Hallo everyone, dry at the moment but thunder storms forecast, I will be on the bike when they come!!! I am going to the cookery workshop.

I love the huge bed for the dog Oma.

Daisy, you would be pleased to see your DS making an improvement, he would be pleased to see you both.

I don't know if I mentioned before but we get a 13 month OAP, holiday money it is called, we received that yesterday and today I got my tax returns so I can pay myself back for my Mac!!! More left as well, luckily.

      Daisy it’s SILs Grandmother that’s died ,
My leg is fine walking it’s when I put my feet up and when I lay in bed , so I think it’s the way my knee or ankle moves.
Pleased to hear that the physio seems to be helping your DS even if it is tiring him out ,
How is DIL is she ok ?

      Lizzie
      A nice little bonus there.
Hope you don’t get too wet .

Oma, Storms new bed looks comfy.
It does make a change having a pub meal,we enjoyed ours today.

Lizzie, well done for the tax returns and OAP holiday money.

Daisy, glad DS can feel the benefits of the phtsio.

Before we went out i got the grass cut.Did a load of darks.
Hung them out and almost dry when i brought them in.
Packed what i had to for the freezer.
All i wanted to do then was get showered.

Oma, sorry to hear your leg is still giving you pain, I wonder what is causing it. Lovely to have a meal out. Lamb for Storm, he will gobble that up fast. We are having a lot of problems with sink holes in the village, apparently old pond sites. One they have been trying to fill for years. Nothing on the market for GD and partner Oma. People don’t seem to be moving, lots of people increasing the size of their houses instead. Sil, blasted all the garden furniture yesterday, looking very smart but I suppose it needs oiling now. N Trust meeting this afternoon, talk by Lady Howe.

Daisy, I hope you found your DS in good spirits, I am sure he was so pleased to be home and pleased to see you.

Gemini, busy with GS’s as usual. You are certainly a hands on GM, perhaps some me time due soon.

Nanto, Broc. Is my favourite vegetable, it keeps for a long time in my fridge. I don’t freeze veg and when I feel it needs to be used I cook it all and put it in a white sauce with pasta and serve it with either hard boiled eggs (also to use up) or ham that is close to date. Difficult catering when you are cooking for one and I am not a massive salad fan.

            Been a tense afternoon ,
My niece the one who has the Stoma and had another operation on Wednesday , had to be taken into ICU ,
Shes having trouble breathing. They think it’s pneumonia, they said if her breathing doesn’t improve they will have to put her into a induced coma and ventilate to allow her body to rest and stop the strain on her heart ,

We are all so worried about her , she’s only 38. bless her she’s gone through some problems in the past few years .

Oma, you must be very worried about your niece. I'm sure they will monitor her very closely, and I hope she's soon on the mend. xx. Storm's new bed looks luxurious! We bought a really soft squashy one for Eva about a year or so ago, and within a week she'd trashed it. She wouldn't even lie on it let alone sleep! It ended up on the bin.

Sink holes are quite frightening, aren't they. They can appear so suddenly and can be catastrophic. Plant, are the pond sink holes in your village caused by man-made ponds?

Plant, it must be difficult to cook for one, and not everything is suitable for batch cooking and freezing. But it sounds as though you are well-organised with using things up.

Nanto, you have been a busy bee. Still, it's a nice feeling when you've got all the jobs done and can have a nice shower or bath and relax for the rest of the day.

Lizzie, I hope you avoided the thunderstorm when you were out. What a lovely idea the 13 month pension is. Even better if you got a tax rebate as well.

I seem to have had a busy day doing nothing much. I've done a bit of dusting and hoovering, bit being the key word! Then some online shopping - tops and crop trousers. Did the god food order for next week and Sainsbury's for tomorrow. It was quite chilly until late afternoon. OH has been working on the patio, with wonderful help from our neighbour. OH and I sat in the garden with a glass of wine before dinner. It's always a good time and place to have a chat. Just off to take Eva out before it's pitch dark.

Oma, all best wishes for your niece, poor girl. It must be so worrying for you all

Daisy, I bet your visit did your DS and DIL good.

