I’m glad all seems back to normal with MIL and that all went well for your appointment.

In common with most of the country we have rain. Such a contrast to yesterday. We never get bored with our weather in this country even if it’s not to our liking. My trip to the hairdresser was fine though it felt odd not to have G with me. I enjoyed being on my own for a few hours but I did keep feeling I’d forgotten something G was fine also and had had the lunch I’d left him. He couldn’t really forget as it was under cling film on the coffee table in front of him.
Hope everyone is keeping cosy and dry. I got wet coming back from work and had to change my trousers and socks!

Weather is like a November day, back now and have turned the heating on, my feet are freezing. Warfarin okay, had my injection as my bloods were all okay. The shot up to JL then on to Waitrose had a soup lunch in there. shopping all put away so now I can rest.

Pleased your appt went well Nanto, I am sure mil was pleased to see you, keeping her in for another night sounds like a good idea.

Been to Pilates this morning, nipped in shops on way home. Had a busy busy week looking after grandchildren. Got two tomorrow and overnight, and the other two on Monday all day. Then Wednesday off to France for three weeks in the Motorhome. So a busy few days ahead!

The only way I know it's NOT November is it's 4.50 and still daylight - but only just. What a miserable day!

Nanto - pleased to hear mum is back to her old self. I hope they can do something to help with her pain. Very good news from your appointment. xx

Oh dear. I give up for now. Cooper is insisting he wants his say - mainly 'woof, woof, woof, WOOF!' He knows it's time to go home, and he probably wants his dinner!

Crikey,it certainly doesn't look and feel like June.
              Wet,cold and dark.

Daisy, poor Cooper, are you starving him.

              Plant,pleased your appointments went well.

Oma, dad is ok. He's had some company and plenty of chats with us all on the phone.

Clover, pleased all was well while you were at the hairdressers.

Nan2, that's great that you don't have to go back for another year.
Good to know your results were good too Plant.

GS 2 was very cuddly today. Mummy has been away most of the week and although SIL is brilliant, at just 3 I think GS misses mummy cuddles. He came to me lots to just throw his arms around my neck and snuggle up.
He is usually happy to stay with OH when I for GD but having said he would, at the last minute he changed his mind. Grandma as mummy substitute today I think. His Gran is away on holiday so I was the only adult female for cuddles this week. DD is back before his bedtime tomorrow.
He was so excited when GD and I told him
On the way home GD and I realised that GS needed the toilet. He gets very whiny if he needs to go so we worked it out. Luckily I was just passing the Designer Outlet so quickly changed lanes to go into there for the loos. GD was so helpful, showing the me the family loos which I didn't know about. Tiny toilet and normal size one and washbasin, all in a big cubicle, so we went in there. He asked about the outdoor play area and gingerbread men, but we managed to escape with just a quick look around Build A Bear then back to the car!

Plant - pleased to hear your results were all good.

Oma - poor Storm getting stung on his nose. Noses and muzzles can take ages to heal. I remember one of our border collies getting his nose prickled by a hedgehog and it took several trips to the vet, industrial quantities of medication and a couple of months for it to heal up. Cooper was stung on his eyelid by a bee last week and that's still a bit swollen, but doesn't seem to be bothering him. Nanto - I did starve Cooper, poor doggy! He got fed when he got home, rather than travel on a full tummy!!

Gem - I'm sure GS2 is being well looked after but he obviously wants the nearest he can get to mummy cuddles - good job you were there to give him lots. I wish those family loos had been around when our children were little! Most of the caravan sites we stay on have family bathrooms which are also a great idea.

Clover - I'm so glad your solo trip to the hairdressers went so well. You do need some time to yourself, even if it's just to think your own thoughts without being distracted. I got soaked every time I went out today - hopefully it will be a bit drier tomorrow.

Avo - I bet you're worn out, and by the time you've done Monday and no doubt had a busy day on Tuesday packing etc you will be more than ready for your Motorhome trip to France. Whereabouts are you going - are you travelling to a specific place or moving around? Hopefully three weeks will give you chance to relax and feel the benefit of it.

