Plant, it's good to hear you had a lovely birthday and have arrived safely.

Lizzie, we all hate being cut off from the internet don't we?!

Wow that was a busy day SIL2 here most of the morning, 11 year old and 1 year old GS's here all day. No one was any trouble at all, but it's quite tiring!

All gone now and we are about to eat.

Plant, pleased to hear you have arrived safely.

Gem, the house will seem quiet now.

Lizzie,we would certainly miss our internet.

Gem, what a busy day you have had, and I'm sure you must be very tired.

Lizzie, what good service, getting your internet sorted out so quickly. It's quite amazing how much we miss it if it's down!

Plant, pleased to hear you've arrived safely. It sounds very cosy with the Aga and the fire lit. It sounds as though it was quite a choppy crossing.

Oma, it's funny how you can go ages without seeing neighbours then bump into them when you're out. Did B get his new slippers?

Nanto, I didn't get any washing dried outside either.

We didn't get done as much as we hoped, but we did get all the small pots weeded, top dressed, saucers washed and all put into the summerhouse. They should be ok there, unless the roof blows off in the storm, of course. OH also mulched most of the plants in the back garden - the compost bins were full, and one bin had made lovely compost - worthy of being featured on Gardeners' World!! Haha. I hope the plants appreciate it.

My back was aching when we'd finished, and I'm ready for an early night.

Tomorrow we've got to take my car to the garage at 8 am - that's an early start for us. Hopefully they will only want it for one day, but it's having a service, new glow-plugs (whatever they might be) and a new cambelt. The cambelt is an expensive job, but my car is 8 years old and it's never been done. Of course, this is perfect timing (not!) as both our fridge-freezers are giving us reason to worry and the tumble dryer has developed a tendency to be temperamental! I suppose we shouldn't complain - one fridge freezer is 18 years old and the other 13 and the dryer might be even older - I can't remember.

Good morning. Not good weather wise, it's pouring down.

              No plans, other than housework.

Daisy, hope you get your car back quickly. Sorry to hear some of your appliances are giving you concerns. Could be an expensive time coming up.
They say things happen in three's.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning.
I need to go to the post office to post a card.
Hubby would take it for me, but it gets me out for 10 minutes. It's only 2 short streets away.

Jacket potatoes for dinner with cheese and beans.

                Good morning all.

Pouring here too Nan2, OH waiting to see is golf is cancelled.

Gosh all those appliances off Lizzie!

The glow plugs sound quite attractive Daisy

Hospital this afternoon for me. 6 week check with the consultant then physio appointment an hour later. The physio was sorry he couldn't fit me in earlier but I will read and take advantage of the free coffee machine. I am lucky to have the appointments on the same day in the same place. With NHS I could be sent anywhere for my physio, if I got it at all.
GS1 is planning to come Trick or Treating in his inflatable dinosaur suit! if he does I will take photos! Apart from him I will leave the sweets out with a Help yourself but don't take too many sign.

                HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Aww thanks Oma. I'm glad she's got her family to look out for her. Let's hope she's soon feeling a lot better now she's home.

I'm going to take some painkillers before the physio and ice and elevate when I get home!
No golf for OH but they are meeting in the clubhouse for a coffee. She may come with me to the hospital this afternoon now she will be free .

                        Good Tuesday Hallowee'n morning everyone.

Gem, I hope your check up has the doctor smiling and congratulating you on your progress. Good plan to prepare ahead for your physio. I hope OH can come with you, it's always better to have someone else there.

Glamm, so pleased to hear you are home, even if you are still a little bit wobbly. Care care, dear. xx

Oma, I'd love to see photos of your GS in his costume as well! Have fun with your decorations. I do hope B's appointment goes well and he's enjoying his new slippers. Give him a hug from me.

Nanto, it does you good to get out even if its only for a few minutes. I did jacket potatoes yesterday - a nice easy meal.

We've got glorious sunshine today. Everywhere is still very wet and driving to the garage to take my car in was so bright it was hard to see. Some people are never satisfied are they! .

To add to the catalogue of things going wrong at the moment, I was greeted this morning by a collapsed and soggy pumpkin dripping all over the hall. We'd left it on the hall window sill overnight and it just disintegrated. That settles it, Hallowee'n is cancelled. I haven't got time to make another one and I hadn't added us to the list of houses where it's ok to trick-n-treat yet.

I need to get some chores done round the house today - such excitement!
