It's a beautiful summer's day here. Plenty of sunshine but a slight breeze keeping it comfortable.

Nanto - I hope SIL is ok, and I'm sure MIL and FIL are very grateful for you stepping in.

Libra - what a pity you've had to change your plans, but hopefully it's just a one day thing and M will be fine tomorrow. I'm sure she's glad to have you there to tuck her up.

Oma - I do like your new sofa! Ideal for Nana naps. We're on a water meter as well, and I think whenever a house changes ownership they make you have one. They do in our area anyway.

Gem - I'm glad GS1 knows about your poor little kitty, and he will probably be more accepting when he's seen her little memorial, and a photo will give him comfort, too.

OH has just sold my old car - to the mechanic who looks after it!

Been to have BP checked its perfect so tablets working , another test in 4 weeks just to make sure ,
We popped to Aldi then to B&M and bumped into old friends we haven't seen for a very long time , had a good chat and found out they are moving back to the area so have promised to go visit them when they are settled .

Came home and the room stinks its the stuff they spray the sofa with , they told us it would take a day or two to go after it came out of the covers , we had it sprayed with stuff to prevent stains etc it just needs a good airing , I remember my DD's sofa smelling the same so I know it wont last .

GS1 is a sensitive deep thinking soul. Some time ago he told his mum he doesn't want to be told when my mum died as it will be too sad.

J is back at school today seems to be having a good reaction with the cream and it’s drying up, foot, mouth and hand is going about so hopefully it’s not that instead as he’s not poorly with it , they go away in about 10 days

Oma,Pleased the neck pillow helped, and that BP was perfect.

Gem, someone goes to in laws every day. Usually me and sister in law.The one who is poorly just now.
Last year,another sister in law,who see about 3or 4 times a year,told in laws that if they can't look after themselves properly,social services would step in.
She told them that if they have to go into a home,they would lose the house and all their money,because they would have to pay. She's a sister in law who knows everything and knows nothing. Anyway,she managed to get in laws quite worried.

We never use the word sofa,we always say settee. Must be a local dialect thing.

It was a settee when I was growing up. I don't know when I switched to sofa but it's been sofa all my adult life.

GS saw the grave, then wanted us both to take his mum out to see it. It was obviously important to him. His mum suggested he may want to buy something to put on there, and that pleased him. He didn't cry or become visibly upset. He mentioned her a few times, and said he wished she hadn't died. He seems to be accepting of the matter anyway. I will get a photo for him.

Today we are meeting up with the Omas for lunch and good chat We are meeting somewhere in between, it's around an hours drive for us.
I can also deliver Oma's Birmingham train tickets directly to her, rather than via the post.
