It was kind of that lady Oma. As you say you don't mind helping with food as it won't go on drugs.
Nice tops Nan2.
We had a very nice time at DD2's. SIL's parents went too. GD showed us her presents and we all had birthday cake.
OH is out this evening for a friend's birthday meal. I don't feel ready to be able to sit at a table all evening yet, so I'm not going.

Hallo everyone, for some reason or other I wasn't logged in!
Happy birthday to your GD Gem, they do soon grow up. I went to watch GD2 playing football yesterday afternoon and she seems taller each time I see her.
Nanto, my friend phoned last night and she orders from Temu? as well, has had tops etc. I like the ones you have ordered.
I have been busy sewing a skirt, it was the pattern that was more important than the skirt as I want to make it in another colour, it has turned out nice, it needs finishing off now but that won't be much work. I think it is too long though to M next door can cast her critical eye over it!!
I didn't buy any material at the market yesterday, just some lining, I would have liked some black material to make slacks but none that I found suitable so I came home and ordered some on line. The slacks not the material.
It is the same here with the beggars Oma, only we don't have them very often like in the UK, they are all over the cities in the UK, not here, maybe they get moved on. Then there is the fact that very few people use cash nowadays.
Glamm, your poor DD, I hope that she manages to enjoy the rest of her holiday. I hope it works out for your DS1. He deserves to be happy.
The boots I ordered came on Friday, very smart as well, pair by pair I silently take my old ones to the charity shop!

Dentist for me this afternoon, just a check up. I will pick up some shopping whilst I am in the town. Not much else happening today. I fell asleep in the sun room yesterday afternoon, , slept too long so was awake about 5am this morning. I love my IPad, it is so portable.
Nanto, I think I will have fish today, fancy a trout. Love the graphic
Oma, So sorry you are having rain, we are experiencing some very quiet, sunny weather. Haven’t tasted a kipper for years.

Good morning, still very warm here, rain forecast later in the week.
I have just been to do the coffee then later to aqua, GD2 asked if I could shorten a pair of jeans for her friend so I will pick them up later, then, this evening the meeting.
I got the skirt sewn up yesterday, love the pattern, only it must have been too much for my poor hands and I felt them all night long! Will I ever learn!!!!!
I get a smoked mackerel most weeks, supposed to be good for me, in fact, that could be tomorrow, I am going out with a lady from the art group, to a museum in Den Haag, there is a display of the clothes from Princess Diana etc, not my thing, but she has asked me a few times so I will go.

Hello, everyone. I've missed you all!
Our visitors left this morning and had a good journey back to North Wales. The week has gone by very quickly and for once, I seemed to have meals fairly well organised. We went out with friends one lunch-time and our visitors very kindly took us out for a meal on Saturday evening. Last night I did a roast dinner - I think that's the first one since last December! Yesterday my Sister-in-Law and I went to a local garden centre. We had a good potter round - it seems totally wrong that there were people browsing Christmas decorations etc in t-shirts and shorts! We had a bit of lunch there, sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine.
Today after they'd left I stripped our bed and washed the bedding. It's been a glorious sunny day in the low 20s so I planted some Iris Reticulata I'd bought at the garden centre yesterday. I potted on some cuttings I'd taken in the Spring - a hardy outdoor tradescantia and a hydranga, plus a nameless houseplant which has been enjoying summer in the garden. I also enjoyed a bit of general pottering round. After a late lunch I took Eva for a long walk in the Forest. It was still really warm when I got home about 5.30. Dinner tonight was leftovers. I do like good leftovers.
Tomorrow is OH's birthday and DS1 and DIL are coming down for the day. We haven't seen them for about 3 weeks.

Good morning, Oma, the skirt is black, I want to make a brownish skirt and jacket, using my materials out of my store cupboard!!!
The meeting went well, at least we hope it did, I still think a lot will vote against it, especially the older ones in the flat opposite, the neighbour causing all the worry was very quiet, too quiet really, strange. We walked home at 10pm and I didn't even need a jacket, it was so warm.
Daisy, you have soon got back to normal after having the visitors.
Nanto, when do you go away?
Our young man did the lesson yesterday at aqua, he can move!!! I was talking to him on the way out and he hopes to be able to keep doing the Monday class, we hope so as well.
I am meeting the friend at the station at 10am for our day out! Museum in Den Haag.
