back braking. Fingers crossed he sleeps through. Night all.😴"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

The sofa and armchairs are cream leather and the furniture light oak, so we're trying to decide on things like cushions and throws now, plus new light fittings. I'll have to do new pictures/canvasses for the walls as well, as the existing ones will look wrong.
Nanto - what colour are your new curtains?

Nana, fingers crossed for your GS and mine!
He used to be such a good boy for bed, and staying in bed at least until early morning. He hasn't been lately though, so I am expecting a disturbed night.
Mind you, my out and out bribe is that if he stays in bed he can come into bed with us in the morning for drink, biscuit AND watching our new bedroom TV“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Daisy I don't think Polished Pebble looks dark at all. The overall colour will be determined by what colour you are painting over. If your skirting boards and window sill and frames are white it will reflect lots of light . I think it will look lovely, especially with the curtains and the light oak furniture. It sounds as if it will have a clean, fresh but relaxed mood about it.Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning, ladies.
Nanto - I'd love to be brave enough to do a feature wall, but I think I might get fed up with it too quickly! Your new curtains sound gorgeous - look forward to seeing a photo when they're up.
Mimi - thank you kind lady. We're painting over Natural Calico - a very low key nearly white sort of shade. The woodwork is white, and the room faces south and north so is quite light anyway, but I can never have enough light in our grey climate!! It was a hard choice not to stick with blue, which feels safe and calm, so fingers crossed it's ok.

Good morning everyone. Sun is shining, GS was a good boy I went in to him during the night as I heard him coughing, but he told me he was OK! He got his promised TV in bed this morning. This morning he plans more 'fireman training ' . This entails us telling him what is on fire and him liberally soaking it with the garden hose. Yesterday the garden, patio and GS got very wet. He is on antibiotics for an ear infection. Luckliy he seems to have suffered no ill effects!
