Daisy I'm glad you still have the sunshine
Well done to your GD Lizzie!
Library was fairly quiet regarding customers, but we had plenty of jobs to do.
It hasn't rained any more, but it's a lot cooler. Back to a top with sleeves!
Daisy I have ordered myself 2 ready meals on the supermarket order. I had a baked potato the first night, ate out last night and will have salmon one night, ready meals on the other 2 nights. I decided if OH was eating out every night in the sunny Algarve, I wasn't cooking for myself every night I may have also ordered some Malters .

The sun is out now
GS1 in a rubbish mood. I kind of expected it as DD told me he was very reluctant to go to school today ( not an unusual occurrence) His mum, and dad to a lesser extent, suffer this but he's not usually like this with me. I'm afraid I told him I'm not mummy and at least expect a hello or I will be ignoring him as he was me. Not very adult of me and I'm a bit ashamed of myself, but I don't see why I should put up with behaviour I wouldn't have done from my own children.
I will say more about GS on a separate thread once he's gone home. I have wanting to start a thread for a while now.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I’m here lurking ladies!
Sorry not been contributing much lately but for the last couple of weeks I’ve had the worst cold I can ever remember having.Goodness knows where I got it from as I hadn’t been anywhere apart from walks in the days before the sore throat started!I didn’t have a temperature so just nursed myself with drinks painkillers and rest. Also negative Covid test.Loads better now and back to helping my lady with the housework after two weeks of being unable to go.
I’ve been wondering about Enfys too.
Gem I’m sorry about your GS being in an unhappy mood. He must have had a really bad day. Do you think he might tell you about it when he feels a bit better?
I’m sorry if some of you have had mixed weather. It’s been wall to wall sunshine for quite a while here. Very frustrating when I was feeling ill and couldn’t get out in the garden. However rain is forecast tomorrow and the garden really needs it.I have to go for a blood test but at least I won’t cook on the bus!

Clover, it's lovely to hear from you but it sounds as though that cold has really knocked you out. No wonder you didn't feel like posting. It sounds as though you are on the mend, but take it easy and look after yourself. xx. I hope the good weather comes back so you can get out and enjoy it.
Gem, poor GS1 - he's obviously got something on his mind, but I agree, with what you said to him, and he needs to know where he stands. There are ways to share worries, frustrations and unhappiness without ignoring those who love him. You definitely deserve some teatime treats while S is away.
Oma, glad the car problem was just an update. Eva doesn't notice mud - she just ploughs on regardless!
It hasn't been as warm or as sunny as yesterday, but it only started to rain about an hour ago. I got a bit of gardening done, and went down the village to post a card abroad and collect a prescription of OH. Just off to cook dinner now.

Nanto, I hope your sis-in-law finds it interesting, but the article does stress there are no quick fixes, and anyone who tells you there is is pulling your leg. But gentle persuasion, and little and often training do help."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning. Raining this morning. I think there is quite a bit of rain to come.
Not much happening today, fridge cleaning and tidy the drawers on both freezers, ready for the shopping coming tomorrow.
morrow.Got a bit of ironing to do.
Salad for dinner with mini fish fillets. I saw the mini fillets advertised in a magazine a couple of weeks ago,so i got them in my last shop.
They are Birds Eye, so should be OK.
We like something hot on a salad.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

