Turned out to be a beautiful day here after a bit of a gloomy morning.

Been and got my hair cut in readiness for my trip to Turkey. Got the necessary sun tan lotion, mozzie deterrent, local currency etc. Had a moan in Boots because they've put in self service tills which I hate. Think I moaned so much that the assistant did it all for me! I wasn't the only person moaning either!

Thought I'd relax in the garden when I came home, but next door is laying new decking so the saw was screeching, there was some kind of dance class on at the hall with pounding music so I came back indoors to the quiet!

Keeping fingers crossed for decent weather on Friday when I'm off to Legoland with the children I hear reading. We're all very excited!!!

Have a good evening ladies whatever you're up to! x

Good morning. A bit overcast but it might brighten up like it did yesterday.

WG, enjoy your trip to Legoland and your trip to Turkey.

Just kitchen cleaning this morning and get some washing in.

Dinner is baby potatoes, cod in breadcrumbs, veg and parsley sauce.

Oh and hairdresser coming this morning to sort us both out.

          Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Just a quick 'hello' from me. We're going up to see DS1 and family, but have to drop Eva off at DS2's first. It looks like rain is forecast for this afternoon - not good for our half-done patio. OH is getting all the grouting out because it's breaking up and looks a mess. So there's this horrible gritty sandy-stuff everywhere. I hope it doesn't "set" in the rain.

Have a good day ladies, I'll catch up when I can. xx

            Morning everyone

            Nanto
same kind of day for me nothing exciting.

            WG
Hope you have decent weather on Friday for Lego land , when do you fly to Turkey?

            Daisy
Have a nice day with the family fingers crossed with the patio , Im sure J will sort it.

B going to MILs himself this morning , we have the dog today instead of tomorrow as DD & DGs are in Leeds.
The national grid is doing something or other and they have to be there to give them access to the flat.

We could take the dog to MILs but wouldn’t hear the last of the moans if he left even one hair ,
She does the same with his two sisters dogs , says it’s ok to take them then spends the rest of the week moaning about them.

I will get on with cleaning the kitchen cupboard doors if I feel like it , I don’t know yet I might just be lazy 😁

              Good morning all.

I'm sure DS and DIL will be glad to see you both Daisy. I hope the grit doesn't set!

Not worth taking the dog to MIL if there are so many moans Oma!

I'd be excited by the trip to Legoland too WG Volunteers don't usually get the more unruly children in their groups either!

You will be very smart with your electric gates Nan2.

The afternoon tea style lunch yesterday was lovely. We had a really nice afternoon. We were outside for the first hour then drizzle drove us in!

I had such a bad night sleep, I'm exhausted. Of course it had to happen when I have a full-on day! Baby GS3 all day and OH only here this morning then off to golf until around 7. As soon as GS3 is collected I have to drive over to sit with GS1 so his mum can go to the theatre.

Good morning, I have been to the market in Delft on the bike, it did rain on the way home, but, I enjoyed the ride. I got some more material for GD1, plus my cheese, there are 3 cheese stalls on the market, I have been going to this one for years, he is good and cheap compared to the others, there is always a queue unless I go at 8am but then my material man hasn't got his stall set out, I was walking round and felt sorry for the other 2 cheese stalls!!! I got some cheese for my neighbour as well, she was really pleased, she came yesterday afternoon for coffee, had her eyes done for cataract a fortnight ago, both at the same time, she had to go yesterday and one has to be done over again, so, she has to go again next week.

First I am doing coffee for a meeting this afternoon then straight out for a meal.

Gem, you will be shattered by the end of the day.

Oma, I hope all goes well at your MIL's.

Daisy, the same for you at DS1.

Wee Granny, you are a busy lady, a good thing, it keeps you occupied

Nanto, are they wide electric gates? DS2 has wide ones, well one actually.

I will get some sewing done.

Daisy, I hope you have a good trip to see DS and family. Not sure what the forecast is.

Oma, Good idea not taking the dog if Mil is going to moan later. Sometimes I wander around and wonder what I should do then do nothing.

Nanto, your lunch is just up my street, I could eat fish at every meal.

GD coming this afternoon to do my cleaning, I am going to clean the windows inside before she comes, I don’t want to get in her way. Just been to the opticians, I thought she was going to say I need a cataract op but she said probably in two years. Goodness me, what a price glasses are but needs must.

Lizzie, I do miss not doing some project on my sewing machine but I think those days are over. I am thinking of getting rid of my sewing machine.

All the family are planning to go to the Normandy house in August and they have asked me if I want to go too. I have said yes please.

Oh I'm pleased for you Plant, something to look forward to.

Lizzie, you must be very fit with your cycling, aqua and the rest!

I just walked into the open dishwasher door with my new knee! Theres a bit of a red mark next to the scar but I think it's OK.
I'm just watching Teletubbies with GS before his nap

Plant, a nice holiday for you to look forward to.

Ooops Gem, glad the knee doesn't seem too bad. How is the dishwasher.

Would you believe the sun has come out, after being overcast and cold all day.

We got back home about an hour ago. The weather there was better than here and we were able to sit in the garden all afternoon, which was lovely, and DS is saying how much he's enjoying being outside after two weeks in hospital with no natural light. GS2 is still on holiday from work, so it was good to see him as well.

We went straight from there to pick Eva up from DS2's and stayed for a cup of tea. It was great to see both GDs as well. Eva and Cooper had exhausted each other!

When we got home we realised we hadn't had an evening meal (obviously not very hungry) so I made us a sandwich and another cup of tea then remembered I hadn't done the Sainsbury's order for tomorrow - just finished it but I'm sure I've forgotten things.

Definitely bed time now, though. Night, night everyone. x

                          Good morning.

I was hoping to cut the grass this morning, but the weather says no.

Daisy, how lovely for DS being able to sit outside. Nice for you to see GS as well.

Not sure what I'm doing this morning. Did all jobs inside yesterday, thinking we would be gardening this morning.
Hubby out for a couple of hours, so I'll have the morning to myself.

Braising steak and onions, mash and veg for dinner.

                            Good morning everyone.

Daisy, you were tired yesterday , I hope you slept well xx

Nan2, not easy to plan gardening with the weather this year!

Reflexology for me this morning, school pick up for GS2 this afternoon. We are both busy tomorrow so OH will be packing today, for her golf trip to Portugal on Sunday . I'm not at all jealous of course

                            Happy Friday everyone.

I think that’s the only way I enjoy steak , done in the oven with onions and gravy ,
We put thin slices of potato on ours about 30 minutes before it’s done
                              Enjoy😁

I bet your DS felt so much more relaxed in the garden , how is he in himself?
I hope you slept well and didn’t forget anything on your order xx

Ouch, how is your knee today? Hope no damage apart from I imagine a bruise xx

B has his check up at the Freemans today,
We we’re hoping they would discharge him , but he has a chest infection,
Tried to get a Drs appointment no luck but they made an appointment for 6.30 last night at Primary care for him.
A very nice lady Dr put him on Antibiotics,
So the hospital may not release him this time , we will have to wait and see , have to be there for 1.30 .

Poor B, I hope the antibiotics work quickly for him.
Strangely I have a bruise lower, on my shin but jut a red mark next to the scar! I will survive. My legs look even more hideous than usual though
