    Morning ladies
    Thick fog here ,
I was dragged to the DIY shop this morning early so went to Tesco while we were out .
Went into the cafe for a hot drink , just as we got to the counter the Cafe had a power cut so we ended up with cold drinks .
I was so thirsty I didn’t mind a cold drink to be honest .

    Gem
hope you enjoyed your Aqua .

    Plant
Cant forget GD and baby H 😁
Hope Kevin does a quick but good job , it’s good you know how he works and that you have used him before ,
Did you decide on the biscuit colour ?

    Daisy
Enjoy your morning visiting an excuse to just sit and do nothing 😁

    WG
you must take photos when the post box is finished ,
Those command hooks work well outside we use them for our Christmas lights around the window ,
As long as you dry the area with kitchen paper or a cloth and they come off easy once you are finished with them ,
May be the solution to putting snowman on the box 😁

    Nanto
lovely graphic very apt today 😁

I slept 5 hours solid last night got up to go to the loo then slept another 2 hours so for once a good night ,
A picture of our lovely afternoon , my DD and GSs girlfriend

Good Morning everyone, well we seem to have the broadband back on track in the area thank goodness.

Why when xmas is so near do kitchen appliances go kaput !! my oven went bang yesterday and would not come on again I suggested to DS1 that it may need a new element ? but he said no chance mum it will be a waste of money the cooker is 11 yrs old and needs replacing just what I needed to know !!This morning he came here and took me to the local white goods store nearby my house and purchased a new electric cooker for me it is being delivered on Wednesday he won't take payment for it and has classed it as my early xmas present what a special boy he is,the sting in the tail is the cost of fitting which is £110 by the electrician but it does include disposal of the old cooker.

The day is quite dull here today with a drizzle of rain so I'll be home all day I think I shall do some ironing then get on with wrapping some presents it saves me having lots to wrap nearer the big day I also have 4 birthdays before xmas and 2 immediately afterwards one of my DGS is 28 today I just am amazed as to where the years have gone.

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies speak soon,

      Glamma xx

Glamm, so sorry to hear about the cooker and the expense of having to replace it so near to Christmas.

Oma, what a wonderful sleep for you, did you wake up refreshed or a bit drugged.

Glamma, typical for the oven to go kaput near Christmas, but it would have been worse if it happened over Christmas.

Gem, hope you enjoyed aqua and brunch.

I've cleaned upstairs.Changed the bedding and washed it.

Its been dull all morning and just had a shower of rain.

I woke a bit groggy and heavy headed , not used to so much sleep .😀

            Glamm
Nanto is right it could have been right on Christmas , I hope your DD can find someone who can fit it cheaper , that’s a lot of money for a few wires isn’t it .

Ihave finished my ironing , I never have a lot as I always iron as soon as the load is dry , but I still hate doing it .

B is watching football so I’m just pottering .
Chicken noodle soup made in the Ninja for tea .

Plant, I think the kitchen is the worst room to have decorated. There's always a lot to move, and it's something you need even for a cup of tea or coffee. Have you chosen the colour yet? (Sorry if I've missed this somewhere). Fancy forgetting GD1 and H! I know you wouldn't really forget them but with your family scattering all over London I can understand it. x

WG, I'd love to see your post box, too.

Oma, what a good night's sleep that was for you. Fingers crossed tonight will be the same. OH and our next door neighbour are watching the football. OH went into the kitchen to make them a sandwich - and missed 3 goals. He says it's the story of his life, goals are always scored when he's distracted from the tv!

What a lovely photo of your DD and GS1's girl friend. Such a pretty girl and a lovely expression.

Glamm, the timing could have been worse for the cooker breaking, but it's good you can get it replaced so quickly. Your DS1 is very kind. You've got a busy time with all those birthdays and Christmas. Very happy 28th birthday to your GS. I hope he has a lovely day. Time flies, doesn't it!

We've had a lovely morning at our ex-neighbours. They moved into this house about 3 months ago, having previously lived there for many years! It had changed hands a couple of times since they sold it and the last owners had done an amazing update with a state of the art kitchen/diner, new bathrooms, doors etc. They had been looking to move back to that area for ages (it's very flat there and our friend has some mobility problems), and when their old house came on the market they couldn't believe their luck. It's lovely to see them settled and happy there. We had a great chat, lots of laughter and, of course, a guided tour of their new home.

The rain has been torrential all morning, with a lot of flooding on the roads. I didn't even try to go across the Forest and stuck to the main road. There wasn't much traffic about, thank goodness.

It's stopped raining now, but I think Eva is only going to get a short walk with so many floods and puddles! I've also got to cook this pork shoulder.

                Hello again!

I love the knitted post box toppers WG, I have seen them in a few places.

Ooh that all looks yummy Oma What a pretty girl GS's GF is.

                What a good son Glamma!

