    Les Miserables

we have just enjoyed watching the first episode of Les Miserables on BBC. Thoroughly enjoyed it, beautifully filmed and looking forward to the next episode. I know the story, have enjoyed the stage musical and the film but it was nice to see this version. Any one else see it?

Enfys - I've seen Les Mis on stage in the West End, but I can't actually remember the story! I must be the only person in the world who doesn't know it!! I'll have to watch it on catch up as it sounds lovely.

I’ve seen it at the west end 4 times it’s my all time favourite musical, seen a few amateur productions too which were quite good, have the album and film, and have taped the Les Mis I’ll watch it when I’m not so miserable 😖

And I thought that I had an eye for detail Gran2aj😉 I caught up with the first episode today. Really enjoying it so far but I am a Derek Jacobi (sp?) fan.

Oooh. I can't stand the suspense. Watched all of it so far & next week's is the last one. I have forgotten the story as I've only seen the musical when it was on tv. I cried at that being the soppy creature I am. I'm so cross at the young girl (who faints at the drop of a hat) for putting him in danger. It's a good example of how people's lives can be linked without knowing it.

After the last episode I'm glad we don't have 'smelly vision'😷.

Nana, The musical version is not a crying film, it is what I term an out and out sobbing one, so you are not soppy for crying at it

Gem it was a good job I was at home as I actually sobbed & made that snorting sound, (as you do). Going off on a tangent I also cried when Dobbie died in Harry Potter.😢

Oh yes, poor Dobbie 😭, me too. This is why I don’t want to see Warhorse, I’d be a wreck.
