Urine test not back yet, didn’t have a particularly good night, the pain in my back was bad, couldn’t get comfortable. Face timed GD1, I needed to see H to cheer me up and she did. We used to grow cultivated blackberries, not as flavoursome as the wild ones. Daisy you haven’t mentioned your banana plants.

Well my morning went pear shaped.
Hubby was just driving away, while i was hanging washing out.
Neighbour came over, they were having a problem with ebay.
They know we use it,so they asked if we could help.
As i said hubby had just pulled away,so we turned into me.
Took almost an hour, but got it sorted, all is well now.
Hubby wouldn't have been much use, any computer/phone problems i have to sort them out.
Like you say Daisy, he's better at practical thing, not technology.
Plant, glad H managed to cheer you up a bit, bless her.
Oma, sounds like MIL is on the mend now, good to hear.
Lizzie,hope you have a lovely day.Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto,
Im useless with technology, B is brilliant with it as is my DD.
Plant
You poor thing I hope it settles soon , I bet H made you smile though 😁❤️
Gem
I would have swapped with you , I’ve bought some cooking apples this morning to make either Blackberry and apple crumble or pie , we haven’t decided yet.
Enjoy your visit to the animal park , will you have lunch there?
Lizzie
Your GD will love you going to the zoo with her
38 inside leg 😱 goodness my trousers would be like knee length trousers on her 😂😂
Well another £73 at the dentist ,
Took an old silver filling out and replaced with a white one , didn’t have it numbed as it was only a few seconds drilling .

Oma, at least it was only your purse that was hurt at the dentist, and I'm sure the new filling is much better.
Plant, so sorry you're still in pain, but it's lovely that H can cheer you up. She is such a sweetheart isn't she.
Nanto, that sort of thing seems to happen in our house all the time - plans get changed in a few seconds.
It's not going smoothly here either. I've just tried to place an online order for dog food and can't get a phone signal to do the one time payment thing! I've phoned the company but they can't do it over the phone, so I've emailed them. They're always very helpful, so fingers crossed. Also there are airport strikes in Portugal this week-end. DIL1 and GSs are due to fly back home tomorrow, so we don't know what will happen. Hopefully if they are delayed they can stay in the hotel. If they can't pick Bailey up on Monday as planned, the poor dog will have to come out for a long car ride with us on Tuesday, and he's not a great traveller.

DD spoke to my GS2 (physio), he thinks the pain is coming from upper back muscles. It is too high for it to be kidneys. So, was the urine infection a red herring? Still in pain, urine clear. Pain is in the upper back around the shoulder blades. Painkillers only keep the pain subdued. Answers in a S.A.E please. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, have you tried a warm wrap or pack on your upper back and shoulder blades? Is it both sides or just one?
I sometimes get a bit of pain around my right shoulder blade - usually after too much gardening or ironing etc - and a warm wrap eases it. Yours sounds a lot more painful than mine though, but warmth might be worth a try.

Good evening.
Daisy my suggestion would be some heat applied in that way, or maybe a deep tissue massage? They help my painful back spasms a lot. Plant has your GS suggested anything?
I hope the dog food order got sorted out Daisy.
Oma I'm glad to hear your MIL is improving. Dentists are expensive aren't they?
You did your good deed there for your neighbour Nan2
We had a lovely time at the animal park.
We had lunch in the cafe there , saw all the animals and ended with the play park.
For some reason I felt very upset about the kookaburra. I watched him alone and thought of that song about kookaburras and felt so sad for him. He was so lovely. I still feel sad!
Apart from that it was a nice day, and we had fish and chips for tea so no cooking.

