Thankyou, the last I heard she was waiting for the doctor.

There is news, all very strange, she is home without having the drain. She had a scan a fortnight ago, she never heard from the consultant at all, she got a call from the hospital on Friday afternoon asking where she was, they had a bed ready for her and she should have been there at 2pm, only thing was someone along the line forgot to contact her! She panicked of course and hubby drove her to the hospital where the doctor said to her "oh, you are here at last", she explained she hadn't heard anything at all.
They informed her that they were going to put a drain in and how it all works etc, this was going to happen at 11am yesterday, 2 doctors examined her, they did an echo and they said there wasn't enough fluid to do the drain so she had to have an Xray and then she could go home! She is home and hoping to hear more from the nurse or doctor. Very strange!

Very strange as you say Lizzie. Your sister won’t know if she’s coming or going.
I had a similar experience some years ago when I was going in for a hip replacement. All arrangements made to go in on a certain day and then came a phone call the previous evening asking where I was. Now I’m sure if I’d been told to check in that evening I would have remembered. Anyway a very early start the next day was arranged! All went well and I was thankful for that.

Lizzie - I bet your sister doesn't know whether she's coming or going. It must have been very confusing for her. Are they doing a follow up to check if there's any more fluid building up?
Clover - you wouldn't have made a mistake about when you had to go into hospital, but I'm glad it turned out ok in the end. xx
