      Good morning Nan2 and everyone.

Have a lovely meal tonight Nan2.

Hopefully Storm will be back on form soon Oma.

Will you paint again today Daisy?

      Very misty morning here.
This afternoon we are going to see my sister and take her presents for her birthday next week.
OH has a golf meeting this morning.

DD1's birthday today. GS has taken her breakfast up to bed to her. They are going to London later, and staying in an aibnb.
Last night he made his mum a lovely card. With 48 on it

Good morning, very dull here at the moment.

GD2 is 15 years old today! How time flies!

GD1 phoned me yesterday, she had dropped her Oyster card on the metro tracks! The first thing I told her was to leave it there then get in touch to cancel the card, easier said than done, she hadn't registered it in her account as yet! I did happen to have a photo that she sent me so that I could register it, I am not allowed to do anything without her permission with her being over 18 now. She finally got it all settled and there is a replacement on the way, yet again. I see so many cards being found on our local site, it must be a modern day thing!

This morning I have lost an earring in my bedroom, how I do not know, then, emptied my washer to find I have washed a tissue as well !!!

We haven't had the frost Oma, just a bitter cold wind.

          Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, breakfast in bed with a nice hot cup of tea or coffee look perfect, even for frogs (toads?). Enjoy your trip into town - will you have a coffee or something with DS2? Enjoy the 60th birthday meal tonight. Will you be wearing your dress?

Oma, we woke up to a heavy frost, but then it rained and now there's a watery sun. Enjoy your morning with your friends. Printers are such a pain - I hope B can get theirs connected ok. I bet GS and his mates will have a great time. How times change though - we thought nothing of driving half way across the country for a party, now the youngsters jump on a plane and fly half way across Europe! .

Gem, happy birthday to your DD1. What a sweetheart GS is. I bet she really enjoyed being pampered this morning, and a lovely homemade card is worth its weight in gold. I do hope they have a great trip to London. I hope your sister is keeping well - there are so many nasty bugs around.

Lizzie, happy birthday to your GD2 as well! Is she having an outing or a party to celebrate? Oh dear, Oyster cards seem to have a way of escaping your grasp. I'm glad GS1 got it sorted out (with your help). I think it's some kind of magic that one tiny tissue can spread itself over a whole load of washing so effectively - and it's usually a dark wash, of course.

I don't know whether OH and DS2 will work on the greenhouse today. It really needs to be dry and frost-free to do the glazing. They only live 8 miles away but their weather can be quite different, they're only a mile inland. I need to run the hoover round upstairs and do a few other odds and ends, but otherwise I shall be painting.

You are right daisy, it was the dark wash, the annoying thing is......I hardly ever use tissues, I use them at the gym and I think it was wrapped in the towel.

I have done the front windows, with speed! I cleaned the roof of the balcony the other day, I usually do it when it is raining as it is easier to clean, only, it was blowing a gale as well and my windows were covered in dirty froth!

I will hear more later on what the plans are for GD2, I am going there for a meal later on.

Gemini, how lovely for your DD to be treated to breakfast in bed and a lovely home-made birthday card. Safe journey to your sister.

Daisy, Happy painting today. We had a very misty start to the day but I don’t think we had frost.

Lizzie, pleased the lost Oyster card was replaced. I have suffered with the tissue in the washing, it seems to coat everything. Enjoy your meal with the family.

Oma, did you have a reasonable nights sleep?

GD2 is here with her partner, they are looking to buy a house in this area, they live in South London at the moment. They showed me a picture of a house they are going to view, it is right opposite her brother and Sil’s house and just around the corner from GH. It looks good. Her partner works from home but she needs to get to London. I expect GD1 and family will pop in later to see them.

Lizzie, how annoying when cleaning one thing, your balcony roof, makes the windows dirty and giving you another job. At least both are now done. Enjoy your meal at GD2's.

Plant, how lovely that GD2 and her partner are hoping to move nearer to you. It's a big advantage when they already know the area as well. Is there a good train service into London? (When they're running, that is!)

We now have April showers! I wish the weather would give us a break and decide what it's doing.