I don't seem to have done much today so tomorrow I'll have to tackle a laundry bin full of washing, change our bed and wave the yellow cloth thingy about a bit. Nothing exciting planned.

Good morning. I think we are due more rain today.

I thought we were only going supermarket shopping today, but hubby says he needs to go into town.

Oma, hope storm is ok after getting stung.

That will be my job while watching tv this evening.

Good morning Nanto and Oma and later arrivals!

It's blustery and grey here, but at least it's not raining.

Oma - yes, I don't know why we have so much washing for two! I've got about 5 loads to do today, including bedding.

Nanto - my OH has just bought some new trousers which are slightly too long, but he really likes them. I know if I turned them up they'd look like out bathroom curtains (Oma saw them and instantly knew I couldn't sew!!!), so I'm waiting for the girls' other gran to come back from holiday!

I was wondering how Qwerty and OH are enjoying themselves. I do hope they're getting good weather.

                        Enjoy your day, ladies.

                          Good morning all.
Nan2, you are good taking up FIL's trousers!
Oma, GD is amazing with her little brother. I am so proud of her (and tell her often)
                          Daisy I cant sew either!
I hope Qwerty is having a lovely time and the weather is sunny. Not sure how I would cope for so long with no internet or good phone signal though! I'm too addicted

Pride Day here, and not the best weather for it. We had already decided not to got the racecourse for the main event. We wanted to go last year, and enjoyed it but didn't think we would again this year. We may go into town to see the parade set off though, as that is something I have never seen. I need to pick up some theatre tickets, so can do that at the same time.
I will go over to mums this afternoon to see her and do a couple of things, as we will be out all day tomorrow, and I don't plan on going on my birthday.

                          Have a good Saturday everyone.

Windy and wet here, very miserable. Woke up at 6am, refused to get up that early and managed to get back to sleep until 9.30. Very dreamy sleep.

No real plans today, might catch up with some craft I am in the middle of. I hate turning up trousers Nanto.

I am sure DD will be getting a lot of cuddles when she is back Gemini. Hope you enjoy the show in spite of the weather.

I am wondering how Qwerty and her OH are getting on.

Good afternoon all well a bit of sunshine but an awful lot of heavy showers 🤨 We were hoping to get the bamboo screening up today, but doesn't look like weather will permit. Changed the car today, was sad saying goodbye to old Bessie but after 11 years faithful service she has gone. We now have a newer Kia Picanto, still a used car as I don't drive enough to warrant the expense of a new one. She's lovely and sleek and silver and if she gives the same fantastic service my little Citroen gave I will be happy. Hope Qwerty and OH are having a great relaxing time in Spain. Weather has got to be better than ours.🤞 3 more weeks until we go home to Poole for 4 whole, wonderful days. You can take the girl out of Dorset but can't take Dorset out the girl. Contemplating whether or not to do a small pile of ironing or sit and do my crochet. Hmmmm decisions decisions 🤔. Have a good day whatever your doing, and Oma I hope Storms nose is better Shiloh the nut tries to catch bees in his mouth, one of these days he is going to get stung. 🐝

Good afternoon all. What a funny day weatherwise. One minute lovely sunshine then pouring with rain and dark.

We were woken in the night by the smoke alarm beeping, lights wouldn’t work and all in darkness outside. Somewhere had been struck by lightning and we had a power cut. Luckily it was all back on after an hour so didn’t cause any problems.

I was meant to be going to my knit and natter group, it’s knit in public day today and we had an event at the library. But after our broken nights sleep we both overslept so I’m all behind now. Didn’t fancy driving in this awful weather anyway, so I’m going to get on with my knitting and relax after a busy morning baking.

P is feeling much better, just needs to work on getting his stamina up but is more like his old self.

Hope you are all having a good day. 🌞☔️
