Good morning, I have been for the first blackberries, managed to fall, flat on my back!! Getting up was a problem but I coped. My knee is a bit sore, and my pride!

The only plan I have today is going for my massage. No school pick up as GS2 is going to his friends for an end of term sleepover.

Last day of dog DD gets home after lunch so no tea time walk today.
Dog walker will take him this morning and we will see to cats give a hoover round and that’s it for my fur baby and fish duties .

Good Friday morning, everyone. The sun's shining here and it feels like a 'proper' summer day!

Lizzie, Those blackberries look lovely and juicy. What are you going to use them for - or will you freeze them for later? It sounds as though you could do with a bit of TLC in more ways than one. Take care of yourself, and give yourself a little treat. I hope our DS1 and family enjoy their trip to the UK. I like Brighton - apart from the pebbly beach.

Nanto, pleased to see you finally got to the pub and enjoyed OH's birthday meal.

Gem, it will feel as though you're on holiday again - sunshine, a massage and the rest of the day free.

Oma, it will be quiet without Storm, but you won't miss dog hairs everywhere. Have DD and family had a good holiday?

Daisy, the JL just outside HW is the one near to me, very nice shop just off motorway, good parking, good restaurant.

Oma, I suppose it will take you days to get rid of the dog hairs and nose smears but he is worth it.

They have loved every minute , they went on a pizza making course , DD said they are made and taste nothing like ours.
SIL has a huge pizza oven in the back garden we are going to be treated to authentic pizzas apparently 😁

How are you feeling today ?
Yes takes a few days to get rid of the hair and nose drools, plus I have to re pain my window sill in the sitting room , he had it all scratched jumping up to see the cats outside 🙄

Its very warm at the minute ,
Went to see to cats cleaned the litter tray then hoovered my back is killing how my DD pushes that hoover is a mystery it’s even heavier than mine .
While I did that B went and posted card and a parcel for me ,

Hes just took the dog cover off the back seats now he’s hoovering the car ,
These dog covers save a lot of hair getting on the seats and they are safer he can’t fall into the foot well as they attach to the back and front seats like a hammock.

I have frozen these blackberries in Daisy, I love them in my quark in the morning.

DS and family are first in Brighton, then onto Bournemouth and finishing off in Weymouth.

Plant, I hope you are feeling better now after the fall. We will have to be more careful.!

It is cloudy today, very warm and humid though.

Nanto, you would enjoy the pub meal. No cooking.

A young man from the village, boy, he was 16 years young, was killed yesterday evening whilst delivering food orders, they are always in such a hurry on those bikes, poor boy.

This morning i tidied the drawers in the big freezer and made a bit of space.
Filled the space with rhubarb from the garden.
I'll make some pies after the weekend,they take less room.

We've just been sat in the garden with a cup of tea and buttered fruit scones. We sat in the shade.

DD and family have been sitting on the plane since 12 o’clock it’s now 5 o’clock , said it’s like a oven they waiting to see if they can get a slot ,
Only been offered two small glasses of water , no air con ,
I would have passed out by now .

Had a lovely afternoon GS2 surprised us he’s a fine boy so grown up

Been a hot one here....still is! I ended up sitting on my swing in the shade finishing a book!

Had an optician's appointment this morning, needless to say I ned new glasses! However, they're going to change the lens in my sunglasses, so that kept the cost down a bit! Popped over to see DD with some flowers as she's had this chest infection. She wasn't in, by her OH was working from home and GS had been sent home from school. Went down to her parade of shops to go to the greengrocer and met her there. Sat outside the cafe with a coffee, spent too much money in the greengrocer, dropped her off home and have spent most of the afternoon in the garden.

Not sure what to have for dinner, don't really feel like eating when it's this warm.

Plant, glad you enjoyed the scones and jam! I only rang the doorbell once as I thought you might be taking it easy!

Daisy, I'd like to paint my cupboard a dark blue with lighter blue walls! That's the plan anyway!!

WG it’s boiling here , to hot to do anything , even the dog doesn’t want to go out , he’s laying on the kitchen floor in the cool .

Thats ridiculous sat on a plane for 5 hours.

DD finally home Landed just after 8 ,
no food on the plane they had ran out so all they had all day was a croissant for breakfast .
Said no water and if they wanted anything to drink other than water they had to pay for it ,
Disgraceful they could have gave drinks complementary considering the time they sat on the plane
