we have just enjoyed watching the first episode of Les Miserables on BBC. Thoroughly enjoyed it, beautifully filmed and looking forward to the next episode. I know the story, have enjoyed the stage musical and the film but it was nice to see this version. Any one else see it?

Enfys - I've seen Les Mis on stage in the West End, but I can't actually remember the story! I must be the only person in the world who doesn't know it!! I'll have to watch it on catch up as it sounds lovely."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

And I thought that I had an eye for detail Gran2aj😉 I caught up with the first episode today. Really enjoying it so far but I am a Derek Jacobi (sp?) fan."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Oooh. I can't stand the suspense. Watched all of it so far & next week's is the last one. I have forgotten the story as I've only seen the musical when it was on tv. I cried at that being the soppy creature I am. I'm so cross at the young girl (who faints at the drop of a hat) for putting him in danger. It's a good example of how people's lives can be linked without knowing it.
After the last episode I'm glad we don't have 'smelly vision'😷."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Gem it was a good job I was at home as I actually sobbed & made that snorting sound, (as you do). Going off on a tangent I also cried when Dobbie died in Harry Potter.😢"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