Good morning on the last day of August, soon be Christmas 🎄.
Oma, expensive now at the dentist.
Gem,glad you enjoyed your day out.
Daisy, did you eventually get the dog food order done.
We are going to Pontefract today. We don't need a lot, but we do like it there, especially when the weather is nice.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone!!
Nan2, think of Daisy's blood pressure!!
Our Monday aquafit instructor has been saying the same thing for weeks now
I know you missed your day out last Saturday Nan2 so it will be good to go today.
Lovely sunny morning here.
No plans for me apart from getting the bedding on the line. OH has a golf away trip Sunday to Monday, so she will be packing for that and our holiday. I will do mine while she is away.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning ladies,
Gem
I did my bedding , got it all on the line and the clothes prop snapped ,
So had to rearrange them , they almost trailing the floor but not quite.
Thats the second prop to go , they are the metal ones with the screw tight middle. It’s that part that snaps🙄
Aww the poor kookaburra, they have some at the eagle sanctuary next to the hotel we sometimes stay in in York , can’t remember its name now.
Nanto
Hope you enjoy your day out and the weather stays lovely and warm for you to enjoy a browse 😁
Plant
Could it be a flair up of Arthritis?
I get terrible back pain there when mine flairs up ,
Heat pads are the only help for me as I can’t take anti inflammatory meds.
Maybe as others have suggested speak with your lovely GS ,
Im sure he would do anything to help Granny ❤️
Daisy
I hope they get their flights home.
Its not good having to take a dog that doesn’t travel well on long journeys , it’s like car sick children isn’t it.
Will the dog food company send you a confirmation email about the order , otherwise you won’t know if your coming or going with it.
We went down to Iceland early this morning after I stripped the beds and did the housework.
B was a darling and dusted and hoovered the two bedrooms and the hall stairs and landing for me.
We Then went to see to the cats,
Naughty cat Buzz, was in a very loving mood this morning , just wanted cuddles and wouldn’t let me put him down till he was ready,
I had to put food out and clean litter tray with him glued to my chest 😁
MIL was on fine form last night, looks so much better , I think the idea of moving to the convalescent home and out of hospital environment has cheered her up.
Shes been up walking and for the first time in almost a month had read her book ,
She didn’t have the energy before and couldn’t focus her mind too it.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. Yes, indeed - the 31st August.
My blood pressure has been put severely to the test already by GD1's birthday - 25th August, The next big event in our family will be in exactly 4 months! But it's all under control -
Nanto, have a good day out.
Gem, I always feel sorry for a lone species in any kind of zoo or sanctuary, but perhaps there are plans to introduce more kookaburras. On the other hand, maybe they're not very friendly towards each other - see link below about 1.20 mins in!
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
I had to laugh, when the birds starting "laughing", Bailey came to see what the commotion was!

Oma, I'd love a 'proper' washing line instead of our useless whirlygig one (which never whirls round and needs constant cleaning). But we've nowhere to put it. The prop breaking might put me off though! I'm sure my mum had a wooden prop which lasted for ever! It's good even Buzz can be cuddly! Does Storm get jealous? Your MIL is making really good progress. Let's hope she doesn't have to wait to long to move out of the hospital.
Yes, thank you, the dog food order was all sorted out, and they always send confirmation of an order. They really are one of the best and most helpful online suppliers I've ever met.
DIL and GSs are at the airport, but can't even join the queue for an hour!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning, Oma, I have 2 of those metal props, bought them at Lakeland years ago, both still working, in fact one has gone to DS1 as props are never used here! Daisy, my mother had the same (wooden) prop for as long I can remember!
I am still worried about Plant!
GD2 sent me a message last night, can I make her trousers like I made for GD1?Now back to the market in Delft on Thursday, hoping he still has the same material.
It is very windy here so my washing soon dried.

Daisy
Storms terrified of Buzz so keeps as far away as he can unless it’s necessary
Luckily Storm is away with DD so doesn’t know about the cuddles 😁
Lizzie
Hope you can get the material ,
I used to have two props from Lakeland but somehow they migrated to DDs and never traveled home again 🙄
I used to have big wooden ones that lasted years,
B said he would make me another one I can keep it down by the shed 😁

Lizzie, I think we are all worried about dearest Plant, and I hope she is soon improved. Lucky GDs to have such a talented sewing Grandma
Oma, I have 2 metal clothes props, we have 2 washing lines. It was very hard to find the second one, there don't seem to be many about. Daisy my mum had a sturdy wooden one made by dad which I think lasted all her life.
Daisy how determined and unfriendly to each other those Kookaburras are. I bet Bailey wondered what on earth was going on! When we go again I am going to ask if there is more than one kookaburra or plans to bring any more.
Upwards and onwards Oma's MIL!