Plant, that is a lovely little house your GD2 is looking at! And it has the added bonus of a car space in the front! That road always seems to have lots of parked cars.
                  🤞that they get it!

Oma I wish I was going to Portugal! I hope they have a lovely time. OH is going with golf friends in May and I am envious.

Happy Birthday to your GD Lizzie. I once dropped my Oyster card on the tube escalators, nightmare

I hope your GD gets the house they want Plant.

Daisy I thought we were getting showers as it clouded over for while. In fact it has been a mostly sunny day but chilly.

My sister was asleep on the sofa the whole time we were there. Shes not been too well this week but had seen the Dr on Thursday and he said nothing to worry about, just a virus. They said she was improving and was eating again. It's her birthday on Tuesday and they are all going out for meal, so I hope she is better by then.
We came back and did some pottering about in the garden. I have been feeling a bit down and out of sorts for a week or two so I thought fresh air and gardening might help. It was soggy underfoot and chilly so I was glad to get in though!

Good morning, frosty again but looks like it will be sunny.

The meal last night was lovely and it was nice to see everyone.

I need to catch up here, so I'll be back later.

                        Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, what a pretty graphic. I look forward to hearing about the birthday meal last night. Were you happy with your dress?

Gem, what a pity your sister wasn't feeling too well yesterday. I hope she's ok for her birthday meal on Tuesday. No wonder you're feeling a bit out of sorts. It's been a long winter, with worries about family issues and recovering from a major operation. Your routines at home have probably been changed with the golf course being closed so often, and now when we feel Spring is on the horizon, the weather turns cold and continues to batter us with one thing after another.

We've had a light frost overnight, but it's fine at the moment so I think OH is going over to DS2's to carry on with the greenhouse. I might get the ironing done this morning. Then more painting. I really want to get out in the garden - there are a lot of jobs waiting - but it would be silly to try until it warms up a bit.

                          Good morning everyone .

A meal out with friends does you good Nan2 .

Hopefully it will warm up soon for those gardening jobs Daisy.
Daisy, thank you, I agree there are probably several reasons for feeling like I do. The long winter is getting us all down as well I think. Although it is 10 months since my mum died this will be the first Mother's Day, without her and that is making me sad. Upwards and onwards as they say!

No plans for today apart from Tesco midday delivery. Some more cupboard sorting may take place

Good morning, the sun is actually shining. Rain again tomorrow though! I have just read we have had the warmest February ever.

I enjoyed the meal at DS1 last night for the birthday girl, she is growing up so fast! She was really spoilt with her presents and really appreciates it all, they both do, GD1 has a date for her ring making, at the end of March.

Sunny here too and the golf course is actually open! OH isn't playing today but will be tomorrow and Tuesday fingers crossed.

These little milestones get to you , you think your ok then it hits,
As Daisy said what with your Op your DDs troubles, worry about GD etc now the worry of your sister being poorly it all adds up,

you will be ready for your little break next month.

                                Nanto
Are there any photos of the birthday celebrations? I would like to see your lovely dress.

                                Lizzie
I bet GD was spoilt with all her Birthday gifts and why not they are lovely girls spoiling them would be easy 😁

                                Daisy
Hope J & DS get a start on the greenhouse, I dare say DS is itching to get his plants in 😁
Is the garden not a bit soggy to get things done yet?
My DS said BIL had been in their garden and it’s so wet trying to do anything is just messy.

                                Plant
Fingers crossed for GD and the house,
It will be nice for her to be near family , is she in a flat at the moment?

B has just brushed the drive and pathways for me, I intended doing it as he’s not that steady holding a broom but he did a good job without mishap😁

We going to Tesco this morning,
then this afternoon I intend washing and polishing all the bathroom tiles down,
They are floor to ceiling and although we always use the Karcher to dry them off when we have showered the top ones never get a clean ,
B insists as they don’t get wet they are not dirty but I think they are.
I will feel happier when they are done.

We had a lovely visit with our friends yesterday,
B sorted the printer and showed James what to do if it went off again.
