Plant, Qwerty's birthday is in April She just made up a false one for FB as you can't have an FB account without a birthdate.

Clover, writing those cards the first year must be so hard, especially having to tell some friends about G

It's chilly here today. I have been busy. I will write on the What I did Today thread.

Gem - I so glad you caught up on sleep as well. Did you get the conservatory done?

Oma - I like to hear Eva having a good crunch on bones - at least I know they're not going down whole and it's cleaning her teeth as she won't let us do it! I buy duck feet by the kilo from our supplier (obviously she can't have chicken feet). Eva was fed kibble when we got her and we switched her to raw and she loves it and thrives on it - she's even grown a hairy tummy! Plant - there's a lot of concern about dogs being fed kibble, and pumped full of vaccines they don't need. Like people who try to eat a healthy and wholesome diet, raw feeders tend to think it's a species appropriate way to feed our pets, provided it's done correctly. Cooper was weaned on to raw and has never had anything else.

Plant - I hope you enjoyed the rugby. My OH doesn't know the result yet, but he won't be a happy bunny!

Mimi - I agree with Oma - you should at least have a chat with the doctor, and better still a proper appointment. It could just be worry and stress, but better to check up before you get arrested for being drunk and disorderly. Big hugs. xx

Clover - all these firsts are so painful, and I think you were very brave writing in Christmas cards about losing G. I didn't realise travel from Wales to England is still not allowed over Christmas. I though people were allowed to travel. I spoke to one of my BILs in Wales today and he seemed to think he could come to England to spend Christmas with his DDs here. He'll be so disappointed if that's not possible. The days are long when you've got nobody to share them with, and even worse with the dark nights and bad weather. It is sad when friends drift away, for whatever reason, but there's always the hope that they may come back - Prodigal Daughters perhaps. It would be nice if they did.

Alexa is telling me dinner's ready!

Clover, it must have been hard writing the cards, especially to those who didn't know G had passed away. I didn't realise you had 2 sons, do they both live near?

Morning ladies. Am I first today?

I hope you all had a good night. It’s overcast here at the moment but the forecast is reasonable. I might go for a longer walk today all round the cliff top path. I do appreciate seeing the sea and the view across the bay is always different.

Plant yes I have two sons ,one in Cardiff and one the other side of Swansea. He doesn’t drive so is dependent on his partner bringing him over to see me. She is a funny individual and doesn’t go out of her way to take her own mother anywhere so not a lot of hope for me. 🙁 Also for some reason I don’t know she doesn’t “do” Christmas. This is why DS can spend the allotted time with me over Christmas while D goes to her Mum who also is non Christmas. Strange though I know it’s not for religious reasons.

We had a family Zoom last night. No one had a lot to report as no one is able to do much these days🙁 but I do love to see them and DD”s dog 😀

I must get going now and hope you all have a peaceful day.

Morning Clover, you are bright and early this morning, your walk along the cliff tops sounds fantastic! People think I am strange as I don't do the exaggerated Christmas! They ask if we did when I was younger, my mum loved Christmas and everything connected to it, my father was always pleased when it was over and done with, as he used to say!

I have been to the supermarket in the village, in the car! Unheard of, but, I ordered some things on line and they came in a massive box, I returned one item and it had to go in the massive box, it was far too big to carry on the bike so took it to the depot at the supermarket this morning, I then carried on and put some air in the car tyres. I have booked a winter check for next month for the car, it is free and I wasn't going to bother as I don't drive much but decided this morning I would do it.

                    Good morning ladies.

Yes Clover, the first in line award is yours today I am always surprised when I am first!
Best to get the car checked for winter Lizzie, especially if it is free!
Good dinner for a murky day Nan2. We are having a sort of Sunday roast today, but with pork chops instead of a joint.
The Zoom meetings are lovely for keeping in touch, especially with family you can't see. I know what you mean about having nothing much to say though Clover. We are having one with a group of friends tomorrow night, a break from the usual quiz. Not sure I have anything interesting to tell them!

A foggy morning here. Nothing planned today. I am going to start getting the Christmas things up. As it is so early there is no rush, I will eke it out

                    Have a good Sunday.

Good morning ladies. That's a cheery graphic for a late November morning, Nanto. Although, it's quite nice here and there's even a bit of sunshine.

Clover - I'm always surprised when I'm first on here - it doesn't happen often, but it's rather nice when it does. That walk sounds lovely - you have such a spectacular coastline. Have you done any more painting recently? Just thinking with all those views and the light being quite interesting at times you can take some photos and use them as a basis for some relaxing art. I'm going to move my painting stuff into the dining room as it's too cold in the summerhouse, and I'm looking forward to getting started again.

I know what you mean about Zooms - they're great, but as we're all doing nothing at the moment there's not a lot to tell family or friends about.

Nanto - dinner sounds delicious, and so does yours, Gem! How do you cook your pork chops - I never seem to be able to get much flavour into them.

Lizzie - I've got this lovely mental picture of you with an enormous box wobbling from side to side on the back of your bike - taking the car was a good choice!

Oma - hard to believe your great nephew is one already. They do grow up far too fast.

No particular plans for us today. We need to collect OH's phone from DIL2 now she's very kindly set it up for him, but they bring it over for us. I might do a bit of gardening if it stays nice - there are plenty of weeds to tackle.

Daisy, I don't cook pork chops any more. Not since the time OH discovered a Phil Vickery recipe. Very simple, she gave it a try and they were tender and delicious. She tried it another time, the same. We have had them several times, always good. So now we only have pork chops when it is OH's turn to cook
I'll find the recipe and put it on the recipes thread,

                              Good Moaning Each,
A grey day here, but garden we must. OH has hurt his back and my arm is worse than useless so we have enlisted the help of a very nice young man who has lost his job. He made short work of the digging!
                              Beef casserole for dinner.
We went to Hyde Hall in the evening last week to their ‘Glow’ event. It was stunningly beautiful but far too short! We were in and out in three quarters of an hour!
                              Have a good day ladies.
PS. I received my Tesco order on Friday evening, two bottles of gin! I had ordered them to hold my spot, then forgot. 🙄 Luckily they have refunded me.

Poor OH Grauntie, you two are having a time of it recently!
Great idea to enlist younger help.

Once DD2 received a Tesco order of a few boxes of cat food only! She started the order to secure the delivery slot, then forgot to update it!! They had to go out and do a full shop!
