Good Saturday morning, everyone. It is colder, but the sun's shining, so hopefully the floods will recede.

Busy start to the day with bins (at last) and Sainsburys. I ordered some ready meals for OH while he's here on his own - he doesn't cook. Just waiting for the dog food to arrive now and getting the washing up to date.

Gem, I think staples look very uncomfortable, but the vet would have had to sedate Eva to stitch the wound but the could do the staples with a local anaesthetic. So we thought that was better for her. She's still on painkillers and they don't seem to be bothering her - she lies on that side with no problem.

Very happy birthday to your SIL3. I hope he has a lovely day. Has little E made his Daddy a birthday card?

Nanto, YouTube is amazing for learning new skills. My OH uses it for wood turning skills or using new equipment. Enjoy your day out in Wakefield.

Oma, have you got Storm back after his day out at the beach? Are you shopping for anything in particular at Dunelm?

Plant, how are you today? I hope you're feeling better and are looking after yourself. xx

Glamm, wondering how you are, and if you're out of hospital yet? Sending hugs.

Lizzie, I can see why you kept that fabric, and you must be so pleased to have made such a beautiful jacket out of it. Take care on your bike if it's windy.

I had a message from Glamma's DD saying she will be going home today with a care package.
She is very weak but I'm sure she will recover better at home.

Daisy I'm sure it's different for dogs and your vet will have used the very best method for Eva .
No external stitches for me, just glue

That's great news that Glam is on her way home. I'm sure her DD will make sure she's well cared for. Hopefully she can gradually build up her strength gain. Glamm, sending you lots of hugs. xxx

Gem, yes the staples are fine - they look painful though! I should think glue is the best option because then you don't get stitch or staple marks left.

I posted Glamms DDs message earlier , so pleased she's home .

Picking Storm up tomorrow they decided to keep him a couple of nights , didnt go to Dunelm in the end nothing really wanted just a look around .
Hope J copes alone Daisy I'm sure he won't starve 😁

              Gem
The glue is so much better than stitches isn't it , my next door neighbour had a big op they did internal stitches and glue external, her scar is very fine , I think in a short time you would hardly notice it .
Did you enjoy Birthday boys cake 😁

I did the ironing while B watched the football Derby and put the bottom sheets on the beds , B will put the Duvet covers on
Love getting in a clean fresh bed 😁

Have you chose an upright or a chest freezer Nanto?

We thinking of a new under bench fridge. Ours is ok but old now , they have pull out shelves and salad box but they are starting to crack .

Its finding the right one for your needs isnt it , more difficult than you imagine .

I wanted an upright Oma. I've got a chest freezer now and didn't want another.
We picked out which one we wanted and hubby said, just think how much more you will get in the new one.
I admit to being a food hoarder.

Nanto, you're not a food hoarder, you're the creator of a well-stocked larder.

Oma, it took us ages to find our new fridge and freezer. OH was sure he could walk into an electrical good showroom and choose from their extensive stock. That shows how long it is since he shopped for white goods!

I got all the washing done and dried today, including our bedding. God Eva's food ready to go to DS2 on Wednesday, and have just got to pack now. I'm hoping to leave about 10 o'clock tomorrow - DS1 and DIL are leaving for London about 1.30.

We have the fridge freezer in the kitchen and the chest freezer in the outhouse.
Really looking forward to getting the new one.
Bro in law from the bungalow came up this evening.
He brought us some out of date bread,i have crumbled it up in the food processor for the birds.
Asked him they didn't freeze it,he said no room and they are thinking about a second freezer.
He said Sis in law buys bread and potatoes every day. Apparantely they have got loads of potatoes as well.
I told him they could boil them, mash them then freeze them. He said Sis in law can't be bothered.
Can imagine him bringing me a load of spuds.

Oma I'm sorry I didn't spot your post about Glamma. When I got the message from her DD I just came to quickly post here and didn't notice that you had already

I hope she is settling in at home tonight.

We had a lovely afternoon. Baby was astounded to wake from his nap and find a house full!

                              Good morning. Cold but dry.

I could do with doing a load of washing.
Hubby will be busy in the outhouse.

Gem,glad you had a lovely afternoon with GS.

I'm doing an easy dinner. Pork steaks, roast potatoes, veg and gravy.

Good morning, I haven't a freezer, just the very small one in the fridge, when I got rid of my old one, 18 years ago, my neighbour at the time said I would never cope, I do cope, this is big enough for me, I have all the shops I need within walking or cycling distance.

It is colder here, at least it is dry! DS1 met me in the village for coffee yesterday, he was on his bike and didn't realise there was so much wind. It was nice sat chatting.

I hope to get my bedding etc dried outdoors today.
