I’m just here to say hello to everyone. I expect we are all still coming to terms with yesterday’s awful news. You are all on my thoughts.

We we are still in Stoke and wi have to stay tomorrow as well. I’ll write about it when we’re back home, but knowing how I feel I can’t imagine what Paul is going through. Xx

      Good morning everyone.

Oma, you are right. We are thinking of Tizzy, just as we think of our members still here who have problems and worries, but yes life goes on and it must. If I 'pop my clogs' as my OH delightfully puts it, I want you all to carry on chatting!
Safe journey and take care Daisy xx

Lots of overnight rain here too.
As I had GS1 yesterday today is a free day. I must write up the minutes, I never leave it this long after meeting, so I hope I can do a reasonable job!
OH is doing the halfway house again for a golf competition later. This is where they serve tea, coffee, sausage rolls and cake to the competitors halfway round the course.
I need to do a supermarket shop. I had wanted to see Yesterday at Vue as well. Vue and Tesco are in the same area. However is now only showing there in the evenings. It is on on town, but at twice the price of Vue. I may see Lion King at Vue, or may just shop and come home!

      Have a good day ladies.

Morning, I was out bright and early this morning picking brambles/blackberries, there are so many this year, making up for last year. I have already got some in the freezer and a pan of jam made! I will be going again if the weather allows. Going out on the bike later if it isn't too warm.

                Sunny now,but thunderstorms forecast.
                Washing almost dry.

Pork chops and onion gravy in the slow cooker.
Will serve with mash and mixed veg.

Shopping arrived and no missing items.

I'm another that believes we have to try and carry on as normal, after having bad/sad news.

Lizzie, I was picking blackberries in the garden yesterday. Very early this year, but they were lovely on my breakfast overnight oats this morning. I usually make a compote with them and freeze it and it lasts us for ages. Lovely in ice cream.

Afternoon ladies, think we are all a bit blah today after yesterday's news. I had M and T for 4.5 hours this morning they have now left to drive to Bristol airport. They are in Portugal for 14 days, then going back to Swansea with grandparents for 2 days. Their great Aunt will drive them back to Devon and stay over for 5 days. They are sad that they are away on Mums birthday, and we have had our poor DD in tears over the phone, doesn't understand why she can't go as well. 😢😢
We will go see her on her birthday though and hopefully face time the girls. Lots of rain here but it will replenish the 2 water butts. I love blackberries and hope to scavenge some on our walks over Follaton arboretum. Take care all and try to remember the good times with Zizi.

I hope the children have a lovely holiday Libra. It must be so sad, your DD not understanding why she is left behind.

Internet connection is better atm, phone line still dead. Now the laptop isn't working. Tea got spilt on it yesterday, but we dried it out and it worked fine last night and this morning. When I was on it it suddenly switched on and now won't stay on. It comes on and straight off.

I have done a big shop, divided between Aldi and Tesco. I will do the minutes soon.

Sorry for the late posting on Chat. I got up quite late, friend called and I had to go to the hospital to pick up some tablets, they only had one pack so have to go back in 2 days. Went to Waitrose for some fruit, had a sandwich lunch and posted a letter. Since I came home, I have cleaned the bathroom and dusted the bedroom and sitting room. Actually I am not feeling great, feel as though I have a virus building up, sore lumpy throat, slight earache. I have taken some paracetamol, hope they do the trick as I have to go to DS and Dil's to collect a hearing aid I left there, still haven't found the missing one. GD1 is coming home today, not happy in Portugal, boyfriend is picking her up from Gatwick this evening. The rest of the family are back on Thursday. I think she has missed him a lot, especially as he has bought her an engagement ring.

Haven't picked blackberries for years, they are a lovely flavour.

Nanto your meals always sound delicious.

I hope you are not coming down with something Plant.

I'm an idiot - how can I do the minutes with no laptop?!
I will look my notes over and try to get them done on paper for now.

Libra, feel so sorry for T not being able to understand why she can't go.
Wish there was a migic pill that could make her well again, but i suppose you all feel the same.

Gem, hope you manage to get the minutes done on paper.

We had a thunderstorm about 3ish. Very heavy rain on and off since.

Left beautiful sunshine only to arrive at Luton in the rain!!! Had a lovely few days with both DC and GS.and of course OH! Feel shattered tonight, but GS has gone to his other Grandma so it is very quiet and peaceful. The quiet before the storm because doggo arrives next week for his annual holiday while his family are off to Rhodes.

Will write about my trip when I've got unpacked etc.

Meantime enjoy the rest of the evening ladies x