Lots going on. DD1 seems at the end of her tether with GS1's problems. Things got even worse this week as his beloved guinea pig died and his grommets op is cancelled due to his BMI being too high

On a more cheerful note OH had a good holiday and is back safe and sound. GS2 and I went to the library on the way home and just after we got home OH did.

Good morning. The sun is shining.

Going to the farm shop, and then to the garden centre, have a browse and eat there.

Gem,sorry to hear about GS1 guinea pig and his operation being cancelled.
Tough time for him and his mum. Hope things get better for them soon.

Glad OH had a good golfing holiday.

Oma, hoping for some good news about your niece.

                          Morning everyone

                          Nanto
Enjoy your day out , we need to go to our farm shop for bits but just haven’t had time this week ,

                          Gem
                          Pleased S is back safely
Poor GS that’s the problem with having pets and the heartbreak when they die.
I think this BMI in children is just an excuse, your GS isn’t massively overweight is he poor lad . Maybe these days going private is the way if you can afford it ,
Hes going into secondary school in September isn’t he ? Would have been good to get them sorted before then.

                          Daisy
Storm likes his bed sometimes ,
He is always rubbing his nose in it and licking it , he just chooses to sleep in some funny places and positions at times.
I think the bed gets too hot for him .

My two nieces stayed at the hospital with Karen till the early hours of this morning ,
My oldest niece rang the ward about 5 minutes ago. Karen was settled they will know more when Dr does his rounds .

GS coming for breakfast shortly before work so better get that sorted , he likes the full works but like me without the egg 😁

GD2 has invited a young man who they shared a flat with for the weekend. . GS2 and his wife are coming for the weekend too. I said to DD you will have a house full again and she said she will not be here she is off to a pottery class for the day. Good for her I say. Just had a Face Time with GD1 and H, they were in the garden in the sunshine.

Oma, I hope your niece will be more comfortable and able to go home soon, very worrying. enjoy your day.

Gemini, so sorry your GS1’s op was cancelled, what more can that young man take. Hope he isn’t too upset about the guinea pig.

Nanto, have a lovely day out, hope you have sunshine.

Daisy, I do occasionally batch cook chicken casserole in the slow cooker. I am going to M&S Foodhall this morning, I will pick up some chicken and veg. Have a lovely day, will it be in the garden?

They have taken the decision to put Niece to sleep and put her on a ventilator as she’s struggling ,
We are all so worried ,
her DS is staying with his Grandmother , he’s 19 and could stay at home himself but the family don’t want him to be on his own .

                                Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, isn't it lovely to see the sun! It's not baking hot, but just seeing everywhere looking bright and sunny is a tonic. Are you shopping and then eating out?

Gem, I'm sure you're pleased to have S home again - even if it does mean a sports-fest on the television. I'm glad she had a good time. Was the weather good? Poor GS1 losing his guinea pig so suddenly (does he know yet?) It might help him to have a little funeral for it. I think Oma's right about GS's cancelled op. BMI is a bit of a blunt instrument I think, because some people are just bigger boned, and muscle weights more than fat and BMI doesn't differentiate. He really could do with getting his grommets before he starts secondary school, poor lad.

Oma, I do hope you get good news about Karen today. I can imagine how worried how whole family is, but I'm sure it would have helped K if she knew your other two nieces were there for her. How is your leg today? Did GS enjoy his breakfast - I bet that's set him up for the day. Well, at least until lunch-time.
I can imagine a bed being too hot for Storm sometimes, but he probably likes the comfort as well. It amazes me how dogs can sleep in such crazy ways. Cooper often lies with his head in his bed and the rest of him sprawled across the floor! Eva usually sleeps curled up, quite neatly.

Plant, good for your DD, going on the pottery course today. I'm sure all the visitors will look after themselves and nobody will starve. I'm sure H really enjoys being out in the garden. Does she chatter a lot when you Face Time with them? Having portions of something like chicken casserole in the freezer is great. Easy to pull out and reheat when you don't feel like cooking. Yes, I've done a couple of loads of washing, so now off into the garden to deal with some weeds.

OH is still working on the patio. A neighbour helped him with regrouting between the flags yesterday but they have done less than half so far, and our neighbour is't feeling well today. But what they've done looks much better. They've put dark grey sand/cement in, instead of the awful gritty bright tan stuff the landscapers had used.
