Good morning. It feels a bit cooler than the past few mornings, not cold though.

Oma, I would have thought that a complimentary drink would have been offered.

We are going to the farm shop today. I like to get our steak from there. Its a bit pricier but hey ho. We like to have a coffee there as well.
Then on to the garden centre. I always get a few bits from the shop. I also need a birthday card. We will have dinner there.

    Have a good day ladies.

Oma, what a dreadful service your DD and Sil had. I am sure they were pleased and tired to get home. I am sure all their animals were pleased to see them although they were well looked after.

Nanto, that sounds like a nice day planned.

        Good morning everyone.

It's worth paying more for a good steak from a farm shop Nan2.

Oma, I wonder if there is any compensation for DD and SIL on their travel insurance? Sometimes there is for a certain amount of delay. They should have been offered something by the airline. I know it wasn't their fault as such, but they are supposed to look after their passengers.

It looks another sunny day here at the moment. No real plans. I want to buy a balloon from the card shop for GS3's birthday, and we need to shop for the food for tomorrow night. Just 2 friends coming for meal after their holiday. We have GS3's birthday party to go to earlier tomorrow so we want to get the food prep done today and push the hoover and floor steamer round (if it's not too hot!)

        Happy Saturday ladies.

          Morning everyone

          Plant
Awful service , I know they all had trouble but they should have had water at least on board ,
Storm was besides himself when he saw DD coming up the drive 🤣
Hope you’re less sore today , how are you doing ? Xx

          Nanto
Enjoy Your lunch out , B likes the steak from our farm shop too as you say a bit pricey but so much better quality.

Been to Morrisons for them opening ,
Im now going to stitch together all the toys Storm murdered and put them in the wash they stink , he won’t be happy when he smells them all clean again 😁

          Gem
I don’t think there will be as it wasn’t the airlines fault but they could have looked after the passengers better.
enjoy your day whatever you do , hope you find the balloon you need , these babies birthdays are coming around too quickly 😁❤️

Goovd morning, that was a long wait Oma, I always thought that 3 hours was the limit.

I was just reading that there are so many problems caused by the crash!

It is far too hot here,30+, thunder forecast tomorrow so that should cool it down.

I went for some more blackberries and I have got some jam made, there are already so many ripe ones.

A lovely photo of your GS2 Oma, they seem to grow so fast!

A photo of the GD's, also growing to fast!!! 33e7297e-0288-43b6-a492-bd0c1d0ad466.jpg

              Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Oma, I heard a comment on the news that the airlines consider the outage as an 'exceptional event' and they're not liable for compensation. Of course they could always make a goodwill payment, but I suppose it's equally likely that pigs will fly. Your GS2 seems to have grown up overnight. What a lovely surprise to see him.

Lizzie, your GDs look so grown-up and very elegant young ladies. Our blackberries aren't ripe yet. I hope the heat doesn't wear you out too much. We live very close to Bournemouth. It's still nice, but sadly not the rather gentile retirement haven it used to be. OH and I like Weymouth and often stay nearby in the caravan. It's more of a traditional seaside town than either Bournemouth or Brighton.

Gem, enjoy a relaxing day. Tomorrow sounds much busier with GS3's birthday and visitors. Your little man is growing up far too quickly, isn't he, but I bet he'll love his birthday. Has he got a themed cake?

Plant, the HW John Lewis sounds closer than I thought it was. I hope you're taking it easy if it's as warm as yesterday. It's cooler and cloudy here.

I'd booked a Sainbsurys delivery for 9-10 this morning, not wanting to get up at the crack of dawn. I went to get a shower about 8.15 and there was no hot water! I can recommend a cold shower if you want a rude awakening in a morning!! Then Sainsburys arrived just after 8.30! After Gem's experience with Tesco after their holiday I wondered if I could just ignore them and they'd come back at the proper time! Fortunately OH was up and had even had a cold shave. We rang our lovely heatinng engineers and one of them came straight out (and wouldn't even invoice us) but he couldn't fix the problem, and as it's covered by the guarantee we need to get the installers in. The boiler is leaking water and a valve or something is leaking, and the fuse box for the boiler is worn. Hopefully it will be fixed on Tuesday, and at least we can use the immersion heater. Just glad it's now and not when we've got family staying before the funeral.

I hope I can get out and do some gardening today - much needed, we must have the healthiest weeds in the country!

What a pain having no hot water , Glamms DD Angie has the same problem.
Not nice a cold shower and shaving in cold water isn’t good either , Hope J’s face isn’t sore.

Allstorms toys repaired washed and hanging on the line , they smell a lot better😁

B has sanded and painted the living room window sill that storms big claws scratched,

Its very stuffy still, I have a thin dress on and I’m still uncomfortable, shouldn’t complain it’s better than rain .

Thanks ladies, Daisy, DS1 and family took me to the UK for my 60th, we did the same seaside resorts and all loved Weymouth.

I wish I could have a thin dress on Oma, the sleeves and tights are a ####! Never mind, there are worse things to put up with.

Gorgeous photo of the girls Lizzie. It seems no time since you sent me C's newborn photo!

Brr Daisy I don't fancy a cold shower, although I think it's meant to be good for us!

It's a bit cooler here this afternoon, it was very hot indeed this morning. DD1 called in this morning as she was shopping in our village. It was lovely to have a chat over a cuppa in the garden. She only had 2 more days of the chemo cream on her arm, so that's good.

I got a Teletubbies balloon for GS as he loves them. I think his cake will be LaLa, his favourite teletubbie. I think you asked about the cake Daisy.

I will update on that thread about the ongoing saga of OH's glasses!

my friend is having her legs bandaged every day as they are starting to weep and break open .
These are different compression bandages , she said they are so tight and hot , she’s feeling really miserable in this heat ,

They are making a difference but painful and she’s not sleeping poor woman ,
I hate seeing her so down but fingers crossed another few days and they can stop .

                        Gem
Isnt it strange how all the generations love the teletubbies,
I bet he will love his birthday cake 😁

DD came this afternoon she had brought us a big bottle of lemoncello,
Storm wasn’t happy seeing his toys on the line , he sat watching them then came in and looked at me before running back out .
I gave in and got his favourite down even though it wasn’t quite dry 😁

Those compression bandages will be so warm, are they wraps with velcro ?

I am going to get undressed now and get mine off, which is a workout when it is so warm!!!

Its been warm today, but a bit cooler than the last couple of days.
We had a shower about 6.30, lasted for about 10 minutes.
