Libra Gran, would it be too much trouble to put recipe on for the fruit cake please? My OHs favourite too but I never seem to end up with a moist cake. If not, never mind.😊

I really do hope baby M doesn't catch the bug from her brother. Have you heard whether he's been able to keep the milk down yet - poor little chap must have been starving hungry."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

The winter vomiting bug has struck!! My father-in-law is currently in hospital (has been there since end of November!) and we have now had the news that norovirus is rife on the ward! The hospital is for specialist elderly care and there are only two wards so are advising against visiting. My mother's move into a care home from the main hospital was delayed as she had to be tested for norovirus too!! Fortunately, we heard today that she tested negative so she will only be a day late!

Oh, that is all bad news Ragdoll! Good to know at least your mother tested negative. When my dad was in nursing home they had norovirus, and we couldn't visit him. Luckily he escaped it.
Good to see you here Ragdoll, you seem to have a lot going on at the moment.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Had a call this morning baby J is still bad he has kept his milk down but bodily fluids at the other end are pretty dire she had to change her bed again at 2.30 this morning she has had an hours sleep, he has bad cramps is pulling his legs up all the time, so on granny duty again picking M up and taking her for the day so she can wash the bedding and hopefully have a sleep with Joseph in bed. It will feel really strange taking one baby for a walk!. Daisy what a day for you bet you felt really annoyed that you hadn't heard the phone. Sorry about all the folk on here not well also hope we all get back to some normality soon, hope it doesn't visit us !

Qwerty, your DIL must be exhausted, and upset and worried about poor little J. What a good job she's got you to help, and taking M out for the day will give her chance to catch up with the washing and perhaps nap when he's napping. I don't know how GD1 is yet today - I'll ring later.
Ragdoll - poor you. Everything happens at once and norovirus is really horrible.
It's a beautiful sunny day here today, so let's hope better weather is on its way and we all start to feel better again."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Get well soon poorly ones!
Taking M is the best thing you could do for DIL, Qwerty. I think it will be nice to have just one of the babies for a while! I think I mentioned once that friend of mine who had twins (now grown up) always arranged for each Grandma to have a twin each.Made their job much easier, and nice for them to bond with one baby at a time. I hope little J is soon better, poor lamb xx
I have had a bit of reprieve re collecting GD from school with GS in tow, worried that he will fall asleep in the car. OH is now free, so will come with me. If he falls asleep she can stay in the car with him The sun is out here, it's lovely!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