Daisy, it certainly was an early class! I don't do the Monday class often for that reason. A morning of chat and laughter with your ex neighbours sounds perfect!

My windscreen was frozen this morning
Lovely brunch and catch up with DD2, her treat. We had a lot to talk about re her sisters situation. I will update on YEO soon.
This evening my friend JT and I are going to the lovely little shop in our village. It is Christmas Shopping night. We booked in a while ago, limited numbers only. There will be fizz, nibbles and a discount. We will be taking plastic

Gem, I'm sure having an early class makes you feel very virtuous for the rest of the day! How good it must have been to spend some quality time with DD2, and even better over a delicious brunch. Enjoy your Christmas shopping night in your local shop. Is this the one that always has something interesting on offer? If so, I hope your plastic is nice and flexible.

Eva had a quick walk round the block. It was virtually dark when we set off so she wore her nice new hi-vis coat and it made such a differences it got darker and we were between lamposts. (Our street lighting might as well not be there. The powers that be are so worried about light pollution that the street lights cast next to no light!) I only saw one other dog walker with a torch as well. I nearly bumped into one lady, wearing a black coat with a black dog. Her dog gave Eva a good barking at, but it was on a corner and I couldn't see her until we came face to face.

The pork shoulder is in the oven and the crackling is looking ok, fingers crossed.

Good morning. No frost this morning. Has been raining but stopped now.
I think there is quite a bit more rain forecast for this week.

Hubby dropping me off in town this morning, then he's meeting his pal.
They are going round what we call the Tuesday market. I'm staying in the town centre.
I want to stock up at the butchers and get a few things from Wilko's.
We will all meet up later and go for a coffee and then home.

Daisy, hope you enjoyed your roast pork.

                      Good morning to all.

Nan2, your graphic reminds me of my GD when she will little. She's still a dancer, but a much bigger one
                      Happy shopping.

Its sounds very dangerous with so little light Daisy. Eva's hi vis jacket is a great idea. How was the pork?

Reflexology for me this morning. She comes to me so no turning out in the cold this morning.
GS1 from school this afternoon then we are having him overnight. He starts school early so I will be up and out again tomorrow morning, maybe defrosting my car!

I hope everyone is feeling OK today.

Good morning, a bitter cold wind here today. From my window I can see the church tower, there is a very high crane there this morning with 2 (cold) men hanging in a cage doing some work.

Oma, like Plant I only just realised it was you DD and young girlfriend of GS1 in the photo.

Nanto, enjoy your day in the town.

Gem, you will enjoy having GS1 to sleep, I used to love having them both here and then taking them to school.

Daisy, it must be very dark with hardly any street lights.

I am waiting for a parcel to be delivered then I hope to get to the library later on.

Kevin has almost finished the work, just the glossing of a door and frame and a small job in the bathroom. I am very pleased with the colour. I put a note on our local website yesterday asking if there was anyone who would come for a couple of hours to help me wash the cupboard fronts and worktops and put everything back . I have had two replies. Sunshine this morning after constant rain yesterday.

Daisy, you you got a high viz jacket too for those dark walks with Eva, do be careful.

Gemini, enjoy your reflexology today. How is your DD, I see you are having GS1 overnight.

Nanto, have a nice time in town.

                              Morning ladies
I slept really well again last night so I have gone through the house this morning like a whirlwind , even dusted around the ceilings and behind the beds, get it done while I have the energy 😀

Thank you ladies , yes Lucie is a pretty little thing and so nice chatty and friendly ,
She was so excited as only once had afternoon tea and that was when they went to a hotel for GSs 18th weekend away .

                              Daisy
How did the pork turn out ?
Really good idea getting Eva a high vis jacket but don’t you get anxious being in the forest in the dark x

                              Nanto
As your in town you should treat yourself to lunch out ,
Will Hubby be looking for anything in particular or just browsing ,

                              Gem
                              Enjoy your reflexology,
It will feel strange getting GS to school tomorrow you get out of the habit don’t you as they get older and your not taking them to school and nursery just picking up rather than other way around 😁.

                              Lizzie
I wouldn’t want to be up a crane in this weather but I suppose they get used to it ,

                              Plant
How is the decorating going , has Kevin started the painting yet or still prepping ?

I was going to clear what I hope is the last leaves to come down as the trees are almost bare ,
But it’s a drizzly dark damp day so unless it brightens up this afternoon the leaves are staying where they are .

Enjoy whatever your doing ladies ,
I was thinking of Clover yesterday I hope she’s looking after herself x

Winter is definitely on the way Lizzie!

Plant, I'm glad the decorating is almost done. If it works out with the person who comes to help you they could be useful in future.
DD is quite stressed and needing to address the problem with SIL. Hence us having GS tonight.

Oma, a good night sleep is a rarity for you isn't it? It will do you good
I am thinking about Clover this week too
