    Good morning all.
First and foremost thanks admin for my beautiful email.

Unfortunately my birthday wasn't as I would have liked as OH wasn't well , he spent most of it in bed which isn't like him but he is much better today.
Once again I have yet another water infection, its getting me down. Last time I spoke to the Dr she said if it happens again she will prescribe some cream because with the prolapse I am constantly uncomfortable. She said just give the surgery a ring to arrange an appointment. I told her I would have more luck nailing jelly to a tree than getting an appointment. She wasn't impressed.

Oma there's a nasty cold virus doing the rounds out there, Hope DD feels better soon.

I think the weather has taken a change, its definitely colder out today and it keeps raining.

Oh by the way DIL brought me an orchid for my beautiful, any tips on care would be very much appreciated. I have had several over the years and I have managed to kill them all !

    Have a good day everyone

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oh Mimi, a poorly husband and a water infection don't make for a good birthday!
Did the pelvic floor exercises not help with the prolapse problem at all? I I used to be so uncomfortable, but although the prolapse feels the same it's not uncomfortable now.

The buyer of my mum's house has pulled out. I am not happy.

Mimi - you must be so fed up, and a happy birthday day would have done you good, so I'm so sorry it didn't work out. Glad OH is feeling better today, though. You probably kill your orchids with kindness. I was told by an orchid breeder (well, wife of, to be precise) to water them about once a week. Give them a good soaking but then let them drain thoroughly before putting them back in the outer pot. They like light, but not direct sunshine. Good luck with yours.

Gem - I don't believe it! How can it get this far and then your buyer pull out! I know from experience it does happen, but it's awful. I'm so sorry. xxx

Mimi, my neighbour, among others, is really good with orchids, what they do it certainly not water from the top but place the pot in water an hour or so in the week. I do that if I have them and it always works. I just miss the patience to leave them a few months to flower again.

As for the water infection, mine has just cleared yet again. Sorry to hear OH is not well. Sorry, a belated happy birthday.

That's not good news Gem! Any reason given? You were so near completion too weren't you?

Been to see OH and found he'd just eaten a two course lunch and from the remains on the plate ( very few) he seemed to have enjoyed it. Chicken casserole followed by sponge and custard and he was drinking milk!! Seems he'd also had porridge and toast for breakfast!! He's better fed there than he was at home......wouldn't eat puddings nor porridge! Spoken to team about decisions re his ongoing care. Time for a family discussion to finally decide what's best for him, his health care and his safety. The whole care system is a nightmare thank goodness for experts who can help guide you through it.

Another day of sunshine and torrential downpours. This petrol shortage is certainly keeping traffic off the roads, never known them so clear. I'm only using the car to go to see OH and using public transport for any other trips.

Never been successful with orchids and one of my houseplants is thriving outdoors at the moment. Every time I bring it in the leaves turn yellow again!

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies!

WeeGranny - what good news that OH is eating well. That at least must be a big relief. How is he in himself?

What is the house plant that prefers being outside? I'm intrigued.

Hopefully the fuel crisis will ease in a few days. I have to use my car tomorrow but I've got over half a tank and it's quite economical on fuel.

We've had sunshine and showers - not torrential, just showers. I've just got back from walking Eva and it was very blustery out on the moor. I've worn proper jeans (instead of cropped) for the first time for months today. I hate this change-over to winter clothes.

Good news that OH is eating well WG.

I hope it does ease soon Daisy. We both have petrol in our tanks, but we used my car yesterday to go to my aunties (45 minutes away) to conserve fuel for our break on Sunday. We need a car to get to the boat!
I need my car for tomorrow and Friday school pick ups, but I may go by bus to visit my mum on Saturday, depending on how much fuel I have left.

Oma, hope DD feels better soon.
                    Dad is doing ok thanks.

Well it was all hands on deck today. We have done some clearing out at Dad's.
One of hubby's sisters and her hubby came to help.
The conservatory, garage and shed have been cleared.
It's all been dumped. Ordered a large skip, which they delivered straight away.
The skip people were very good, they came and collected when we rang and told them it was full.

WG lovely to here he is eating , maybe its the Chemo stopping has restored his appetite

B went for Fuel today no problems at all in Garages around here ,
In fact we passed several Garages taking MIL home yesterday with no queues and people just filling up as normal

Nanto I bet it felt good getting FIL's house cleared a little , I bet the Garage and shed had stuff that would never be used again so no point in keeping it

Gem - yes, you need to make sure you can drive to the boat for your holiday.

Oma - good to know there's fuel somewhere - I don't think I'd be able to get to it on half a tank though. I'm sure things will soon be back to whatever counts as normal these days.

Nanto - you have certainly been busy filling a large skip that quickly. Good to get things sorted out though.

A busy day for me tomorrow with French in the morning and dog training in the afternoon.

Sun is peeking through. Had rain during the night though.

Plenty to do today, after spending so much time at time at dads yesterday.

Daisy, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff that went in the skip.

                            Good morning everyone.

I can imagine how much stuff there was Nan2. It is a lot of work sorting it all out I agree.
I hope your busy French lessons and dog day goes well Daisy!
I hope we find the same situation here with petrol stations here Oma. We could do to fill OH's car for Sunday, and I would really prefer not to waste a whole afternoon on Saturday if I have to get two buses to see my mum! GS1's school is only 4 miles away so I won't use much today.

Library this afternoon. It is also GS1 day, so I will have to leave early to get into town to pick him up , which I have already told the librarian about.

                            Have a good Day ladies.

A hasty good morning from me. I'll drop in later to catch up with everything, but for now I must hurry to get ready. The sun's shining and no rain forecast for today, so OH is going to do some more gardening while I'm out and about.

Nanto - I hope your GD1 has a lovely day, but it sounded from last week as though she was working.

Let's hope the fuel situation eases soon Gem. It's an extra hassle you don't need. xx

I think her and OH have plans to go somewhere at the weekend.