What a disappointment this morning when I opened the blinds , it’s absolutely pouring down with rain.
We had a very eventful weekend. Saturday eldest GS and his girlfriend picked us up and took us to DS and DIL’s house for a family get together, apparently DS and DIL had gone shopping so no one was at home when we arrived. A few mins later GS said they have just pulled into the driveway but he said they don’t have any bags with them .
They came into the house claiming that the traffic had been chaotic because of a few traffic accidents and that’s why we were late.
We chatted for a few minutes when suddenly the back door was flung opened and in came GD saying “Did you miss me “
Absolute chaos broke out , I was crying, GS was crying OH was welling up. We hadn’t seen GD since last January as she had been travelling solo around parts of Asia.
DS and DIL had kept her coming home as a surprise.
Over the next hour more family members and friends arrived all equally surprised with her arrival.
It was a wonderful evening I haven’t cried so much in a long time
Sunday was another lovely day, late Saturday evening I had a message from DD saying that they would be coming over on Sunday afternoon. She had booked a table in the pub by us for lunch.
On their arrival two youngest GS’s struggled in carrying a large box, it was a birthday present for OH, a solar lamp post for the garden OH was thrilled.
Yesterday eldest GS came here for lunch and today GD is coming here for a catch up and to tell us all about her travels as on Saturday it was far to chaotic to chat for any amount of time.
Plant I also keep getting logged out
Has anyone heard anything from Enfys
Clover good to hear that you’re feeling better
I have been on a bit of a shopping spree ( On line obviously as , apart from M and S we have vey little in the way of any kind of clothes shops for the ‘older lady’ in town) I have brought clothes from Cotton Traders and Bonmarche. A few pairs of trousers, t- shirts and blouses. I had become tired of my old clothes and I thought that a change was desperately needed .
What I like about Cotton Traders is the fact that their sizes are constant and, if, for example trousers are a 27 inch leg , all their trousers are 27in leg , not as in some online shops , various lengths of what they claim to be 27in !
Have a good day everyone and try and keep dry
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi, what a lovely surprise to see GD.
I always get my trousers from Bon Marche,as they do a leg length of 25",then i don't have to shorten them.
Fridge has been cleaned and drawers tidied up in both freezers.
Coffee time now.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Morning ladies
Mimi
What a wonderful surprise, that must be the best day ever 😁
I bet she can’t wait to give you all her news ,I think I would have bawled my eyes out 😁
Im like Nanto a size. 25 inside leg so anywhere that has consistency in length is a good place to shop😁
Nanto
We cleaned our freezer drawers out yesterday and found two Birds Eye fish burgers we forgot we had ,
Let me know what the mini fillets are like.
Clover
Its been a nasty bug going around, so pleased your feeling better,
B had it and a chest infection , he felt rubbish so I can imagine how you felt xx
Gem
Any news from S how’s the tournament going?
GS has been doing a mini tournament with a bunch of friends over 3 days , they will get wet today with this weather.
Plant
I had that problem last week , I re booted my lap top but no luck then all of a sudden I was back on.
Its wall to wall rain here and dark.
we going shopping but will be there and back in no time.
My niece who had to have the Stoma is back in surgery this morning ,
The stoma keeps herniating so they fitting a sort of mush cage around it to prevent that happening .
She should be going down soon she’s the only one on the list for this morning.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.
Nanto, you've got all your jobs done early today! Still, it means you can relax and enjoy any visitors you get today, or hopefully sitting in the garden.
Mimi, what a wonderful surprise for all the family. I bet your GD has fantastic tales to tell about her travels. You and Mr Mimi must have wondered what the youngest GSs were bringing into the house. Glad the Birthday Boy liked the present. Things will seem really quiet after so much excitement.
I feel the same about clothes at the moment. I need a clear out and an update. I changed into a clean pair of trousers to pop down to the village after gardening yesterday, and although I regard them as 'almost new' they are actually over 10 years old! I dread to think how old my 'old' clothes really are! I like Cotton Traders as well. I've just bought two nice summery tops from Romans, and I also find Land's End good. They all seem to be consistent sizes. We've got a very good privately-owned department store where DS2 lives and I went in there recently and felt like an alien. Racks and racks of clothes suitable for ladieswotlunch. Perhaps I need to smarten up a bit.
Oma, your poor niece must be a bit fed up with problems with her stoma. I hope the op goes well today and she doesn't have any more problems with it herniating. Do you think GS's mini tournament will get called off with the weather?
Gem, I'm sure it must be very quiet at home with S away (not saying she's noisy, but I know what it's like when J is away). Have you got a relaxing day ahead?
Enfys and I had planned to meet up for a coffee after Christmas, but with one family thing and another I have found it difficult to make firm commitments to anyone. I had to drop out of our regular college lunch get togethers last week, and coffee with some local friends. I know she understands, and I hope she's ok and is just too busy to chat on here. xx
It's dull, damp and chilly here today - lots of rain overnight, so I don't know if OH will get anything done on the patio. There's no dog training today, but I have to take something over to DS2. I'll take Eva with me and then she and Cooper can play together. They always tire each other out!
