Sun is shining, but i think its all chande from sometime this evening.

Lizzie,i think you did very well to learn Dutch.

I'm hoping i get to stay at home this morning, hope i don't get a phone call from in laws.

Daisy and Oma, both of you got bargains yesterday with the bones for Eva and Storm.
Like the sound of the lilac nail polish Daisy. Hope it meets with GDs approval.

Good moring Nanto and Lizzie. Nanto - I love the beach theme for today. Just what I could do with. I hope you get your peaceful day at home.

Lizzie - I can imagine the puzzled English looks when you break into Dutch! It sounds as though your friend was very helpful. I have a friend whose children grew up speaking three languages, but it seems so much easier for children to do this. Not so for us grown-ups, so all credit to you.

        Good morning everyone.

Fingers crossed no in-laws call Nan2!
Lizzie, I think one time when we were having lunch together, years ago, you slightly lapsed into Dutch! When we had a guided tour of Eastern Canada a few years ago our guide was Dutch. She had lived in Canada a long time. One time when we were driving along we had to call out 'Christa, you are speaking in Dutch!' As suddenly nothing she was saying made any sense to us

Mum and I are going to see my sister this afternoon. I will do mum's shopping first. We always stop off at the takeaway part of Wetherby Whaler on the way home to get a child's fish bites and chips for mums tea. 3 fish pieces, chips, and peas is enough for her, and it costs about £3.40!

        Have a good day ladies.

Gemine, I do that sometimes and don't realise I am doing it, enjoy your visit to your sister and the fish and chips for your mums, tea. I have just been on the bike to the market in Delft, there is a man there with lovely plants but he didn't have what I am after so will go to the garden centre now.

            Morning ladies ,
feel lethargic today lack of sleep ,
Waiting for garage to pick car up for its service so may be in most of day ,

Workman hear clearing the guttering we noticed the rain was pouring over the top at both front and back so badly needed doing ,
Trouble is the trees , the leaves block the drain ,

Lizzie shame you couldn't get the plants from the market ,

Gem hope your Sister is well when you see her , a child's portion of Fish & chips would do me too , if we buy them from the fish shop we tend to get one fish & chips between us as the portions are huge

Nanto hope you get your day in today and in laws are ok

All housework done and washing , a small amount of ironing to do and I usually do it same day as washed but don't have the energy today so it can wait till tomorrow when Storm is hear ,

              Morning all.

Oma I’m sorry you had a painful night. Pain itself tires you let alone lack of sleep.A Nana nap later perhaps? I had weeds growing in my guttering so had to have them cleared out.

Bargain on the dog bones ladies.

Gem I hope you find your sister well and Mum in a good mood.

Lizzie I should imagine Dutch is hard to learn. Most people know a couple of words in French,Italian or Spanish but I for one wouldn’t have a clue about Dutch.

I’m feeling a bit smug as I managed to mend a drawer in the spare room that has been falling to pieces for ages. It’s an old MFI type so not the best and I’ve had it donkey’s years. I found some wood glue in the garage and set to. This morning it seemed quite firm so I fitted back in it’s place.Sadly another job OH would have done.I’m glad I was his assistant when he did things as I have a vague idea about DIY,but not a lot.
I’m also in the wars as when I was stumbling zombie like to the loo in the night I caught one of my toes on the corner of a box on the landing. I won’t go into details in case it makes you queasy but suffice to say it is now encased in a large dressing which is making walking a bit difficult. Luckily it’s just a pottering day with lots of little jobs so I’ll survive.

Hope you day is a good one.

No Aqua today, no teacher available. Not sure what I will do, certainly dust the Lounge, apart from that not sure. I slept late again so not dressed yet.

I would love to have been able to learn a second language Lizzie48, best way is to go and live there as you did.

Love your graphic Nanto, hope you don't get a call.

Hope your mum will enjoy her day out Gemini and her fish and chips.

                Nail varnish sounds very swish.

How is P Enfys, have I missed something about a scan?

Oh Clover, jolly well done on the drawer mending, but I'm sorry you are injured! When I hear you talk about DIY I so wish we lived closer, my OH is a DIY whizz, lots of friends call on her

Aqua teacher must be on holiday Plant .

Take it easy today Oma. We share 2 fish 1 chips and 1 peas when we go to the fish shop.

Lovely day, we had breakfast in the garden.

Clover Ouch it blooming well hurts doesn't it. I bet it brought you out of your zombie like state quickly I often knock my leg on the end of our bed. It's a metal frame and the edge sticks out slightly. Always have a bruise I'm thinking of covering the ends with those pool noodles those sponge tubes. Might not look attractive but would save some pain . It's as you say walking the next few days. Hope it doesn't last long or you will be going out in slippers to save the pain of getting shoes on

Ouch Clover. I know it hurts when you stub your toe.

Didn't have phone call from in laws. I didn't intend for it to sound as mean as it did.

Bought a new car today. Hubby been dithering about it for a couple of days, but we bought it this morning.
He wanted the same one as he already had,but wanted to upgrade. its the colour we wanted as well. New car 001.jpg

We both felt so tired today so had a lazy day just pottering.

This morning I checked on the calendar to see what time my docs appointment was tomorrow......only to find I should have gone yesterday! I felt so awful, rang them up immediately to apologise. They were fine about it, and I’ve managed to get in tomorrow, ive never done that before, too much on my mind I guess. It’s just to get blood tests results and discuss my meds, so nothing really urgent but pleased to get it done. Shoulder still a bit sore so might mention that too.

Plant, P had a scan on Tuesday, will get results next week. Thank you for asking.

Enjoy your new car, Nan2 🚖

I can't see your lovely new car Nan2!
Its not surprising you forgot the appointment with so much going on in your head Enfys. They will understand.

All went well today with mum, and visit to my sister, who is well.
I had to relieve mum of a few chips, as even a child's portion are too many. She eats all the fish though which I am glad about.
OH and I are having a night away tomorrow, this is the anniversary night postponed from April. Despite today's glorious weather, a lot of wind and rain are forecast whilst we are away!
