    Poor Dobbie

I saw the film of Warhorse Enfys, and it wasn't as sob worthy as Les Mis, to my mind.
In Les Mis it was the combination of sadness and pure kindness and goodness all together which got to me. I was in the cinema with a group of friends, and OH who rarely cries at anything. I didn't know the story so was totally unprepared for it, and had to restrain myself from sobbing noisily

But when it’s animals i seem to be worse. I know they’re only puppets but it’s the whole story. What a soppy date I am.

Enfys, OH won't go and see the stage show of War Horse, for the same reason as you. She is never moved to tears in things involving people!! We saw the film War Horse on dvd. I would like to see the play, live on on a live streaming but haven't managed it yet.
My mum and DD2 saw it live streamed and were so impressed.

I can’t believe you havnt seen the stage version Gem, I couldn’t believe what I was watching in London so we went 4 more times to see it over a few years, and I have watched many amdram versions too all good, the first London production had Michael Ball in as Marius and a man called Coln Wilkinson he is quite well known in musicals the voice of an angel played Jean val Jean he’s irish born but is now a Canadian citizen , he also payed Phantom, Don Quixote and Chess if you get the chance to hear him you’ll be blown away

I won't spoil it for anyone who didn't see Lee Mis tonight but I was so disappointed with the last episode. I thought it was such an anti-climax. Must get the film of the musical tho at some point. What did anyone else think?

Oh, we enjoyed it. I knew how it ended so wasn’t disappointed, sorry it’s finished though. Loved the way it was shot and all the costumes etc.
